"All your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them." - Walt Disney

Background: The Amusemant Park of Cyrodiil was born four months ago on August 20 when I first came up with the idea of a park. Back then, it was a dream, a fantasy that I thought impossible. Three months later, I had four rides done, including three based of rides from Disney. My dream had become a reality after three months of hard work. I stand here after four months of hard work, and am proud to say that the park is ready to be released.
For those of you who are following this mod, remember that this is only one of two release. The second release (coming first week of April), will come later. It will include lots more stuff, including a possible rollercoaster.
Anyway, thanks to all those who contributed or supported me. And I hope you enjoy the Amusemant Park of Cyrodiil!

OBSE is REQUIRED for The Tale of Captain Redtooth! However, the rest of the park will function without it.

INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to the Amusemant Park of Cyrodiil! As the creator of the very first amusemant park in Cyrodiil, I'd like to take this time to thank you for downloading this mod.
Please read through the entire read-me or web description. Or, if you're impatient, go to the information building in game. It's located just inside the worldspace (on your right as you enter) in the Park Exterior.
If you have any questions or concerns, PM me or email me at tau434@gmail.com

Download Link: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28481

LOCATION: Just south of Anvil on the little island on the river running south of Anvil.

I.INSTALL

Put the esp. in your Oblivion data folder.

Put the meshes, sound, and textures where they belong

II.RIDE DESCRIPTIONS AND BASIC OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

Attention Parkgoers! All rides close at 10 P.M. and open at 10 A.M. All shops (excluding the restaurant, 10 A.M., and inns) open at 8 A.M.)

TALE OF CAPTAIN REDTOOTH: A ride inspired by Disney's The Pirates of the Carribean. When you enter, follow the tunnel until you reach the end. Turn right and head down to the little wooden rowboat. Activate to use.
Note: You will have to control the rowboat yourself. That means using the movement keys to move forward, turn, and go backwards.

HAUNTED MANSION OF SKINGRAD: A ride inspired by Disney's The Haunted Mansion. This one is also a discreet reference to the famous "Nerastarel's House" in Skingrad. Simply talk to the guide just inside the mansion as you enter. Ask him for a tour. He'll take you on a tour of the mansion. Make sure to keep close to him at all times.

DAEDRIC FREEFALL TOWER: A ride suggested by FearRabbit, a forum goer on Bethesda Softworks. In this ride, you enter and are teleported to the top of a small Oblivion tower. From here, simply jump off the top level and freefall to the bottom. Don't worry, you WON'T DIE from the fall. Read the RIDE PROBLEMS section for more details.

THE REVENGE OF THE LICH KING: A ride inspired by Disney's Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. In this you must traverse the ruin until you come to the room with two horses, yellow lighting, and a staffmember standing in the middle. (It has a bunch of furniture all over the place) Talk to the staffmember, who will let you on the ride. For this, a horse and cart will do all the work for you; just sit back and relax!

MINILAND: Walk around and examine the dioramas made by my own brother.

PETTING ZOO: Walk around and examine the animals. There are three chicks, two pigs, a calf, and a sheep. But do try not to let them out.

ASSORTED CARNIVAL GAMES: There are several carnival games you can play. Talk to the attending staffmember for a full description. If you need any help, just PM me or email me and I'll try to help or clarify. Note that the vendors will only talk to you if you have enough money.

III.RIDE PROBLEMS: (Hey, just like real ones, these rides do have occasional problems).

Haunted Mansion of Skingrad:

1.There are certain parts in the ride when a disembodied voice will speak to you. When this happens, DO NOT pull up your inventory, any message boxes, or the wait button. It will cut off the sound.

Tale of Captain Redtooth:

1.The non-existent collision on the boat makes for some trouble. After traveling in the boat for several minutes, you'll start to notice that the boat tries to fly out of the cell. When this happens, simply stand up, then sit back down again. Alternatively, you can try to remember to stop before you turn in any direction.

2.The same sound problem happens here. When the music comes on, don't pull up your inventory, press the wait button, or bring up any message boxes. It cuts off the song.

The Revenge of the Lich King

1. There seems to be a problem with the ride that leads to a cart that sometimes tips to either side. Don't worry, it doesn't affect anything, but it may lead to annoying wall clippings.

2.Same sound problem as Redtooth and Mansion. Don't bring up inventories, message boxes, or wait buttons when the music starts.

3. Try not to walk through the ride. It messes up certain stuff. It's not anything major, but it can get annoying.

4. Finally, this has only happened once, but I died when I got out of the cart. Nothing I can do to explain it. However, the game autosaves right before you board the ride, so you don't need to worry about losing anything.

Daedric Freefall Tower:

1. Only one, but significant problem here. The ride is meant so that you jump right from the top to the bottom. However, I haven't placed collision boxes all over the lower levels so a player can descend and then jump off from a lower point. Be warned though; should you jump off multiple times from different points, you may end up confusing the system I have set up and dying from the fall. However, if you accidentely jump onto a far down ledge, you won't die.

The best way to avoid this is to save before trying multiple jumps.

