The Aliens Explained!!!

Post » Tue Oct 05, 2010 10:51 pm

I just realized the only reason the aliens could fly
was because of the ship also there legs are completely
robotic the spikes on there backs are their tentacles
so they can't fly so they built themselves robotic legs
to walk the pink blobs inside the aliens clear suits are
the aliens.

If you dont remember the scouts flew OUTSIDE the sphere quite often.
The aliens adopted humaniod forms to best combat us humans in our enviroment, and so they can use our tools and guns etc.
apart from that, the rest is correct :)

Well yes but i think it was from the energy radiating from
the ship

Well, two things:

The aliens in Crysis 2 ALSO have ships, and dont seem to be flying around and:

In the beginning of Crysis the scouts are flying around before the ship is activated and beaming energy all over the place. I presume they had to frequently return to inside the ship to recharge
(you see some of this right before you lose gravity in Core)

This is how I understand the aliens:
They have this mothership like home, the mount. in the first Crysis, in which they are safe and can move about in their natural form, a jellyfish, jello type thingy. When they get out of the mothership, they use mech-like suits/armor/tanks, to be protected and better suited for earth. These "meches" needn't to refueld/charge because these aliens feed/generate electricity.

All that I guessed from what was told in the story of the first Crysises(is that a word?).

Indeed. The reason why the aliens don't fly about is because people didn't like fighting them in crysis 1. They may shoehorn in a reason to link the story, but the reason is for gameplay.

This part seems intriguing, in the sense of combat relations versus us. (Humans).

Just wondering, how come they're new ships don't have wings or boosters/jet like engines to fly?

We havnt seen all thier ships yet, and ther gunships could possibly fly faster then sound.
information is very sparse at the moment...

True, let's just wait for any more official information relating to them. :)

I have two explanations..

1: If you guys remember in the last part of the story, they drop a nuke on the island and the sphere increases its size.My bet is they somehow gained more energy from that and evolved rapidly and gained the humanoid form.

2: Or..as Elena Rosenthal said ,the mothership was transmitting a radio signal to a nearby star..I cant remember which star its is!......I am playing the game again so i l find out:) So the aliens could have called for more backup.
They might be transmitting the location of the planet via radio wave so more of them could join the party:)

Hey....Its a Sci-Fi game right, anything can happen.Hell, they could call the Reapers from Mass Effect for backup!!!

My theory is:

1) that making a bunch of flying soldiers takes a lot more material than a bunch of walking soldiers.

2) if the aliens are not really familiar with Earth then won't they copy 2 legs from humans who are the most successful things on Earth?

Hi Folks,
It is true that in Crysis, a signal was transmitted into space, this is seen to be the case abourd the aicraft carrier cutscene when Nomad reports to the admiral on the bridge.
There is also a more localized signal that Helena finds at the time of the following battle and she uses this to interfere with the Aliens somehow to Nomads advantage.
So it is quite possible that the Aliens did call for backup, and the alien Motherships could quite possibly have travelled the distance at light speed or warp if you like, as there is no resistance in space you only need the energy/power, to achieve such speeds without an atmosphere.
In space, no-one can hear you scream lol

i think its like this. it said in crysis 1 it said the aliends were millions of years old and they had been lying dormant, so they didnt evolve at all, and were essentially prehistoric. however, back on the alien home planet they were probably evolving and changing since the crysis 1 aliens originally fell to earth. those are what we see in crysis 2

undercoverbrother, I actually think your theory is perfect.

The aliens we saw in Crysis 1 look very different compared to what are going to fight against now. I believe those aliens have been stuck on Earth for thousands of years and like you said, haven't evolved one bit. Being stuck in the Alien ship means that everything was halted for them, so all they could do is wait for help to come.

I guess things really heated up when the North Koreans blew open the entrance, probably also when Nomad encountered the aliens as well.

I also believe that there are different kinds of alien races, but are connected to one another. In Crysis 1, we got this blue alien with futuristic tech, so these could be an ancient alien race. In Crysis 2, I believe these are the "Modern" aliens, which have amped up their tech (Hence the reason they have Pingers and those others).

We will never know the truth unless Richard Morgan has explained what kinds of aliens they are.

Or it could be a simple design change, since the aliens we dealt with in Crysis 1 were never easy to take down.

The theory is feasible, yet, its a sci-fi plot so anything can "go". And Merry Christmas ! :)

I just finished playing Crysis again. The alien mothership was transmitting signal to a galaxy 3 million light years away from earth. The name of the galaxy is M-33( Messier 33)............The Triangulum Galaxy is a spiral galaxy approximately 3 million light years from Earth in the constellation Triangulum. It is catalogued as Messier 33 or NGC 598, and is sometimes informally referred to as the Pinwheel Galaxy, a moniker it shares with Messier 101. The Triangulum Galaxy is the third-largest member of the Local Group of galaxies, which includes the Milky Way Galaxy, the Andromeda Galaxy and about 30 other smaller galaxies. It is one of the most distant permanent objects that can be viewed with the naked eye............Taken right off from WIKIPEDIA:)

What if there is a ranking system in the alien race, just like the Covenant in the Halo. The aliens in the first crysis could have been the low class recoinasance team sent to check the planet and they somewhat got stranded on Earth. Then the Koreans came opened the Pandora's Box and all hell broke out.Helena managed to overload the nasty critters, but the aliens were already S.O.S. ing to their Homeworld situated in the Messier-33(M-33) galaxy. Now:
a)It could be call for back up.
b)It could be a beacon for their higher counterparts to come and join the party.
Just my thoughts. We wont know the real reason untill the game comes out....

Halo style thinking, might be appropriate at this time... ?
