Like most Brink fans, I messed with different appearances for a while before I created a character whose visual appearance I was proud of. All of my characters have the Peripherial Vision upgrade which switches the camera to third person and allows you to look around while performing tasks. When I play online, my character often randomly and automatically changes into a different character, not one of mine, but a random, jumbled one. Occasionally, it is complete and I receive a disjointed looking character who looks nothing like my own. Other times, it is partial and my character's skin, hair color, or archetype will change. It doesn't effect the gameplay, and I've never had my bodytype change. I'm simply distracted by the fact that I'm rolling a hideous character about who isn't the one I put together.
One of my characters, a Bruiser archetype who looks like Ice T, has had a seemingly permanent voice change. I gave this dark-skinned character a voice more suited for a black man. His voice has changed to match the voice of my first character, who is caucasian (I think). While that voice suits my other character, it looks silly coming from my Bruiser.
I'm concerned that people who do not use Peripherial Vision do not realize that their characters are being randomly jumbled.
This shouldn't be one of the dev's main priorities, but I would like to see the problem eventually fixed.
