The Bard Poet

I shot an arrow into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For, though I saw the prey, in sight
The arrow just vanished, and the elk made flight.

I breathed a song into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For who can understand the dragon song,
When I alone, am Dragonborn?

Long, long afterward, in an adventure’s knee
I found the arrow, he must be a guard trainee;
And the song, from beginning to end,
I found again as the dragons descend.

Obviously borrowed a little from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. ;)
