Immersion does not equal roleplaying.

I understand and share your preferred playstyle. A shameless self quote from another thread may serve just.
Thanks nu_clear_day.
I have a few questions for those who think that the bank space is not a problem (Note: I am talking BANK not Inventory):
What value does it add to your game that the bank is so limited?
What value would it take from you, the game, the devs or anything else if it would be... let us just say unlimited?
I played a breton and just got them through quests, a servant outfit on the starting isle ,3-4 different bandit outfits, 2x a Mage outfit from the worm cult (one rope one with pants) something like that.
I am also not talking Inventory... I think that is kind of okish. I am talking Bank. And I sure hope that I can find all the trait gems for my professions in this game and what crafter would not hold on to them? And there are 8 for blacksmithing you can check the an ESOhead (http://esohead.com/crafting#zM8c8A8dt8k8z8m808z8) it is actually not that much. But i accumulates quickly with other items.
About the racial gems I think we actually aggree. I would NOT vendor them as I would make a loss.
I agree, and since they just added more slots, kinda makes me think this feedback has gotten some of thier attention, will have to see how or if they expand on this in the future now..
The locked poll disagrees with you. I suppose you will find that annoying too.
Feasability doesn't change anything. This is a forum. Where people discuss topics. As far as moderation is concerned we could have a thread about whether the stars in the sky show the proper constellations, and be on thread #20 about it.
Regardless of what's going to realistically change, it doesn't void other members' opinions or how they feel about it. If they still wish to discuss the topic (and no rules are being broken) then it's fine. We're not going to PM you every time a thread is created to make sure it matches your own personal criteria, after all. And if you don't like a discussion there's plenty of threads out there which might interest you more.
Yep, that unless this issue takes over other threads. Anyway no worries, I will sod off somewhere else and annoy people on different subjects .)
This mindset is what prompted me, last week, to give this more thought. That's when I made the statement that I will create and develop all of my alts first. Only then will I create a main character. That is... unless I just get too wrapped up in one of the others. I dare say I won't have a main or alts, as I will see all of them as a main, for one reason or another.
You think a sample size of 110 protester representing the entire population in a nation is legitmately comparable to a sample size of 150+ forumer to represent a population of probably less than 2m? That is some extreme fallacy you are using right there.
My wife saw my issues with managing my slots so she agreed to get her own game and be my crafting buddy!!
Yeah I know she's truly a peach!
Now I think I might have to end up rolling both mains and alts.
I'm already nuts.......................think she has ulterior motives?
I like the amended patch 18 slots and all the other fixes as well.
They really are listening and they do care about their gamers! IMHO
Actually it is not possible for either side here in the forum to make even an educated guess about how many people think this is a problem. Simply because many who have played the game do not read the forum or if the read they don't post. But the poll is the ONLY way we have to get some very very very rough idea.
Statistic would suggest that more people think that it is a problem though as the sample size is bug enough. BUT It only represents people that are:
a. reading this forum
b. read the thread
c. bothered to vote
Not all players.
And it is useless to discuss sample sizes and such as we don't have the tools to take a representative vote. We can only set forth arguments for both sides and turn in circles unless one site get's bored, we get results or a statement. This does not make this discussion useless... just makes it turn in circles because nobody is right now capable of ending it.
You're expecting me to believe your opinion is representative of the masses - 1 is a lot less than 110.
Also in the beta poll several hundred responded, so even more representative. Again, that returned another 80% or more vote for bag space being an issue.
I'm not trying to be an ass here, but it would seem that 5 threads on the same subject is a little Over Powered. I can understand that some people, (mostly the two or three that keep opening this topic up over and over again), have a concern about an aspect of a game that has not been released yet.
All in all though, it would seem that this topic has run its course. Maybe it should be locked out for a couple days. Then allowed to open up again with a fresh idea or two; not the same posts, from the same people, stating the same things over and over again.
I am trying not to sound like an ass here.
Threads become locked due to post limits - it is one continuation (and within the rules as expressed by a mod)
I understand the reasons for the locks, but I am saying, no new information is being shared. It has become a rant, more than anything.
As there is still a discussion going on it seems we are going to have more threads like this. The only thing that can end this would be someone with authority to make a statement. Unless this happens you will have to wait till one side gets bored of this discussion.
I don't think it's a rant - but it does seem that many people are ignoring opposing views entirely.
Personally, I would hope the devs could simply state how they see the inventory working:
- is the inventory system supposed to be a limiting factor in crafting? (if so, roughly how many/which mixture of crafts are supposed to be 'comfortable'?)
- do they see horse storage as a 'big thing' (possibly in contrast to many players)?
- as 'non-gameplay' items are collected/added, is that part of the inventory/bank plan? (notably costumes/pets etc). [and, as I discovered in the last beta, if your character stores a unique costume in a bank, your alts cannot pickup that item - which can be a bit confusing].
- is there an intent for 'future systems' (housing?) to alleviate any inventory concerns?
I saw this demonstrated on a video, but when I was playing the game last weekend it didn't seem to work for me. Is there a tab or something I missed or was that feature not live on the stress test?
It's being discussed because it's still an issue - people talk about what's important to them, it's the way of people and certainly the way of a forum (the whole point of a forum is to have a place to discuss things). No need to try shut things down just because you don't see it as something you care about.
I hope more of the 2nd and none of the first.... but my sleeping mind seems to be a bit aggressive today
