That Orc

Also, does he have two different colored eyes, or is it just lighting from a weird angle that is creating that effect?

I think its a face option with a face paint modifier. Like the face and paint markings are separate.

I hope they let us have two blind eyes. I'd love to roleplay a blind High/Wood Elf.

Cool orc, cool sword, cool place :)

Only wish his armor textures would be better though. They're so low-res compared to the face, which creates a rather big contrast.

360 screen on a PC, it's not going to be perfect. Console textures are meant to be seen from a distance so you won't notice the flaws on the tv and the PC version will eliminate those flaws. So yeah, I think everyone should just leave "low-res" out of any conversation talking about screens because they will look low res on the pc because they aren't meant to be seen on the pc.

Or better yet, bring wood elves back to their original glory of being normal size elves that are fit instead of being short, pudgy and annoying hehe.

Me like that that kind of orc. Much better then the big headed craggy faced cohorts from previous games. Someone shop a comparison image please.

From the Khajiits thread:
Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim comparison:

There wasn't a thread and orc discussion kept pouring into the khajiit thread, so let's discuss the orcs.

His skin looks like skin. That alone is insane. Other than that, people have mentioned that he has a broken tooth and messed-up eye. He looks pretty damn awesome if I say so.

Looks badaaaaassss.

Clearly a massive step forward from the Shrek-alike Orcs in Oblivion, makes them look like cartoon jokes by comparison

We need to know more about the customization, but the mere possibility of face paint, teeth, glass eyes etc has me drooling in anticipation

While I'll admit the Orc looks about ten times better, I'm sure as hell not playing one. Because when I play an Orc, I can literally feel there low self esteem and short temper, makes me uncomfortable. I prefer a Nord or a Bosmer myself, and perhaps a Breton.

Also, if that bar lady was a Nord, I'm very pleased. She actually looks like shes of Scandinavian descent.

I'm still not playing an Orc....

But on the bright side, at least now it won't be like I'm murdering shrek everytime an Orc irritates me.

The first thing I did when I saw that orc is to decide I definetely wanted to be an orc on my first play.

Then I took the pic and made it my avatar!

Not sure about a blind character but two white eyes would be good for a mage character!

I'm considering playing an orc now... Oblivions were far too comical for me. I made one orc character, and he was called Shrek. That orc though... that is something which I could actually sink hours of playing into.

Looks like this schizophrenic texture quality is going to be the order of the day for Skyrim, because even the background is similarly mixed. The leaves on the right side of the screen look good...but those branches extending out on the left are embarrassing. In fact, so is that entire standing tree in the background. :(

I had never even thought about playing an orc before, but this screenshot makes me really want to.

Ditto. This guy looks [censored]in' badass, like he eats dragons for lunch.

Definitely like what the tattoo, blind eye, chipped tusk, and light beard imply for the new face generator as well.

First it was all about the nord... Then came the orc. People are getting to conclusions quickly. judging on the amount of races left I doubt beth has played thier best card so early. argonian. bosmer. Redguard. Dark elf. All still wait

Possible voice actors: James Earl Jones, Mr. T, Michael Clarke Duncan.

Honestly, this guy looks like he could slay dragons with his disapproval.
