OOC: jesus tapdancin christ this moved quickly yesterday it was like 4 posts now 26!

IC:

"M'lord's! All Knights of the Nine are to report to the Third Dock and board the three ships waiting for you. Your horses will board another ship, so do not worry about taking your horse. Thank you and may the Nine go with you."

Robert was woken suddenly from the nap he had taken by the deep, baritone voice of the town crier

'Hmm looks just like the old town crier.'
'Yeah he does, probably Quintinius' son.'

Whilst he was thinking Robert was quickly gathering his gear and scolding his Bosmer squire for not waking him.
As he srinted out the door Robert saw huge numbers of Bretons, Imperials, a few Nords and a Dunmer

'Theres alot more than I thought there would be.'
'We know, what's with the Dunmer, sticks out like a damned Altmer in Valenwood.'
'Well you tell me one Imperial that has a kitten, and a flame-sword that doesn't'
'He could of at least thought of an original enchantment.'
'Well he is a Dunmer.'
'Was that Us being racist?'
'Nay, you fool, you know Dunmer, Fire go together like Imperials and money.'

Robert suddenly realised that he had actually got on the ship without realising it.

'Ahhh I've got a very bad feeling about this.....'

Largrath shut his book, patting his cat on the head. Setting the book on a chain, he got up, his cat doing the same.

"Maybe there are some books downstairs?" he said to his cat, walking toward the captains cabin, leaving his sheathe, which held his blade, behind, unaware.

As Robert walked to find what was to be his cabin for the trip to the land of the Ra'gada, he accidentaly walked into the wrong room. It was empty but as he turned to leave he spied the flame-sword of the Dunmer that he saw earlier.

'Hmmm I'm sure he won't mind if I see how good this Mer is as an enchanter.'

Just as he was about to pick it up he noticed that the grip of the sword smelt like burnt skin

'Well that is a rather handy anti-theft device.'
'Yes we must try that with Our sword.'
'We really must name It.'
'Yes well We never really..'

Robert's internal monologue was cut short as he heard footsteps he was not sure whether it was the Dunmer, or just another fool trying to make fame and fortune from the blood of the Redguard

Largrath walked back out, his cat walking beside him. He spotted the mage by his sword, "Oi, N'wah! Dont touch that blade! It will burn you!"

He rushed over, picking it up by the sheathe and strapping it across his arm.

"Hmm.. What is your name?"

The ship's began to disembark fromt he dock's as everyone got settled in, or was nearly there. Men yelling and calling out could be heard, as the ship caught wind and set off to Sentinel. Richard and Charles had found their room, where they would stay for the trip.

"Very nice quarter's dont you think Charles?" Richard said with a overly sarcastic tone, but Charles did'nt pick up on it.

"Yes sir! Very nice. I wish I was a Knight of the Nine, then I could have great adventures all by myself!" Charles said falling onto his bed. Richard looked at him with a stout look on his face.

"Oh sorry sir, I'm just so excited to go on this Crusade"

"Yes... Well first help me out of my armor and we shall go above deck and watch the seamen scurry about their duties. What do you say about that young Charles?" Charles looked up at Richard with big eye's and a even bigger smile.

"Yes M'lord it will we an exciting adventure indeed even on this ship," Charles said helping Sir Richard take his tunic and chain mail currais off. The armor was placed in a trunk, while Richard placed his helmet on the top of the trunk.

The sea crashing against the ship, as the ship cut its way through the water sounded so relaxing that Richard nodded off, and Charles ran about looking at all the other Knights and Men-at-Arms. Charles walked down the hall, that led to the room of one of the Knights he had seen in the inn.

"Excuse me sir, but where is the stair's to the upper deck?" Charles looked at the man's cat that pured abit loud...

Largrath turned toward the squire, "Hmmm. This way I beleive." Largrath said, setting his on his arm as he walked out of the room.

"So, who are you with?" he questioned the squire, curiousity in his native Dunmer voice.

"Ah, fine timing." remarked Edwinn, the messenger telling them just as they finished up their meal, their bellies filled for the time. And probably the last time they would be properly fed. thought the BReton, though he didn't share those thoughts with his young squire, who started looking a little anxious and nervous about the trip.

"Come lad. A grand adventure awaits us, and she shall not wait for our lazy hides!" he said, rising from his chair.

Bradon did the same, a slight smile finding its way onto his face as he pushed his chair in and shouldered their pack of supplies. The boy had long since learned to carry the pack, properly distributing the immense weight so as to not tire his shoulders too quickly. Not all of their supplies were with them, the tinderbox and blankets and such remained on the horses, but they had brought clothes and food for the trip.

