The Assignment Thoughts

Did it meet your expectation?

Cuz it kinda made mine, it included the story elements I predicted for myself it would, I knew where she would get her "damaged" looks, so yeah story wise I wasn't let down.

The DLC had some very clever tricks that I could appreciate, but the puzzles were a bit of a lacklusters for me, I mean the game felt easier to me than the main, if we take survival side by side, the enemy awareness was tuned down by a notch, and the ending couldn't really strike me as the game hit its peak by the end of chapter 1 and after that it was like a walk in the park, no real threats to be aware of and the level design was more predictable.

Thankfully I didn't run into any glitches, game was smooth and the cutscenes were plentiful, and the journey was satisfyingly long.

I would buy the season pass again, despite the negatives, if you enjoyed the main game I can only recommend Kid.

Kurayami . . . here I come!

It most definitely delivered what promised, but I hope the next chapter would have more combat, I'd love to use some new guns :)

I saw someone post picture from a twitter account. I believe it was the director of this dlc, john I believe. Basically someone posted that they loved the dlc but missed some of the gun play and action from the main game. John replied thanks for playing and about the stuff you miss... Just wait til part 2. :) fear not I have a feeling part 2 is when things really start to heat up!

As far as my thoughts I loved it. The atmosphere was great and pretty much delivered on everything that they promised the stealth was a nice change up although I do agree it was rather easy but still fun. Fun to experiment with the stealth too. I am also very impressed with the effort put into the new environments. You don't see that too often with dlc and it is greatly appreciated. Oh and I personally find this shadowy m?bius executive very very interesting and somewhat unsettling. Seems more of a threat than Ruvik. And his voice really adds to it. Very curious how all this will end. Tango has done one hell of job! Thanks guys!

I'm loving it (haven't beat it yet).

In my opinion, superior gameplay than that of the original game. The game was very buggy and messy, but the DLC gameplay feels much more fluid thanks to all the new little gameplay mechanics they added to avoid the clunkyness of the first experience. Little things can make all the difference.

It's also scary from the get-go, so that was nice.

Edit: I must add, with all the new effects and visuals going on this DLC looks absolutely gorgeous. The best looking idTech5 experience so far. Good thing I got a new gpu, running at my monitor's res with highest settings and it's flowing almost like water.
