The Almighty Conjurer

Post » Tue Feb 11, 2014 6:38 pm

Sorry, I'm not all that well versed in the intricacies of Elder Scrolls magic in comparison to others on this forum. I've made mages in the past, and I'm interested in learning more about magic; It's just that I get bored of it before I can reach mastery. I've recently created a conjurer and I'm determined to master the school of conjuration this time.

My question concerns the master level conjuration spell, is it the same spell that can create thralls and bind them indefinitely, or at least until they are killed? If so, I'd also ask how many "thralls" a player can have at one time.

Thanks. Any feedback or even information about conjuration not requested in the above would be appreciated.

I just recently picked up the 'conjure fire thrall' spell on my character, so perhaps they're different for each element?

I think a strictly conjuring playthrough would be awesome. Only weapons you're allowed to use are conjured, and you have your minion too... makes me wanna start it right now :P

Spell Absorption is a big no-no for Conjurers. You'll end up absorbing your own summon spells. That's all the advice I can give you Harry, as I have yet to play a Conjurer myself.

Welcome to the forum! Not gonna give you another fishystick cause two are too much! :D

Yes, master spells are the 4 Thrall spells (Flame, Frost, Storm and Dead versions) that summon the minion permanently, until they die.

Oh and yeah, you can naturally have only one, but with the perk Twin Souls you can have two at the same time.

Do illusion and sneak, sneaking around and sending Dremora or Atronachs at enemies without being found out is hilarious.

Even though there are some things that can take out two Dremora lords (dragons, frost giants, etc), it might be the most powerful "thing" in the game.

The Reward for completeing the Conjuration Mastery Quest is the Flame Thrall Spell - Dead Thrall, Frost Thrall, and Storm Thrall must be purchased. Access to the Daedric Recipes at the Atronach Forge also become available with the Sigil Stone recieved during the Mastery Quest in Conjuration.

If You are a PC User, the USKP fixes the Absorbtion problems that plague Console Users and foolish PC Users.

I would try and get Conjuration as high as possible as quickly as possible if I play a Necromancer that will use Thralls, I can get to 90 in Conjuration by using Bound weapons and keeping a Minion summoned before Level 20. The character has twenty levels of keeping Thralls before they become difficult to replace. NPC's over level 40 can not become Dead Thralls. Draugr can not become Dead Thralls.

If You are on PC there are ways of increasing the amount of Minions available, I use the Bashed Patch from Wrye Bash to increase My characters Follower limit. There are also many Mods available for enhancing Mage Gameplay.

Thanks for the info guys. :D Really helpful. I'm going to make a sneaky negro- I mean necro-mancer!

Jek Draree (Argonian)

One-handed (sword)

Lightly armoured (Full set)

Destruction Magic (Fire)

Conjuration (Preferably undead)

Sneak

Lockpicking

You might be thinking, by the eight! (or nine, depending on religious beliefs ) that's alot of skills!, but I'm mainly focusing on my one-handed, Destruction, Conjuring and Sneaking.

Again, thanks for the help!

Dremora lords rule all unless you want a fancy atronach follower to follow you around until something kills it ;)

You can Dead Thrall some powerful NPC's but they tend to be buggy....Orchendor is a great mage follower as he's immune to most magic.

You should wear a Mage Hood instead of a helmet. It will make your character look more like a Mage, and won't cover up his beautiful appearance. ;)

Have fun!

If you have the Dragonborn DLC, there are some conjuring spells on Solsteim that you can't get anywhere else. Conjure Ash Spawn is an adept level spell that is almost as powerful as Dremora Lord & he throws fireballs, too.
