The Akatosh Chantry
An alternate starting location for good characters!


Description

Like so many others I'm bored to death when starting a new game and having to go through the tutorial dungeon. Now there are mods that fix this by allowing you to start on a boat, in a house etc. But, I felt like I wanted a more personal/special beginning, without a long tutorial of course. So now I bring you The Akatosh Chantry, a mod which lets you start out in the remote Akatosh Chantry, a haven for worshippers of the Dragon-God of Time. In the very beginning you are initiated into this faction and there are several quests for you to do. Adjacent to the chantry lies an Imperial Legion fort and a small town. This mod is obviously meant for good characters who wishes to have a new beginning in this holy safe-haven.

Help Request

I don't need help at the moment, but later on I may need some help with scripting, quests/dialogue and voice acting.


Incompatibility

It will probably be incompatible with mods altering the easternmost Valus Mountains, the northernmost area just east of Clould Ruler and one smaller spot in the Great Forest. At the moment making it compatible with other mods is not a priority. Such matters will be handled after the initial release.

Also, if there is some specific quest or quest-type you'd like to have implanted in some way, please do tell me. Any sort of inspiration is good, as I'm trying to create a diverse set of quests! :)

What little I know about Akatosh suggests that some kind of test(s) to do with duty, obedience and worship would not be out of the question.

Some non-binary decision-based quest branchings would be nice, though trickier than most to conceive and create, I do not doubt.

Any idea how well this might integrate with Oblivifall: Losing My Religion? Seems like they might complement each other well since they both add the Akatosh Chantry, but I'm guessing there might need to be a patch to integrate the faction from your mod with Oblivifall.

How are you planning on getting the player into the main quest? Are you planning on doing some quests around the Chantry initially, and then eventually the character gets orders to go to Weynon Priory or something similar?

As for the Oblivifall mod, I am not sure how to do this yet. But I will look into it as soon as possible after I have made the initial release of this mod.

Currently I'm working on a few different ideas of how to begin the main quest. Stay tuned for updates on this one. :)
