Am I the only one around here who missed the arena?

Guys seriously arena back in Oblivion was really fun.
(hoping Developers reading this) Would you like to have a DLC with an arena

The idea is after destruction of helgen some rich smart man bought the area and reformed helgen as an arena.

There is an Arena in Skyrim, but was cut out. There is still a lot of code for it. I think it would be pretty cool. Maybe a minor addition to a small DLC?

Yes, it exists in the game in Windhelm. It's horribly broken though.

I am slowly working on a mod to bring it back. I know there's a cool gladiator style mod around too which allows you to visit the Windhelm arena (among many other locations too). The original arena was originally part of the Dark Brotherhood questline at some point in the game, but got cut for various reasons.

Yes. There were a couple of threads on this around 2 weeks ago. There is also a video on YT where mods got the Arena up and running.

The chances of it being made into an official DLC are pretty slim.

Yes, there is. It's there in Windhelm, but you can't access it.

Yup. Unfinished. Can't access normally on console. Or at least no way that's been discovered.

Yes, it probably below Windhelm. If that makes sense. There probably a set of stairs or a ladder to go there. Maybe they covered it up.

Next door to the Palace of the Kings. There's a large area which is walled off outside in the wilderness but isn't accessible from the city. The city's dungeons are named the Bloodworks internally.

And you know that rather pointless little path from the Palace of the Kings that leads near the Arentino residence? That's probably where the original entrance was planned, as it matches right up with a large door in the Arena.

That's what happens when the marketing department comes up with a lame release date. The whole 11/11/11 release date should have never happened. It was a stupid marketing ploy.

I can't wait to see how the DLC will be like for the PS3 when it releases. It will be interesting, that's for sure.
