I'm pretty certain unless it is a zombie in armor. O.o

Yeah, the forum unanimously agreed it was a Dark Elf in multiple different threads.

Races change. Todd said each one of them will be more unique. Different skin textures and coloring may be an example of this. Or it could just be the lighting.

I initially thought it was an undead, it has a similar outfit to what we've seen other undead monsters wearing in other pictures.

But its skin does look too smooth, so I'm going to go with Dunmer as well.

Regardless, that is most definitely not an Orc.

Not quite sure what it is, but it's too spindly to be an Orc.

Um, not at all dude. Looks just like Dunmer skin to me. Plus, going off of what Danger Dan said, Todd mentioned that elves and beast races will look much more unique. This is prevalent in the trailer when you see the Altmer with pronounced cheeks and a slender body-type. You can barely see it, but check out where the hole is in the helm that the Dunmer has on in this pic. You can kinda make out the sunken in cheeks a bit. This could either be me looking at things wrong, or an example of further race detailing or maybe even Porphyric Hemophilia (even though this is a huge claim to even make given such small evidence, yet the image is in a dungeon so it isn't out of the question for it to be a Dunmer vampire). I'm totally calling Dunmer bandit though hehe.

I personally think it's a Dark Elf. It doesn't look muscular enough to be an Orc. Possibly a goblin, but goblins tend to be shorter and scrawnier.

Yeah looking back at it, it does look like a Dunmer kind of a dark green skin.

But he does look short so it could still possibly be a goblin... just saying.

It's a possibility I guess...but Goblins aren't as tall as Mer and Men in an upright position. And they're way too bony.

Edit: Also check out the hands. Normal elven hands there. Goblins have claws.

Guys, there's really no need to discuss this any longer. You can just look at the armor and tell that it's not a goblin...

I think people need a reminder of what goblins look like: http://scottisalwaysright.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Oblivion-Goblin.jpg

Too tall. The head is too small. The skin is too smooth. A goblin's skin is rough and a goblin's ears stick out where a simple helmet wouldn't cover their ears.

Its most likely a playable race seeing as how its wearing the armor we've seen in all the pics and the Gameplay trailer.

Could be a Netherlich. Personally I'm confident that it's not an Orc. Could be a Dunmer but it appears to be a bit thin and the skin seems too mottled. Could be a Goblin but the armor doesn't look like goblin armor.

I'm 100% sure it's a Dunmer.

It doesn't look like any of the goblins that we've seen in any other Elder Scrolls game.

If it was a goblin, it's neck would be jutting forward rather than up. I would also say that it's too slender to be an Orc.

It is definitely a Dark Elf, it doesn't look like anything else to me.

I'm almost certain that's a Dunmer. It's wearing playable (is that the word I want?) armour and too tall to be a goblin (besides, the head's all wrong), not bulky enough to be an Orc and as for draugr/undead, well it just does not look that way to me.

This. And whoever mentioned Draugr didn't read the entire, whopping two pages of this thread. :nono:

Or else they would have seen this:
