No offense but how many times do people have to say BETHESDA DIDN'T MAKE Fallout New Vegas before people realise they didn't

Sorry but it starts to get a little annoying

Sorry for the outburst again

It was Obsidian Entertainment, a company owned by some of the people who made the originals

Ninja'ed

This is not rocket science people.

And by the way, you do not know how to play the game if it took you 14 hours. I am 270 hours in. On two characters, (with the time combined.)
You need to explore more, and not just stick to the main quest.

You should've strayed from the main path more. The game even encourages for it, because so many other thigns affect the ending.

in an open world game. main quests are usually the least important part.

plus there are 4 different mission paths depending on who you side with

It's okay just keep it in mind for future reference :)

But yeah a speed run of any fallout game is a real waste imo, like DarkxWater23 and Undecaf said stray from the path and do other things you'll enjoy it a lot more. In RPG's the emphasis isn't really on the MQ's length

75%-80% of the game was already "made" before Obsidian even touched it.
The work a contractor creates belongs to the company which contracted the work. Saying either Bethesda, or even Zenimax "made" the game, would be accurate.

Tell me this. Why does Betheseda take about...100% of the credit of making it and Obsidian takes a little ad on the start-up on the game.

They're the publisher, they fork over all the cash and own the rights. Most likely did the marketing too. Just the way business is done these days.

Bethesda is the publisher. Obsidian made the game.

SystemShock: By that logic the paint company made the artist's work.

He is right. It's called intellectual rights, or intellectual property. Anything created under a contract that has rights over the creators intellectual property, condemns anything the artist//writer//creater did.

It's not THAT bad, a better one though might be with regards to computers. People will buy a Dell (or used to) and say "I have a Dell!", but the parts behind it are not Dell's at all, they're Intel, ASUS, etc.

Or how about this one, American car companies have made cars using Japanese engines, so is the car a Japanese car? Without the engine it's not going anywhere, but the American logo is slapped on the front of the car. Since Bethesda/Zenimax created the original Fallout 3 (the "Engine"), Obsidian just built around it (the body, the frame, the steering column, etc, etc), so by your logic, it's Bethesda's game. By car logic, that's Ford's car, even if it's a Honda engine in it.

I don't really care either way.

They didn't create the engine in a sense they made the game act the way it acts(Easy words they program the engine with ECU tuning and placed a supercharger on it to improve on it) Gamebyro was mainly an RTS engine till oblivion(morrowind before it used the engine I guess as well) came by
Don't believe me?

http://www.emergent.net/en/Clients--Titles/
Here's my proof

(When will people use Gamebyro DX11 :( )

Any way forgot to add I beated the game in 0.001 seconds I am that good yaw

Not to crush your stats but I did this in 2 hours and 40 minutes while not attacking anything. The game is long, but like all previous Fallout games, if you just stick to the mq's. You'll finish the game really fast. So explore and be naughty once and awhile. They need to make the game waaay less glitchy and more console friendly. ^_^

No, Obsidian made the game...The story and logic behind the front-end was made by obsidian

The engine was made by Emergent Game Technologies

The middle-end the components used to make people objects and living scripts or whatever were Bethesda(Textures, etc.)

----
An engine needs to be tuned to work with the car it's placed in, Ipitydafoo

I was mostly referring to SystemShock's logic, which was more of an un-technical look at things. But thanks for that info... I guess?