Edwinn led them through the busy streets, pushing through the large crowds who had gathered at the docks to see the soldiers off to get to a fine looking vessel. May woman cried for their husbands departure, throwing flowers into the water, and crying loudly. Priests prayed in large groups, asking the Nine to watch over the brave soldiers, and to help cast down the "evil" Ra'Gada.

They made their way up the ramp onto the ship, moving into the narrow halls to find an empty room. They found one almost in the middle of the ship, and went inside, closing the door behind them. The cabin housed one bed, and one feather bed, which rested against the wall, ready to be put out on the floor for the squire.

"Well, its not much, but this gives you time to say goodbye to a life of comfort for the time being." said Edwinn, looking at Bradon's face. "Set your bed up, and unpack my clothes. Then we can go above deck if you'd like."

Bradon nodded vigorously and went about pulling out Edwinn's casual clothing, as the knight began taking his armor off, guessing it was going to become fairly hot soon.

They were soon on their way down the hall, passing the rooms of other knights, finding the stairs to the deck, and heading up them. They came up onto the deck, and Edwinn led them over to the rail that ran along the ships side, leaninf against it, and staring out at the sea, and the departing land.

Bradon watched for a while to, but soon became bored, and began watching the activity on the ships deck with interest. He looked around, trying to spot the boy from the bar that had been sitting alone....

Alrik, now standing in his room, could hear the sounds of the sea as they departed. "Percy," he called to the boy, "get my casual clothes ready, I will be taking this armor off."

"Yes sir, " Percy quickly got to action, almost running over to their packs. "would you like the green or black shirt sir?"

"The black one will do just fine." Alrik began the arduous task of taking his armor off. Once off he began putting his casual clothes on. He was wearing a simple black shirt with black pants and black shoes. It was a simple outfit, but one that seemed to work for him, especially with his black hair. "Percy, would you like to accompany me on the deck."

Percy's face drew a wide smiled as he happily answered Alrik, "Yes Sir Alrik."

As Robert was confronted by the Dunmer he had drawn the dagger half-way out of it's sheath in his right sleeve. He quickly realised that the Ash-lander was not out to hurt him.

'Sorry I lost track of were my room is, and my thrice damned squire got himself lost.
And I was going to touch the sword but then I noticed it smelt like burnt skin, Ahh I forget myself I am Sir Robert LeBlanc.' Stated Robert in an obviously fake pompous
voice used by so many of the other Bretons whom were raised in High Rock rather than to the East of Anvil as he was.

Watching as Alrik left, Gaston nodded goddbye to the man, before standing up. "Come on, Wilfred, get your halberd. It's time to get moving." The Anticlerian knight commanded, watching as his squire awoke from what seemed to be a deep slumber. Indeed, Wilfred was deep in thought regarding this Crusade when his master called out to him; it took the boy a moment to realize what was happening, then he eagerly stood up, grabbed his halberd, put on his bascinet and fell in line behind Gaston, who had already put on his sallet and began heading towards the docks.

This ought to be interesting... Gaston allowed himself a slight smile, navigating through the bustling streets towards the stables to recover Neithen. I wonder if Wilfred realizes he's only a couple months away from his twentieth birthday, when he will be of knighting age. What a fortunate timing for the lad... No better way to prove one's self than against a worthy foe, and I won't be de Tourelle if the Ra Gada won't put up a decent fight. For the moment, his mind somewhat left the Crusade and instead focused on the knight's squire. They had been travelling together for eight years... That was enough time for them to become good friends, and for Wilfred to learn a lot. Now, the boy was handy enough with the halberd and blade for Gaston to trust him to cover the knight's back.

It took only a moment for the couple to retrieve their horses. Any other knight, Wilfred knew, would've left this work to the stableboys. However, Gaston valued his horse greatly, especially in foreign lands, where such quality horses like Wayrestians were few and far in-between. And Gaston would've never trusted some Cyrodiilian horse to carry his weight - it was a Bretic one or nothing. Fortunately for both the mount and the rider, no ill fortune had yet befallen Neithen.

Leading their horses to the docks, Gaston and Wilfred began looking for a ship to board; since they weren't Knights of the Nine, Gaston had to pay a small fee, and after that, the pair boarded the ship. As they were walking up the gangplank, from the corner of his eye Wilfred spotted the same boy from the bar. His knight must've been nearby, however the squire was already preocuppied with taking care his Rouncey didn't take a wrong step, so he couldn't pay any more attention to the Breton boy.

