The Art of Fallout 4

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 9:10 am

That's the overpriced bundle. you can get the art book from http://www.amazon.ca/Art-Fallout-4-Bethesda-Softworks/dp/1616559802/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1446054569&sr=8-1&keywords=fallout+4+art+book for $46. Amazon in the US has it for $28, but after currency conversion and international shipping, you may not save anything.

Edit: Thought you said $122 US. Nevermind.

I thought it might have been some kind of gamesas store exclusive or something. I ordered hardcover guide from Amazon.ca for a great price... Thanks for the link!

Want.

Shishkebab: "Keep face and hair clear of apparatus."

House of Tomorrow: "Nuclear radiant heat flooring inside & out!"

Heavy raider armor: reminds me of reavers from Firefly... would not like to engage in close quarters.

Yeah, with THREE versions of the strategy guide, and TWO versions of the art book, the whole thing is rather frustrating and unnecessary, and it's a bit much to figure out which version to get, and to figure out which version is exclusive or not.

There is a store-exclusive version of the art book (including a lithograph, slipcover and 16 extra pages :(), but unfortunately it's overpriced (especially given the exchange rate) and the shipping costs too much as you've discovered - I don't even know how you got $22, it was a lot more when I tried to check out

Not to mention the huge risk (in my opinion) of how they're going to ship it. I've read a few things about the shipping in the store sub-forums, and I'm not at all convinced they'd ship it in a way that would adequately protect it.

I'm really loving the shishkebab, and the more orcish feel of the super mutants.

The Glowing Sea and only a devastated place and full of radiation?
Not have random radiation storms in the world? :(

He's said, radiation storms from the Glowing Sea can blow across the wasteland. So I imagine the Glowing Sea is the most apocalyptic region on the map, comparable to the Capital Wasteland on steroids or the Divide, but radiation storms can still spread out and happen in most other places.

I just used the quote option and banged in my postal code. I'm sure it varies by location and proximity to populated areas?

Regardless, I think I'll be going the Amazon.ca route. Thanks again!

Glad we have a confirmation on the Glowing Sea haha though the speculations were fun, this makes sense and falls inline with images we had seen of it prior to this. I agree with what someone else said about pipe only being one "base" weapon and all the variations that come from that are just that, variations. Handmade could be something we create at the workbench? Either way, we've already seen more than those two weapon types for firearms so we know there will be substantially more. Pretty excited seeing all those possible mods for weapons. I think that's one of the things I'm most excited for about 4. It just makes sense to me that post apocalyptic wasteland would mean people are modding their weapons more and really personaling them to fit themselves. I'll likely stick a surpressor on everything I can lol

I agree that there is a huge amount of variety in the weapons we've seen here, and no doubt there will be a ton more. This is way beyond anything I was expecting! As for the Glowing Sea, in spite of my speculation being way off, I can't wait to go exploring there. It looks truly awesome :)

Yeah I was kind of shocked at how much is actually there in terms of customization. Now a lot of that will really only be for looks (how many different attributes can 20 stocks/grips have) but I'm ok with that. Just adds more personalization to the whole thing. I'm for sure gonna create some weird guns

I love the gruff look to the wastelanders and Commonwealth citizens. It looks so awesome. Tinker Tom looks to have some sweet ass headgear.

Maybe I'm missing something, but with the new power armor it looks like a weak spot would be in the shin area ...or possibly the knees.

I don't think TT is a companion, but he does look like he runs a workshop of some sort. I'm thinking that he may give us some scavenger-type quests, possibly resulting in some unique items or schematics as a reward.

That's one speculation I can get behind... as it would quite weird to single out an npc and then have them be nothing but background noise.

I'm just amazed by the level of detail we're seeing here. And what you said earlier about the look of the other wasteland residents as well, very impressive. Can't wait until launch!
