That annoying resource collection animation

Post » Sat Feb 13, 2016 11:51 pm

Now i have few tens of rooms that produce power, food, and water in my shelter. For every few tens of seconds, whole rooms are covered with the animating resource-ready-to-collect green squares and I have to play an whack-a-mole game, that i have to peck all the squares with flying resource icons. It is very annoying.

And the green animations drag whole CPU and GPU down. Screen become unresponsive and jerky. They consumes lots of GPU performance and drains battery power and make my iphone 5s uncomfortably hot. Real big performance hit they are. Once all resources are collected and the square and flying icons are gone, it works smoothly as before, in every few tens of seconds. It is very annoying and hinders concentrating on real strategic gaming. I want to play slow "The Sims" style game, not quick whack-a-mole arcade game in every few tens of seconds.

Please add some graphics option for simplifying the annoying animations: both the green squares and flying ones. Or auto resource collection option that displays simple indication or without annoying animation.

This is the most annoying feature of this otherwise very good game. Removing the animation or automating resource collection will not harm the fun of this game and save a lot of performance headache for slow old smartphones.

Then I'd recommend not playing it anymore if it's unplayable for you. It is what it is and probably get any better.

I don't think so. It will boost sales of this fine games to add some option or feature that make this game run smooth and comfortably on old and slow smartphone. The devs have strong incentive to implement such improvement.

And iphone 5S(with 1MB RAM) is not that old machine. Any current gen major game should run smoothly on this iphone 5S.

More than that I want to play overseer (namely God) of these dwellers , not daily servant.
