[Relz] The Arsenal V2

Post » Mon Apr 18, 2011 1:27 am

I thought BSA's used the first part of an ESP name?, IE if the BSA is labeled The Arsenal and user has The Arsenal - LL.ESP, it should load right?

Looks like I'll be dropping the BSA in the next version/Update.

This is common for mods that have bsa and esm and have esp that do not touch worldspace or place objects in worldspace.

Since the Arsenal comes a esm, and the leveledlist can get merged with bash. This will prevent the bsa from loading correctly because the LL esp itself does not make any changes to world space and ends up getting merged in bash patch.

While the store does because it make changes to worldspace which allow the bsa to load correctly.

So renaming the bsa to Bash Patched - The Arsenal.bsa should fix the problem if just using the esm and the LL.esp..

Here is a confirmation http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/6330/thearsenal.png in TES4EDIT of the method (2) using a blank ESP renamed to "The Arsenal.esp".

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried the Arsenal and WEPON mods together? I'm curious as to whether they conflict.

Well, it sounds like just renaming "The Arsenal - Leveled lists.esp" to "The Arsenal.esp" should solve my problem, so I'll go with that. :tops:

From the OP:I don't believe they are relevelling anything or deleting anything from the vanilla lists, so why would they need these tags? Adding unnecessary Bash tags is a good way to screw things up.

Edit: Forgot to mention, great looking work. This stuff makes me feel like playing again.

Vacuity - thanks for the clarifications - Didn't really know what those bashed tags meant, just that I've seen them connected to LLs, so asked to clarify.

It's been out for a little while now, so is there any feedback on the weapons or the way they are distributed ingame so far? :ninja:

I can tell you that using the leveled lists plugin, I still have only ever seen those Nordic Axes.

This is with a new character level 1-4 and also a level 30-something character. However, since I remember it being said that they were balanced in the midrange, maybe it's only after level 10 that they will be seen?

I doubt your level 30 character will see any of the weapons, but your level 4 character should be running into some by now. You are using it alongside other mods that add weapons to the leveled lists?

I haven't encoutered anyone of these weapons til now. Maybe because of the high level (31) of my character, also I'm using MMM + OOO + ArmamentariumArtifacts (a lot of concurrence here). It would be interesting if we can get these weapons in Tamriel Travelers as it is the case of armamentarium.

Yes, I am using it alongside OOO and Crossbows of Cyrodiil. Maybe the fact that OOO introduces some new leveled lists instead of modifying vanilla ones is an issue? I'm never had a problem with COC; it seems to work perfectly. I'm not sure how the plugin works or how you have it setup, but I assumed there were some sort of scripts in place that added to existing leveled lists like with COC. Maybe I'm just not being persistent enough. Should I see these weapons in loot as well as actors?

Are you using Wrye Bash to merge the leveled lists? We don't use scripts to add the weapons, so Wrye is really needed for this when using OOO.

StarX, hell no! I had no idea Wrye Bash would be required. I even looked for info about that in the readme. It makes perfect sense now that I wouldn't be seeing anything.

Thanks for the info.

No problem, it isn't in the readme, but I added it to the main post when I saw we had forgotten that. It will be added to the readme in the future. :foodndrink:

Should work fine with TamrielTravellers if you are using the ItemsNpc.esp once again from TT..Has Arsenal Leveledlist add it weapons and to LLONpc list and that is what Itemnpc.esp uses..

But most of them are low lvl once again most below lvl 10 once again..

But if you are using OOO/Armamentarium/artifacts and Item Interchange you will see less of the arsenal weapons because Item Iterchange directly adds arma items to Tamriel Travellers.

And also the fact that Arsenal LL are not in balance with OOO Leveledlist once again (give me a few minutes and I will fix that ) with a The Arsenal for OOO.esp..

Here you go StarX and InsantiySorrow

http://www.4shared.com/file/1KkuyZ9V/The_Arsenal_-_Leveled_Lists_fo.html patch

Requires OOO 1.33 or Higher (1.34beta5 recommended)

Relev Arsenal Weapons to work with OOO leveledlist and show up at correct lvl following OOO scheme.

So will not break OOO itself and items will show up correctly has well.

example : aka combat knife that where at lvl 2 are now at lvl 4 or 5, Weapons at lvl 5 (Silver ) are now lvl 10 or Higher before they show up ..etc..

This should work with FCOM has well.

enjoy

load order

Great, thanks a lot mate! :foodndrink:

I'm getting missing WTF meshes for Arsenal items - I am using the Arsenal LL esp (not the shop and the Faregyl patch as I don't want that) and the Arsenal esm with the bsa. I renamed the bsa as Bashed Patch - The Arsenal.bas as suggested by corepc earlier, but that hasn't helped. What is the correct way to get those items meshes in game?

Is there a better way to do this, StarX and IS? Also, with the new file that corepc posted, what is the install order for someone only using the Arsenal LL esp.

Please update the readme and OP to clarify. Thanks! :)

Nice one Core :tops:! This needs BOSS registering (just check Google code and not there, so I'll post it in their thread)

That doesn't work if you're using Bash and ghosting as it will be merged, deactivated and ghosted so Oblivion won't see it. Have you tried the SArchive list registering. You could rename to A.bsa to save character space

Thank you Corepc :)

There seems to be a few issues here, mainly the BSA :lmao:, I'll try and get an update prepped within the next couple days to fix these problems, the mod will be going BSA-Less I think and I'll make sure the ReadMe has all the info needed.

Edit:

@anithinks - If you are only using the leveled lists then you only need The Arsenal.ESM and The Arsenal - Leveled Lists.esp, along with the BSA.

Ohh, good point. Well, that can be taken care of. I assume there's no problem for anyone with me adding these to the Travellers' lists too? (Which reminds me, I should go and talk lists with Core and Haama again sometime soon... :read: )

Anyway. That gives me an excuse (did I really need one?) to download this, and should I ever get around to playing, even try it out.
