Why would anyone want to look like an acorn is beyond me, but girls emulate female hairstyles, so this really isn't any different.

Looks like a couple squirrel tails epoxied on the kid's head. Add hairspray and a blow drier.... ta-da! Let's call it fashion.
Even I had enough sense to avoid getting a mullet back in my school days.

Of course they do. Girls find the Bieber kid hot. Boys want the girls to find them hot as well. What follows is the "Bieber Craze." Its no different than kids getting a Beatles cut back in the 60's. Other than the fact that they got to emulate John Lennon while the boys from today are going to have to look at themselves in their 30's knowing they willingly copied Justin Bieber, which is really punishment enough if you think about it.

My hair naturally grows into a Beatles style.

Opium.

Professor: "Good lord! According to the spectralizer, Spargel's magic ingredient was ... water! Ordinary water!"
Fry: "Ah, so the real gift Spargel gave you was confidence. The confidence to be your best."
Professor: "Yes, ordinary water. Laced with nothing more than a few spoons full of LSD."

Jealousy sure fills seats quickly.

You seriously think everybody on earth is jealous of the people they don't care for? How does that make any sense? I don't like his music, he seems annoying and as a result I don't like him. I also don't like heavy metal songs where the lyrics are screamed at you, so does that mean I'm jealous of the people who sing them?

It doesn't, which is why I didn't even begin to imply it.

Half of this thread is people hating the haircut, and the other half is people saying he looks like a girl. Hairstyles are fashion, which changes every five minutes and relies almost entirely on embracing other people's opinions as your own. Definitions of what's "manly" are almost as vague and transient. Both, however, revolve around what you think is attractive to those looking at you and almost nothing else. Countless people have haircuts and faces that don't match people's imaginary standards of the week, but no one cares until the girls find that attractive instead of showering attention all over whatever you've got. Now it's suddenly unacceptable.

His hairstyle is old. It's been done before, countless times.

I've seen his hair criticized before this quite a few times, but what's different now is that there's an entire thread dedicated to it. The fact that this thread is filling up so quick isn't so much that people are jealous that girls like his haircut, but because people love to criticize Bieber and now have a whole thread to do so in.

You know it! I have my 3 year old Vans, my year old jeans, and a shirt that I've had since I was in middle school. I'm on the cutting edge of fashion.

They prefer to call it "cool," or whatever slang has co-opted the term for the moment. Dolls/action figures, etcetera.

I just realized, this thread will likely hit the 200 post limit right around the few hours of the night that there are no moderators online. It's happening already, as only Summer is online at the moment.

And there are dozens of people viewing it...