Ignoring the funny looks from other knights, who had left their less impressive horses for others to deal with, Gaston motioned for Wilfred to keep up, and headed down the stairs that led to, among other places, the cabbins and the lowest area of the ship where horses and other animals were kept.

Name: Kenji
Age:
Race: Cathay-Raht Khajiit

General Appearance: Kenji stands about 6ft 4 inches tall with thick, pale white fur and Azure eyes. His body is moderately toned to keep a balance between power and speed.

Weapons: Large Silver Dai-Katana with moderate fire effect enchanted in it. Silver Khajiiti Longbow and a quiver of Silver arrows, with a separate smaller quiver attached to the side for his enchanted arrows.

Armour: Adamantinum Armour with open faced helm.

Spells: Fireball, Hearth Heal, Clan Mothers touch (healing spell), Lightening Bolt, Gaze of Terror (Fear spell), Guerrillas run (fortify speed and athletics), Crusaders Fury, Telekinesis. (Many more, to many to list but those are his major ones)

Equipment: 10 lbs of dried and sweetened beef, Water Skins, Bed roll, herbs and skinning knife. All packed onto his Senche-raht friend.

Follower: Kadarj, a Massive Senche-raht 'Battle Cat' whom has stayed along his side for many years. Kadarj stands about 10ft at the shoulder and is a quadruped tiger, His fur is orange with the dark brown markings unique to the tiger with white fur on his belly, groin, inner legs and chin. Battle Cats are seldom seen outside of Elsweyr and are generally feared for their size, strength and ability. Kadarj has armour plates strapped to his more vulnerable areas on his Front legs and hind legs, a head plate and some minor body armour along his back and sides.

The crowds were parted in the city of anvil by a massive quadruped tiger and a smaller khajiit on his back, both armoured up and heading for the docks. They had arrived at Anvil the day before and had made alittle bit of a mess of some things. Lets hope we can cause more trouble than good Kenji thought as they arrived at the large warships. Both khajiit looked at the small gang plank made for horses and soldiers. A small grin came onto kadarj's muzzle Kenji almost immediately knew what was about to happen 'Dont you dare kadarj..." Kadarj looked up with a frown "Just a thought you know.. maybe squish a few knights..." the massive tiger chuckled. Slowly with balance they made their way up the gang plank and onto the ship. Such a large tiger setting the horses that were still boarding into a slight panic.

"Hmm I dont think they'd have room enough for you to.." he grinned spotting a nice spot on the vessel for them below the deck. It was where the horses were stored but in a seperate room, large enough to accomodate the battle cat comfortably for the journey. Climbing off Kadarj's back Kenji grinned "Ill be down to remove the armour plate soon. Just got to get my quarters set ok?" Kadarj nodded and made himself comfortable.

Charles walked along side the Dunmer as the Dunmer asked who he was with. He thought the Dunmer was nice, and that he was a great Knight as well.

"I'am with Sir Richard Webster of the Knights of the Nine. He is the greatest Knight in all the realm's. He has travelled many miles and has fought many beasts. He found me when I was young, and has been raising me to become a Knight ever since. I'am Squier Charles by the way.." Charles was interupted with the sound of Richard's voice looking at him.

"Charles what are you doing out here? I request your assistance with something. I think you'll like it?" Richard looked at the Dunmer with ease. He had met many a Dunmer in his travels, but most were on the other end of his blade.

"My name is Sir Richard Webster. I hope young Charles here did not bore you, sometime he can ramble on," Richard said messing with Charles hair.

"I'am hungry, and Sir... I'm sorry I dont believe I got your name?"....

Name : Elissandre

Race : Breton

Gender : female

Age : 25

Class : aristocrat in exile turned healer

Skills : Illusion, restoration, blade, speechcraft, alchemy, alteration, light armor
minor skills : some practice at sneaking, acrobatics and hand-to-hand fighting from her years of hiding. She's also a decent cook (when you can't afford preapred food, you learn to do it yourself)

Spells
Restoration : assorted healing spells (self and others), fortify stats spells, absorb health, absorb fatigue
Alteration : Ondusis's open door, Timur's hoptoad, lock, burden, first to third barriers spells
Illusion : night eye, calm humano?d, calm creature, invisibilty, silence, paralyse, demoralize
Mysticism : soultrap, soul vision, dispelling
Destruction : enough knowledge to light a campfire, electrocute a stray dog into running away or put a bit of ice in a water cup and that's about it.

