Who/What is the Beast of Anequina. Was it the ruler of Anequina? What variant of Khajiit was it (If khajiit at all)? I'm having trouble finding much specific info on it other than the name, Darloc Brae (which doesn't sound Khajiit to me)

As far as I know, there is no further info. I would assume that he was a ruler, since the rest of the representatives were, and that he is one of the quadrupedal breeds, since they are more "beastly".

To me, the name seems either Imperial, or Bosmeri, and here's a plausible answer for both:

1) If Imperial, it's possible that the 'Beast of Anequina' was a Werelion, having been then accepted into the Anequina Tribe, and ascended to their clan leader.

2) If Bosmeri, it's possible this 'Darloc Brae' was the remnant of a previous Wild Hunt, having been locked in the form of something resembling a monstrous Khajiiti-like beast, then accepted into the Anequina Tribe, and ascended to their clan leader.
