The Arrivals interest thread

I've been making a rough draft of OP for an RP idea I have.

THE ARRIVALS

A cargo ship hauling an array of products, along with some IRA weapons hidden in barrels, left port one day before the Great War. During their voyage across the Atlantic Ocean, the Great War tore at the Earth, fueled by the greed of fueding countries. As the skies grew dark, all means of communication were lost. Species on land were not the only ones to suffer the consiquences, marine life also recieved a massive loss. As the waters of the Atlantic warmed from nuclear heat, the deceased marine life, both plant and animal, began to surface top side. The ensuing clutter of death played hell with the ships already straining mechanics, causing it to overheat and cieze up the massive nuclear powered engine.

The S.S. "enter name" drift hopelessly, the waves slowly inching the ship where they desired. On the seventh day a rumble of thunder brought with it the Black Rain. Radioactive precipitation fell from the nuclear clouds high above, covering the ships deck, crew, and land in a sea of black. There was no escape for the crew of the S.S. "enter name" as the black droplets of death crept through the crevices of the ship, making it's way down the hull. Radiation sickness run rampant, the entire crew of strong seamen were brought to their knees, weak and feeble.

One week later, the Black Rain stopped, the clouds broke to reveal the sun. The angry ball of flame cast down on them like a giant heat lamp, worsening the situation. The crews skin began to wither, their endless vomiting coming to an halt. The stench of the surrounding death and rotting marine corpses no longer were putrid to them. Neither was their own dying flesh, the crew looked like something from a horror flic.

The ship will end up beached in the shallow waters by a town, I need to figure out which one. Then, the people in the town who survived, will have to chose. Will they coexist? Will they fight them? Who knows??? Lol, it won't be just on the ship.

I figure we could start a day/week, whatever before D-Day. Being a coastal town, Vault-Tec can't put an elaborate "cave" system there. So the townsfolk have to handle the situation accordingly

If decided upon, after the initial "meeting" we could have a time skip. But the idea is there if there is interest. Players would quite obviously be either a human or ghoul. Both sides would be able to write how they dealt/deal with the Black Rain. Then the townsfolk would have to react to a ship drifting in, unsure of who or what are on board.

Give me your thoughts, I figured I'd toss it out here for the public to decide if I should continue playing with it or not.

Thanks :)

Believe me when I say, the OP would/will be FAR more detailed than this. I got bored and decided to type it on my phone one day last week. I want to study the East U.S. Coast to find a small ocean side city. I don't want it to be a huge town or anything lol.