Equipment :
dwemer vampire blade (dwemer shortsword, cast on strike absorb health and fatigue, not very powerfull nor many charges)
mithril armor worn with a surcoat.
Cadra signet ring : enchanted with a low-level constant restore health and fatigue effect. Not enough to alter the outcome of a combat, but handy for long travels and quick recovery.
fine linen skirt and tunic under the armor
a thin bronze chain enchanted with a low level frost or fire damage enchantment - just the thing to wrap around a glass to keep it cool or dump into into to warm it.

Several restoration potion (fatigue, health and magicka, 3 of each), one fire shield potion
Some basic alchemy equipment (apprentice mortar and pestle)
two petty, lesser and common soulgems (empty)

one horse - More of an extra large pony than a proper horse and spotting a somewhat hirsute brwon and white coat, it don't look particularly knightly, but it's a remarquably hardy and surefooted mount.
One mule to carry her supplies (camping equipment, food and water, a full blown healer's equipment, one tent, several changes of clothes)

Background : Elissandre is the daughter of the now-defunct baron of Cadra, a minor breton domain and therefore the proud heiress to a smoking ruin, since the domain was invaded by a neighboring baron, most of her family getting killed in the process.

She ran away from Highrock and ended up moving around Cyrodill, peoples being more concerned with the Oblivion crisis and it's sequels than the feuds of some minor Breton lordling. With thughs on the lord of Arsange's payroll nosing around for her, she went into hiding into less than reputable places along with less than reputable peoples. There she earned a living by selling her magical skills, improving her mastery of resotation, illusion and alteration with unguilded mages - the Mage guild didn't want anything to do with a gal of unknown parentage and equally unknwon masters.
while staying in the Imperial City's slums, she stumbled upon a Knight of the Nines fighting a bunch of Dark Brotherhood thugs. Coming to his help and patching the deadly wounds he had recieved, he pulled her in with the order, thinking a mage of her skill shouldn't be left to waste. While she didn't take well to the Knight's creed of faith and obedience, her good-natured temper and excellent healing skills kept her in.
As Occato's crusade shaped up, she decided she had to go - no because she thought forbiding any cult but the Nines was any kind of good idea, but rather hoping to moderate what could very easily end up in a bloody enough mess to make the Marukhatis proud...

Appearance : Elissandre is a rather short but good looking redhead, usually wearing fine undyed linen skirts and tunic (slightly off white). One dwemer shortsword is sheated at her belt.

Personnality : rather easygoing and with a bit of a lazy streak, Elissandre prefers calming issues or finding ways around them than open confrontation.
Despite being n a knightly order she don't believe much in the rule of law, considering that those writing down laws and good are prone to think that since they're written in the books, they don't have to keep them in their souls.

Follower : Being a healer rather than a fighter, Elissandre didn't bring a follower along. Also because she didn't fee like dragging someone along her in what might easily turn into a fool's errand, as moderating a whole crusade is easier imagined than done.

Elissandre, Anvil port

Having enjoyed Anvil's comforts for all they were worth, and in no particular hurry to sample a troopship's amenities (or lack thereof), Elissandre had emerged from her sleep a a rather late hour. As she looked at the port through her room's window, she could see the first of the ships already manoeuvering in the harbor, gettin ready to leave.

With a few selected curses, she quickly dressed, makinf sure whe was wearing her armor and surcoat. Silly knights and their obsession for uniforms. Couldn't they just have proper identification papers ? No, we have to look the part. Well, I guess a bunch of disparate-looking peoples won't do a good an impression on the populace... And I have to admit I don't look that knightly. Even with all the stuff on. Too short, too redhead, too cute... and not enough imposing, martial and all. At least my packs are ready...

As soon as she was dressed, Elissandre rushed to recover her horse and pack mule, pausing only a short while to pay her room and pick up a quick breakfast of buttered bread generously covered in honey, along with some sweet cider to wash it down, planning to eat it while moving.

Soon she reached the docks and the ready ships, moving to the gang plank and casually ignoring the soemtimes mean looks adressed by some narrow-minded knights. Well, I can't entirely blame them - a cute young gal eating some honeyed bread while mounted on a oversized pony isn't exacly an image of martial might suitable for driving fear of the Nines into heatens's hearths. Bah, their loss.

As she started on her way aboard, she noticed a rather unusual pair moving to the admiral ship's hold - a khajit and his tiger-like mount. Well, with the armor, fangs claws and all, he's easily martial enough for both his knight and me. That's a bit odd though, khajits usually have troubles adjusting to the Orders's discipline..

Making sure her horse and mule didn't panick - a fortunately easy task as neither of them were prone to panick, Elissandre moved to her own ship's hold to make sure both of her animals would be properly installed.

