Installation

1. Extract this archive to any folder and then copy the following to your Oblivion Data Folder

  • Meshes
  • Textures
  • The Arsenal.esm

Now depending on what type of install you want there are a few different options:

  • The Arsenal.esp - This adds a shop into the game where you can purchase weapons on offer
  • The Arsenal - Leveled Lists.esp - This adds the weapons to the vanilla leveled lists (Only requires the ESM)
  • The Arsenal - Faregyl Patch.esp - If you use Arthmoor's Faregyl Village and The Arsenal.esp then you will also need this patch (Only Required IF you use the Village and the Shop)
  • The Arsenal - Leveled Lists for OOO.esp - This is an optional ESP for those who use OOO, this will add the weapons to OOO's leveled lists. (If you use OOO, use this instead of The Arsenal - Leveled Lists.esp)

These are optional files, but you will need at least one main ESPs if you want to have the weapons in-game. Also you do NOT need both the shop and Leveled lists together, they can be used together or seperately.

2. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, and enable the The Arsenal.esm and any of the additional ESPs you have chosen for your setup.

Un-Installation

1.Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, and disable the The Arsenal.esm and then disable any other of The Arsenal's plugins you have installed.

2. Remove the following files from your Oblivion Data Folder

  • Remove the Arsenal folders found in your Meshes and Textures folders. You will find them under Weapons, Clutter and in your Menus/Icons folder.
  • Remove The Arsenal.esm

After removing The Arsenal.esm remove any of The Arsenal plugins you have installed alongside the ESM

Incompatibilties

As of The Arsenal Version 3.0 there should be no Incompatibilties with other mods, please report any you may find.

Patches

Due to the placement of Woodling's shop there is a small patch needed when you play Oblivion with Arthmoor's Faregyl Village.

Along with the patch you will have to make sure Faregyl Village loads after The Arsenal to ensure they play nice, load the patch after both of those.

Load Order:

  • The Arsenal.esp
  • Faregyl.esp
  • The Arsenal - Faregyl Patch.esp

Also an ESP for OOO is also included for those who use OOO and would like to see the weapons appear in those leveled lists.

Load Order:

  • OOO.esm
  • The Arsenal.esm
  • OOO.esp
  • The Arsenal Leveledlist for OOO.esp

Upgrading

Before installing version 3.0 of The Arsenal you will need to uninstall version 1.0. To make sure everything is uninstalled remove the following folders and their contents and files from your data folder:

Files:

Thanks for the update! Downloading as we speak. :)

Do you have a list of which weapons/shields that are added in 3.0?

BTW, I just noticed that I've been running The Arsenal - Leveled Lists.esp instead of The Arsenal - Leveled Lists for OOO.esp in my FCOM set up - which propably explains why I haven't happened upon i single Arsenal item. And I've really looked forward to see these beautiful weapons/shields used by NPCs, so thanks for making leveled list plugins. Will switch to the correct esp when updating.

EDIT 2: Oh, The Arsenal 2.0 didn't have a The Arsenal - Leveled Lists for OOO.esp variant it seems. So I wasn't THAT stupid after all. :)

EDIT 3: The package isn't BAIN-friendly as set up. It's not a must of course but as many are using BAIN (at least I think so - perhaps you get myopic being on these forums) it's much more convenient for them if the archive is BAIN-friendly as they have to redo it before installing it otherwise. I'd gladly help out if you'd like - but I haven't looked into BAIN wizards and that would be neat to have as well (but not needed really as it's a rather simple setup).

Just a tiny "issue" - for those using the IP Board forum skin (as I generally do, for example) the download link is invisible, or nearly so. I only found it by searching the page for "download". :)

So, if you felt like changing the colour, even just a bit, it might help some folks out there.

Anyway, really looking forward to trying this one out. Been an Arsenal fan for a while now. :foodndrink:

It was CorePC that made the OOO plugin :D, It was added in v2.1 IIRC.

I don't use BAIN, OBMM is perfectly fine for me, that's why it's set up like it is :lmao:, I'm guessing I'd need to make a seperate BAIN ready archive as the current one is installed using a script

Anyway, really looking forward to trying this one out. Been an Arsenal fan for a while now. :foodndrink:

Thanks and yeah I'll change the colour of the link.

From now on we'll be taking a different approach to making weapons as we'll be making sets and uniques. All the new items will include an Ambient Oclusion map and have high res textures (most of the items in V3 have hi-res textures as well!).

A few pics of the V3 weapons and shields (sorry not the fancy old promo screens!):

Right. I thought I'd seen it before. Nevermind, using it now anyway...

Yes, the omod script would have to be tweaked as the folder set up would have to be changed. Don't think I'm the right man for the position as I'm not an expert on BAIN (for instance, I would like the folders in the Docs folder to stay put after install, but they won't). Anyway, I'm pretty sure someone would gladly help out with setting it up to be both BAIN and OBMM friendly.

Ah, looking better and better! Since it's not massive like Armamentarium this will definitely be one of the first mods I install when I initiate "PHASE TWO": Add a whole bunch of new [censored] to my so-far vanilla game. Hooray for leveled lists. You would have crushed my heart had these only shown up in a chest or at a vendor somewhere. I'm here to ADVENTURE!

Well it's not that big as there are NO vanilla items used at all, so they're new models and textures, takes longer to make them so we don't have as much content atm. In v1 they were only in the newly added shop that DarkRider made for us, but it was a popular reuqest for the lists, so they got added in v2 :D

I actually use the leveled lists plugin myself as I love finding new stuff while clearing out dungeons.

@Arkngt - It's a possiblilty for the future, but for now I'll not be updating with a new BAIN ready package as I'd rather not have to make people re DL the 155MB file just for that.

Yeah, I'm just afraid if I install something huge like Armamentarium with its every-vanilla-armor-in-every-possible-color collection first, I'll never come across the cool and unique items added by mods like The Arsenal. So if you look at the list in my items thread I'm planning on installing the smaller things first leading up to Armamentarium. Some may call me silly for playing just vanilla items for so long, but I'm just expanding what's in my game at my own pace, and it's pretty fun. A few more levels and hopefully I'll be seeing your swords in chests soon.

It really does frustrate me though when I come across some really nice work, unique items, and when I read the description it just tells you where to go to pick them up without any mention of leveled lists. Maybe it's about time I learn how to take those resources and integrate them myself, eh?

There are a bunch of errors in The Arsenal OOO Leveled List. ESP when loaded with TES4Edit:

[0200519C]
....
etc

(even I have load both OOO esm and ESP)

The last time I remember when I uninsttalled The Arsenal 2.0 from my game my savegames where bloated with 100+ NULL REF.

Yes, The Arsenal - Leveled Lists for OOO.esp in 3.0 doesn't seem to work at all - it either has those errors, doesn't actually change the leveled list entry or has oddities like [REFR:01000ED3] (places ARBlueAmb400 [LIGH:00015FF0] in GRUP Cell Temporary Children of zOOOBarastas "Barastas" [CELL:01000D61]) in a leveled item list.

The OOO plugin for V3 wasn't changed, so it shouldn't be giving any errors.

And yet it does. Can't compare with the v2.1 version as I don't have it - but if it wasn't changed, perhaps it was broken in 2.1 as well? Just check it in TES4Edit. It's basically completely messed up for some reason or another - not an expert, though, so can only report what TES4Edit says.
