I know this might be considered a peculiar request and it might have absolutely no roots within Elder Scrolls lore, but I'd like to get as much information about the artists and painters of Nirn as possible. I'm not particularly too keen on art and how it's made, so you'll need to excuse me if any artistic jargon is beyond my comprehension.

Basically I'd like to know if there are any reoccurring painters or otherwise famous painters known in the plane Nirn. Are there any mentions in books or people about the names or meanings of paintings or there creators? If so, is there a painting in-game (hopefully in Oblivion) that I can look for in order to get a sense of the painter's personality and their meaning behind the painting? How do you think the paintings in Oblivion were done? Any information about art or painters in general would be beneficial. Thanks in advance.

In Anvil there's a lady on the docks painting a pic of the lighthouse. And in Cheydinhaal and Chorel , there are quests involving paintings.

Modryn Oreyn does some paintings. He's the head quest giver in the Oblivion fighter's guild questline. If you finish his quests you get to see some of his masterpieces, some of the best in all of Tamriel.
