In my eagerness to play Skyrim I began showing my friends pic and vids.

Whilst watching the http://www.elderscrolls.com/ my friend said "Is that an elf?". So I looked again and at 1.32 (assassination in tavern) it looks like an elf by the fire.

Has anyone seen a close up with a video editing software?

Yeah I thought it was an elf too a while back, but no-one listened. Or I wasn't very vocal. Perhaps both.

Yes, that is an elf. My question to you would be, why are you surprised? Other races may be less common in Skyrim, but they still exist.

Yes, that's an elf. We've known this for a while. Judging by her build and facial structure I'd say she's probably a Dunmer with relatively light skin, colored slightly orange by the fire she's sitting in front of.

Looks surprisingly similar to how elves look in Oblivion actually. Same pulled-back hair and slightly alien look. Maybe elves aren't getting the same overhaul treatment as orcs or khajiits.

Uh... almost every race could have their hair pulled back in a ponytail. You're also judging it from a single half-second bit of video from the trailer, of a single character far in the background whose face is obscured not only by the coloration of the flames but also by the wavering effect of the heated air above them. It's hard to pinpoint which elven race or even gender, honestly. It could be a metrosixual Altmer for all we know.

It may just be a really lousy example of an elf, bad job on the face? :unsure2:

Yeah, and that fog-obscured bush we see in the background for a microsecond as the camera pans dramatically across the landscape following the Dragon Shout looked really crappy, too.

It's possible that it's someone disguised as an elf for one reason or another :shrug:

Lol. And I think that city we saw over the arched rock is actually just more rock that happened to take an incredibly unlikely shape for some reason.

Not to mention the game is far from being done.

It could just be a placeholder elf or a very early version.

Okay, could people stop saying this for EVERYTHING? Yes, the game is not entirely complete, they are still adding things in and fiddling with details, but there are less than 6 months remaining and they'll need at least a month in advance (at least that is what I have been told about game production) for distribution of the game to retailers and all that stuff. I don't think they're going to do something like completely redesign the NPCs faces at this point. I mean I've heard people say "Oh, so what it's about the same size as Oblivion? It's far from being done, they'll just make it bigger!" and it gets a bit ridiculous.

Dunmer better look a lot better than that Elf... <_<

I'm gonna wager a guess, I think it's a female Altmer, with what looks like black eyes.

the male playing the guitar is an elf to with different skin colour.
