questions:
1. why have certain iconic weapons from previous fallout games not appeared in fallout 3, and will some of them appear in New Vegas? examples being the .223 pistol (the one whose image was homage to blade runner), the older energy weapons (plasma and laser pistols), the Desert Eagle, or even the DKS 501 sniper rifle? Some i can see due to copyright issues (the blade runner pistol for example), but others are fallout only weapons.
2. I believe it has been addressed previously, but i was unsure as to whether it was said for certain on whether Fallout New Vegas will be using a combination of DT (damage threshold) AND DR (damage resistance), or simply one of the two?
3. Are there any locations that overlap with the area from the previous Fallouts (1 and 2) much like the Den, or how Shady Sands and Vault 13 appeared in both the 1st 2 games, albeit in different states to show the change in the times? or does New Vegas take place far enough away to be an entirely separate location with ALL new previously unseen areas?
4. Is there still level scaling in Fallout New Vegas (like with the raiders who just get more HP and do more damage the higher your level is)? or is it going to be set enemy types in an area, or a combination/permutation such as set enemies only appear after the PC falls in a range of levels?
5. One thing i always found enjoyable in the previous fallout was how you came across the relics of the past (backstory or items) in areas that seemed to actually fit--( ie Fallout 1 where power armor was only found in one of maybe 2 or 3 spots in the game such as The Glow, or ); which added to the immersion of the story, instead of randomly coming across a mini nuke in an area that even for suspension of disbelief would have been scavenged a 100 times over, or everyone and their mother selling power armor. Exploration to me in Fallout 3 was enjoyable for the most part, but some item placement just came across as a bit silly or too unrealistic (even for a sci fi setting) to me. Will item placement be similar to this? or will it continue as such like with Fallout 3 more than likely due to requiring spares to keep weapons/armor in working order?
6. which brings me to another question; how will the repair mini game work? will you still require a separate but same type item to repair the one you wish? or will it be more similar to the oblivion system of repair?
