Thank You For The Beta Invite

Post » Mon Mar 17, 2014 7:12 am

I would like to thank the developers, beta testers, and all the other people involved with getting this game ready for the beta.

I have really enjoyed testing and playing for fun.

I was going to only buy the digital standard version but after this beta weekend with the horse, I would have to choose the digital imperial version.

I have worked on a game as a game tester (Mass Effect) and I have to say I am really impressed with this game.

Keep up the great work and this game will be an awesome success.

Decon out

You're doing it wrong. You need a title that says "Why the game will fail" then list a bunch of reasons why you're canceling your pre-order.

Jokes aside. I haven't really expressed my thanks yet either, and even though it's unlikely any developers will see this, I'm thankful for the beta invites. I can only hope my feed-back and bug reports were helpful.

Roll on early access!

Thanks from me as well!

I'd already pre-ordered the digital Imperial edition before the invite, thanks to the hubby working at Gamestop, but I've loved the opportunity to get a look at what I have to look forward too as well as help the game smooth out rough edges. :)

Thanks for the invite, and for the hard work!

I'd like to say thanks, too.

There are things I already love. Crafting/gathering. Graphics and lore. The variety of building styles and designs. The open cities and how most buildings are capable of just being walked in instead of loading. The handling of merchants and NPCs.

There are things I already dislike. Movement animations are weak and lightweight. Zones are narrow and don't feel really explorable. Tutorial changes are worse than what we had before (why not just have an NPC on the starter island that lets you say 'screw this, take me to *insert big city*'). And I'm upset that characters can't be made large/masculine enough for my tastes. Orcs' are about the only race with large enough shoulder/chest proportions.

There are things I want. Player housing. More zones. More social opportunities and guild controls. More PvP options. More character customization, including many more skin tones, hair styles, separation of beards and facial art/decorations, separation of body scars and body art/decorations, adjustable colors on all art/decorations and hair.

All in all, I've bought in and really am now sitting impatient waiting to actually start growing my character. I do appreciate what the devs have done, and look forward to playing with everyone in two weeks!
