Pretty much why my answer is grenades. All bullets do is cause damage and eventually incap someone. Grenades down them right then and there, which opens up a lot of opportunity. Not to mention than bullets won't arc over obstacles or bounce off around corners.

The question is about best weapon, which limits us to the guns, grenades, knife... I can't think of anything else. Maybe turrets, in which case, I might say those are better than grenades.

but the grenades in brink are more to put you on your butt so i can put some lead in your brain. :gun: :dead:

There usually isn't a "best" anything unless it's personal. I prefer semi-auto rifles that are accurate and have some power. But it just depends on the weapons.

Same preference here, I generally prefer power and accuracy over waves of bullets. That being said I'll probably be playing as a light and I hate snipers so I'll likely be using smgs

Dev's said that there will be no best weapon in any category. Of course, everyone is entitled to their own preferences and opinions.

These devs are really trustworthy guys 'n gals who love Brink at least as much as we fans do though. I believe in the me that believes in them.

Anyway, no idea on the best weapon. I do think than an assault rifle with a drum mag, underbarrel grenade launcher, and a low-zoom scope would be pretty good at covering a lot of different situations though. Not my favorite type of weapon, as I'm really more of a shotgun/SMG/handgun kinda guy, but I do know that assault rifles are nothing if not versatile.

Actually its a AK47u not a AK47, also this is brink so nuu, and i dont think theres a ak47 kind of gun in Brink, or is there?

I've heard that the Rhett AR looks sort of kind of similar maybe.

ACTUALLY there is the AK74U SMG and AK47 Assault Rifle. In Black Ops.

There is neither of them in BRINK.

But you are forgetting that i can shoot your grenade in midair or in your hand, grenades can back fire.
for my favorite weapon look at my sig.

If I were going to attack you while standing straight up in the middle of the battlefield, I wouldn't use a grenade. I'll be lobbing grenades from behind cover, so not only won't you be able to shoot them in my hand, you'll have even less opportunity to shoot them out of the air, since you have to take into account you reaction time.

THEN, you have to decide between shooting the grenade or keeping your eyes on me. You gonna let my nade knock you on your ass, or are you going to forget about me for the split-second I need to regain my footing in our fray? My grenade can only help me, and that's how I define "effective".

Should you get close enough. I can run faster than you and shotguns are infamous for short ranges to begin with.

ahaahah run faster than shotguns that doesnt make sense youve never played the game and if your reffering to real life you cant

there's actually two that have been confirmed - the drognov and the barrett (they're classified as light rifles although they're essentially sniper rifles)

They're not unless they're buffed and shot at an unbuffed light player. Even then it's just a knockdown so no real worries :biggrin:

Hmm, I'm not 100% sure about attachment limitations, although I THINK you can add any attachment to any gun. I'm pretty sure the light rifle's won't be absurdly OP'd though, as they have small magazines and really slow reload times

Also, the more attachments you add to the gun, the heavier it gets - meaning decreased equip times, etc.

Ive never seen the AK47 in Black ops, i was wondering why they would put the AK74U but not its big sister the AK74 assault rifle, mabey its cause i play nazi zombies more then anythign and i have only seen the AK74U in it. Unless im forgetting :/ O well
