The Artificer's Puzzle [OOC Thread 2]

Post » Mon Aug 08, 2011 8:01 pm

We actually went over 200 posts in the last one, so I'm sure it will be closed as soon as a moderator sees it. Let's go on from here, then. Except...leave the previous discussion there and just move on.

I think I've got somewhat of a plan for how Galvon leaves for the days I'm (probably) not going to be on. Hopefully we can get to a point where Galvon can say a quick goodby to everyone before leaving for Leyawiin and later the Imperial City. If not, I at least want him to say a farewell to Mizar after telling him about what had just happened before setting off on the road. For the RP's sake, I ask that even if it might not normally be in-character that everyone try not follow him or hold him back. I hate having to be gone from this, but life is life. Hope this makes at least some sense.

Should Darrshan have a healing potion? I left the gear in his pack pretty vague in case I forgot something that would be obvious for him to have as an adventurer (such as healing and magicka potions)... but I'm also afraid of it coming across as though I'm pulling stuff out of his ass.

On that note, I'll try and stock his pack with an assortment of random scrolls, and a handful of useful potions as well, including healing and magicka potions... something you would expect to find in your Oblivion or Morrowind character's pack after looting a few dungeons and after selling off the heavy stuff.

As far as the immediate situation's concerned, and future "Vague" situations, I'll spend a round searching before I find what I need.

I'm going to edit in Galvon's departure for a little while early tomorrow morning if there aren't any new posts, just for a heads up.

Sorry for being absent so suddenly. Our internet decided that it was too important to slave under my keyboard and went on a strike :P

I have read all the posts so far and I can post tomorrow (it is in the middle of the night now) and get Jakundr back into the game :)

Whoops didn't realise we were so well prepared.
Could anybody possibly write a very short summary of what's happened so far, trying to read long blocks of text on this phone is getting painful. :)

I stopped at the end of page three, it was getting painful. Posting is pretty damn difficult too.

Summary from page four up to page six:

The group discover Doran was spying on them in order to steal a key from Mizar (which Mizar did not have) so he could get into the Amelion Tomb to get Azura's Star (so he could bring his dead wife back from the dead for a few seconds so he could say goodbye). The group agrue a bit, Daniella and Mizar storm out, Darrshan bursts in and has a quick back and forth between a few of the group. Then Doran goes to the Alchemy shop to get his stolen money back, he gets told about a Thieves Guild hideout in the chapel catacombs which he promptly investigates. He gets locked in the catacombs with a few bandits, Constantine, Darrshan and Galvon go to the rescue. A Khajiit bandit has had his throat slit and is currently awaiting Mizar's arrival so he can be healed.

That's pretty much it, you'd think that in three pages the plot would have thickened a bit.
Which reminds me, who is the Artificer? He or She? What is his or her puzzle? Are we to kill the Artificer and take his or hers puzzle from him or her? Or are we to rescue him or her from a tower and stop his or hers puzzle from blowing up? Will we be on a whirlwind adventure across Tamriel? Will we visit the large crater which used to be Vvardenfell or will we go to Firsthold instead?

Well, as I mentioned above... Darrshan did have a healing potion as part of his generic Adventuring Equipment. It just took him a round of immediate posts to find. I'm leaving the bandit's condition iffy enough just in case the party hasn't had enough drama yet :P

I'm not trying to come off as a god-mode Walking Anti-climix, but then again, Darrshan's two packs is supposed to indicate he's pretty well-prepared for emergency circumstances.

Thank you Unadoring. I think all we need now is a reason for the group to work together and something for them to do and we'll be set.