Robert chuckled as the Imperials squire introduced him with a near fanatic devotion

'I hope to the Gods that Our squire doesn't do that.'
'Well considering We don't even know his name...'
'Bah, poor little Bastard will not last 5 minutes in a battle.'
'So.. why'd We bring him again.'
'To keep the charade that we are actually on a "holy crusade" going.'
'Ahh yes, We forgot.'
'No We didn't You just want Us to forget it so We won't feel as bad killing Redguards.'
'Alright you caught me.'
'Well We are the person.'
'Yes that's true.'

As Robert's internal monologue rambled on he noticed that the Imperial and the Dunmer were making pleasantries

Name: Jozef Pilsudski
Age: 30
Race:Imperial

General Appearance: 6'4, 190 pounds,

Weapons: Iron lance, steel mace (enchanted to inflict minor burns on target)

Armor: Steel curris with Knights of the nine tabard, Steel greaves (enchanted with water walking) steel boots, guantlets, Knights of the nine helmet, knights of the nine sheild

Spells: a minor healing spell.

Equipment: 200 septims, 2 canteens of water, one pound of bread, one pound of venison, 6 foot long coil of rope, one fur cloak, one bed roll. A black horse named Visgoth.

Follower: Anton Bach. He carries a steel shortsword, steel sheild, and wears chainmail armour. He rides a horse named Triumph.

-----------------------

The clatter of hoofs pounding on the earth was all that Jozef could hear. He glanced over his shoulder, Anton, his squire was just behind him nearly gaining on him, and grinning gleefully. Jozef stood up in the saddle and leaned forward, urging his favorite horse onwards. He and Visgoth had been through many battles together, a mere weakling fifteen years ago, Jozef had cared for the horse from his own days as a Squire, and the two had bonded.

Then suddenly, both he and Anton slowed their horses to a trot, their breath a little quicker from their race.

"You'll have to do a little better than that my boy, if you want to win in a race."

"Enjoy your victories while you can."

Anton shot back jokingly.

Jozef smilled and just merely chuckled. The interaction between the Knight and the Squire was unusual, they where on first name terms, and enjoyed bantering. Anton didnt know it, but his father was dead, along with the rest of his family. His father had been comrades and friends with Jozef, and when Antons father was on his death bed, Jozef was the only one their, and took Anton as his Squire, per his fathers wish.

They entered the city of Anvil, and barely glanced around as they headed for the docks. The two had been into Anvil many times before, the only reason being that Jozef's manor was a mere hour away. Jozef directed Visgoth into the hold of the ship along with his squire's horse. Petting his horse on its head, he turned and left for the main ship, walking up its plank, Anton bring up the rear with his pack.

Largrath let out a faint smile, "How can you keep your humor so high, when we sail to our deaths?" He lifted up his cat, stroking its head, "Personally, I see no reason why we should fight this war. Have the rich people on top fight there own pointless battles, aye?"

'I make jokes and laugh' explained Robert, opening up to someone for the first time in years 'as I am incredibly un-selfconfident and scared at what we have to do, it's how I deal with things. Also I'm not going to be doing any dying over there, though I agree that the higher-ups should do the fighting, I mean it's their "Holy War".

'Also I'm happy as I spent a rather large amount of time in my childhood home and didn't meet with my ex-fiance.' Joked Robert.

Largrath let out a chuckle.

"Fiance eh? Never had one. Truly, I beleive each relationship isnt about the love. Just another funeral, and just another girl left in tears."

He scratched Binky's chin, "But Mr.Binky here is a good kitty! He dont go making foolish laws!" with a sigh, Largrath spoke in a rather low tone, "Truly, I am not much a fan with the Nine Divines. I am more for the Tribunal. I dont think that people should worship gods, just because they are promised they will go to a nice place. I think religion should be based on doing good things, just because it is the right thing to do!"

'I never said I loved her' laughed Robert. 'In fact I had never met her before we were engaged, By Azura I hate us Bretons. I don't follow the Divines either, well not all nine of them anyway, only Julianos and Kynareth.
Now, I know what I'm doing here but if you don't follow the Nine why are you on their "Holy Crusade"?.'

As he was talking Robert summoned a light, but long lasting Shock spell incase the Dunmer decided to flip out, as they are known to do.

"I am here, because I have no other meaning in life. My blade, Wrath." Largrath held his sheathe up, "When I found it on a plane of Oblivion, I knew it could be used for great deeds, despite how evil it was." Largrath sighed, "However, great deeds seem to be few these days. I am just here, so I can get a scoop of why we are fighting a war as foolish as this..... Keep this secret. I really plan, on killing Ocato. I just dont have enough supporters..."

He says the last part in a very low voice.