Anyway, there you go. Only the Daedric Freefall Tower and the Pirates have serious problems. The rest are either easily avoided or simply annoying.

IV. SHOPS, RESTAURANTS, ETC.

THE HUNGRY MINOTAUR RESTAURANT:

Here's a quick walkthrough on how to correctly dine in this fine establishment:

1.When you enter, talk to the Greeter on your left. Your table is the one underneath the deer's head.

2.Sit down on one of chairs next to your table. Or you can stand, if you prefer.

3.Look at the menu. This is EXTREMELY important, so pay attention carefully. You must read the menu (meaning activate it) for the process to continue. And you CANNOT lose this menu!!! And pay close attention to those prices, cuz just like a real restaurant, you can't take it back once you've ordered.

4.Once you've exited the menu (forgive the pun), watch as one of the waiters walks towards your table.

5.You must talk to the waiter; he won't initiate the conversation. Tell him what you want. You must choose a main course, drink, and dessert. (No skipping).

6.Once you're done, watch as the waiter descends to the basemant and prepares your food. It will take about an hour (game time) for him to come back up, so either use the wait button or just sit back and relax.

7.When the waiter comes back up and walk to your table, you again need to talk to him. He'll give you your food and then ask you to pay. Pay him. If you don't have the money, oh well, you get a 1000 gold bounty on your head.

8.To restart the meal, walk back outside and then reenter the premises.

If you follow these rules carefully, you should be fine.

GENERAL STORE, SMITH, AND MAGIC STORE:

Located outside in the Park Exterior, all three act like normal shops. They close at 8 o'clock. (PM)

GIFT SHOP: Located just inside the park entrance, the gift shop sells a variety of little gifts and souvenirs. Simply treat it like a normal store. Closes at 8 o'clock. (PM)

INFORMATION BUILDING: If you are ever lost, go here and ask the woman behind the counter for information. She'll give you a paper that repeats what's in this readme.

THE TINY MOUSE AND AMUsemanT PARK OF CYRODIIL HOTEL:

Act like normal inns. The Tiny Mouse costs 10 gold. The hotel costs 30.

V. GLITCHES AND PROBLEMS

1. Sometimes the weather doesn't change outright when you enter the park. Just wait a while and it will change.

2. Some of the voice acting is a little off. Sorry about that.

Hey! Good work getting to release. I'll take a look at this eventually. The free-fall tower sounds like a fun idea! Although personally I look forward to the working roller coaster later on.

One small thing: It'd be good to name your file something other than "The_Mod." Makes it harder to keep track of in my file system here at home.

Okay, so I've got a few complaints about the number of rides and the silencer amulet. Allow me to clarify.

This is only one of two releases. The second will have three or four more rides, as well as more shops, restaurants, and shows.

Also, you're not suppose to be able to take off the amulet. it's there so you don't take in a 50000 fire damage target spell to pwn some minotaurs. The Labyrinth, as you might have guess, is based off the mythical Labyrinth of the Minotaur on Crete. You're suppose to be unarmed, unprepared, and scared. That's why I temporarily hold on to your inventory and silence you; so you can feel what the real maze would feel like.

Finally, should you beat the Labyrinth, you should know that there are three different, random locations where the orb can appear. You won't know which one, and the maze is vast, so you'll be in there quite a while. Also, the minotaurs can wander far and wide. So be VERY CAREFUL!

Sorry to hear about that Dudish, hope your feeling better.

Anyway, just wanted to thank everyone and inform you all that I tested the lock systems again, and they work fine, contrary to what I said before.

Just a heads up guys. I've gotten a few questions on why the Haunted Mansion is so short and all that not scary. Well, I do my best to replicate the real ride. As you all know, the Haunted Mansion is not that scary, so naturally mine will not be either. The only thing that might scare you are some sudden noises. In addition, the buggy ride is short, because most of the ride takes part in the elevator and in the hall with the changing paintings. In my version, the majority of the attraction takes place in the mansion tour and the elevator ride.

Ooo...easter egg time! There is one little flaw in the dialogue spoken by the tour guide. It's not a techinical thing, it's an actual word.

Can you spot the incongruity between what the tour guide says and what the "Ghost Host" says?

Okay, so here we go

Thanks to everyone who's commented or downloaded so far. I really appreciate it.

A few days have passed, and I think I'm ready to start planning for phase 2/second release.

Here's what I have down for rides so far.

Famous Battles of Cyrodiil Ride: A boat ride that takes you past, yep, dioramas of famous battles of Cyrodiil. There's also a cafe overlooking part of the ride, so...for the first time you can dine in the middle of a ride.

The Rollercoaster: Yet to be given a name. However, it will be a decent sized coaster that uses both the horse cart (with a few tweaks that I explained in the WIP thread.

Here's what I need...ride suggestions. Keeping in mind what I've told you about ride limitations, could anyone please suggest a ride or rides that could be included in the park?

For those of you who don't know the limitations:

1. Ferris Wheels won't work. Nor will any circular motion ride.

2. Airships are kinda nice, but you can't see anything for 10000 feet in the air.

3. Bumper cars aren't going to work.

If you keep those in mind; fire away!

