A Thank You Thread

Post » Thu Oct 21, 2010 6:21 pm

I'm sorry if someone has already posted this type of thread, but there's been so much activity recently it's a bit hard to keep track. So if someone things it's repetitive or useless you can lock it down if necessary.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone at Bethesda for making this game and spending 4-5 years of hard work on something that sounds like it's going to be great. I will admit I've looked at some scans online, and even from the rather poor quality, I love how detailed everything looks. I can't wait to buy the actual magazine so I can look at the real screens, and especially can't wait to see the game in action. If the stabbing scene I saw is directly from the game, that's amazing. I hope backstabbing and such are possible with the new combat system. I think it looks grittier than Oblivion, which is what I was hoping for, and it sounds like pretty much exactly what I was wanting for in the next game. I love how the wolves look so much more feral, unlike the sort of clean look they had in Oblivion. Also, as many other people have said, that shot of the dragon flying over--beautiful. I just wanted all the people who worked hard on this game to know that some people really do appreciate all the time you've spent crafting this new masterpiece.

Please, can we keep this thread to positive input about the new game? I'm getting rather frustrated reading through all the various threads about how such-and-such hasn't been implemented right or that I was expecting something-or-other to be better. We've only had a few screen shots, some general information on changes, and a few, vague, specifics about game play--there's no reason to start making judgments before we see the game in action and actually know how everything works. I personally think that many of the people who complain that the game isn't how they want it to be should just make their own and discover how hard it is to implement every single thing you might want.

So, anyone who wants to shout out a thanks or talk about anything they're particularly excited for are welcome, but please leave the more negative comments to other threads. I want this to mainly be a thread showing Bethesda how much the community loves them and appreciate all that they do!

Thanks again everyone!! Can't wait to see more! I'm going to start annoying the EB Games around to see when they expect the magazine in.

Im def excited for some more TES. Long live this series - it is but a beacon in this watered down, wii infested waste this gaming industry has become. It may not be perfect but it's like no other ever attempted. Be thankful someone does this guys.

As much as we complain - besides Beth, who the hell attempts games like this? Not Activision. Not EA. These are some dedicated and creative guys. I dont play games too much and spend most time boxing and whatnot but this truly brings out the nerd in me. Its the fine wine of video games. If Im gonna put time into a game, I'd like it to be a BGS game.

Good vibes, all around. We're all psyched, which is why we're picking it apart, and though some of us may be a bit... critical, it's all because we love this wonderful series that Bethesda has carefully crafted for seventeen years now.
To Skyrim!

Your gods of game design as always BGS. Now to give you money equal to whatever the Collector's Edition is going to cost.

No kidding!

In an age of half-hearted, short selling RPGs, Bethesda produces classics that are re-playable even a decade later.

I would like to welcome this thread as well, especially because of sooooo much whining from a lot of the forum members about some trivial things such as total skills number, quest cursor, or some sort of level scaling.

Why are people whining when they haven't played the game. Buy the game, play the game, and then whine. I was browsing through some other forums and other people are very excited, almost delirious about this game.

TES fans, you are great fans, but please stop whining so much.

Thanks
