I started to play Fallout 3 again, last weekend, and I've noticed that my journey through the Capital Wasteland is filled with apprehension. The whole atmosphere is extremely depressing, almost hopeless. I feel like I'm walking the Lonesome Road ALL THE TIME, like the whole Fallout 3 area IS the Divide!
Honestly, Bethesda did a great job in capturing the whole depressing aftermath of a Nuclear War. However, it's been over 200 years, but yet, Fallout 3 feels like everything just happened, like a few moths ago. Overall, it's not a bad thing, it's just different. Maybe I get more of a S.T.A.L.K.E.R Pripyat vibe from FO3, which also filled me with apprehension every step of the way. LOL
Or Half Life 2 - Ravenholm... apprehension isn't even the word for THAT area. Yes, yes, I'm easily spooked, so sue me! LOL

My heart beats faster every time I set foot into a building or a subway. I guess, right now I just continue with my game just to prove to myself that I CAN DO IT! That it's just a game and I can overcome my fear of the Capital Wasteland! LOL
I'm much braver and in better spirits when I walk around the Mojave (well, besides when I head into the Divide. Yet I still love that place for some odd reason hehe). Maybe the cheerful, sparkling lights of New Vegas, illuminating the sky in the distance, put a bounce into my step!

Well, I just had to share this with my fellow Fallout enthusiasts.
