That pesky 100 locations achievement.

So I'm trying to get that last achievement on the 360 for 100 locations. I normally play on average difficulty, but decided to up it to hard thinking the challenge would make the grind a little more entertaining. To be honest, its not. Enemies are just as dumb, and it only takes an extra shot or two, and all of the extra exp has me at almost level 10 and only having found like 13 or 14 locations.

This means I'll end up spending most of my time at level 20 (job hunting now so no $$$ for expansions at the moment) wandering around maxed just trying to hit that number 100.

I'm wandering if maybe it would be better to turn the game down to Easy, to lower the exp gains, and build my character around a lot of custom weapons like Shiskebab, Railway Rifle, Nuka Grenade, and Dart Gun so that it will push me to go more places to find more parts. I'd be a melee character (not optimal) with grenades and some custom guns in order to keep it interesting.

My fear is that lowering the difficulty level will make it so mind-numbingly easy that I'll get hard to stay interesting. I'm just curious as to how people got to that 100 locations achievement.

Yes, without the expansions eventually your going not hear that discovery sound as you have maxed out your levels. The game plays just fine at the maxed level, so there is no reason not to play that way.

Make sure you talk to Reilly's Rangers so you can get some caps for all the places you have discovered.