Well, so far so good. I've had some very good feedback on the mod. A few complaints here and there, but mostly good.

Uh...I had time today to work a little on the rollecoaster. Already, I see some problems. The first is making it so the coaster goes in a circle. The second is simply making the coaster work correctly. (I'm having some trouble. But don't think that this ride is going to fail. It's just some temporary problems). I never said it was going to be easy.

Anyway, please, feel free to suggest more rides for the park!

Huge Update today!

The rollercoaster is a huge *bleepin* success! The invisible horse worked better than I could have ever dreamed; the only way you know it's there is if you run right into it before getting on the ride. (And even then, you'd think it was an invisible block!"

THAT MEANS: FOR THE FIRST TIME IN CYRODIILIC HISTORY, WE HAVE A WORKING ROLLERCOASTER!!! Hooray!

The coaster itself, I admit, is not terribly long. However, you can ride it multiple times, so...yeah...fun!

The only thing left to test on the coaster is the varying speeds to mimick drops and climbs. Once that's done, it will be home free.

Oh, the only problem is that the coaster has to be in a seperate worldspace. So, there will be one world for the rest of the second release, and another world for the coaster.

Anyway, thanks for reading!

Actually, since the deity of the park is Stendarr, my planned name is the Revenge of Stendarr. But, as that seems all to familiar to Revenge of the Lich King, the name may change.

The coaster now has towering supports and walls surrounding it. It's also got a little lake in the middle. I'll post some pics of the coaster so far tonight.

In further news, I have a tentative ok on the Famous Battles Ride. However, no guarantee that it will happen.

Finally, be on the lookout for the creators of the park (my brother and I) in game.

Uh...sorry guys. I couldn't get around to the pics last night. First of all, stupid rollercoaster had some major glitches that needed to be fixed. Also, I had a lot to do last night.

Anyway, I'm back, and I'm proud to announce a new idea for the rollercoaster: Escape the Castle. In this idea, you will board the ride like normal, but instead of going up a hill, you'll travel into a large castle. In this castle, you will pass by scenes of daily castle life. There's the Great Hall, a Dining Area, and the Throne Room. However, in each scene, you'll see something is wrong. There's always a Dark Brotherhood assassin hiding in every room. Finally, in the middle of the ride, you find out why. A group of DB assassin have infiltrated the castle, and are plotting to take down the king and queen. They'll excecute their plan near the end of the castle, where'll you'll the king make a valiant last stand.

You then exit the castle and find yourself on the rollercoaster itself. Think of the ride as a hybrid rollercoaster/theme ride. So far, I've had pretty good luck at executing it.

Oh, and from now on, I'll be reverting the old WIP thread. Check for updates there.

Hey guys, I've gotten two or three complaints on the Haunted Mansion. People are telling me it's too empty. Well, let me put it this way: If I were to add more NPCs or decorations, the game would ctd every time. Im not joking. The problem lies in the fact that there are too many books in the library. However, without the books, the library would look empty. So I opted to sacrifice NPCs for books.

Anyway, progress has started up on this again, because London can become really boring if u work on it too long. :)

DL'd and played
Overall I think it's great. All of the rides work, no bugs. This was the kind of thing where I was just walking aound and waiting for it to break. It didn't
Haunted Mansion was great, nice little twist, better than I expected
On the pirate boat ride I think the boat was a little slow, apart from that all good especially with the huge battle scene you ride through
Lich King was awesome, no idea how you made that but I'd say it was the most impressive thing in the park
Daedric Freefall tower was pretty cool, I think it'd be better if you could stand in the prisoner cage that's overhead and then it automatically drops you out though
I couldn't figure out the maze, no idea what I'm supposed to do without weapons, armor or magic

Very impressive. My only major complaint though is the lack of NPCs. Most of the time it felt like this was my own personal theme park. There were more staff than visitors. I really hope you add more in future versions

Misaxshi: Surprisingly, I don't want you to figure out the maze by yourself. It's supposed to force you to think critically. Though I will admit, maybe I made it a little too confusing. In the maze, you're trying to find a little green orb that will teleport you out. However, you must get past two or three minotaurs who guard teh labyrinth.

Let me give you a little advice. The starting area with all the barrels and ingreidents are there for a reason. All of them have night eye or light effects. Another major hint: Look behind the crates to your right as you enter the maze. You will find a mortar and pestle. Use this to make light and night-eye potions.

Finally, the food the gamesmaster gave you has night-eye effects on the first spot. That means even beginning alchemists can make potions.

As for the minotaurs: the trick is not to engage them. You must remember that the only weakness of the minotaur is its sneak skill. If the situation is do-or-die, use the Hydra's Venom on the arrows I gave you and hit one of the minotaurs with it. The minotaur will be knocked out for seven seconds.

As for you NPC complaint, I'm sorry to say that you are looking at the max number of NPCs that can be one area. Anymore would cause slow computers to freeze or ctd.

The good news is that the second area of the park will add more NPCs and rides, so you can pretend combine them to make one big park. :)
