The Big Scorpion - easiest kill in all OWB?

Post » Sun Sep 11, 2011 7:24 am

Well I had the same experrience as most people. Snuck in, saw something red, and realised the Scorpion wasnt a myth!
Now I did have Living Anatomy , so I had the pleasure off knowing how [censored] I was!
Panic, chemed up, wiped out the .45 SMG and let 'im have it. And down it went. :whistling:
Now my point here is when I looked at my health.... I had hardly been hit?!?
I am not a "dodger" so I usualy get at least a little hurt and this was BIG. :cold:
My only theory is that I crouched behind the railing (emidetly on entry) so that cowered me. But since "he" was so damn big and I was shooting so wildly at least 2/3 of my bullets went over the railing and hit home. :gun:
Or is it bugged? Crappy aim?

I swear I had a harder time killing standard bloat-flies then this (damn stalactites.)

I've been through owb twice now and had the same experience as you. Maybe it's supposed to be ironic? I found it quite funny how easy it is after all the hype.

It's meant to be super easy fight. In fact, there should have been an in game achievement for losing to the X-42.

It took me a while to realize it attacked at all. I just hid in one of those bunkers and shot it through the window. It just stood there and died.

It wasn't a very difficult fight for sure. But I don't really think its meant to be. I used the protectron terminal, the generator one, and the laser turret teriminals. Then I just sat back and watched.

I just shot it a few times with Elijah's Jury-Rigged Tesla Cannon, then the Sonic Emitter (Gabe) when I ran out of MC ECPs (character was a Guns specialist, so had little EW ammo), and down it went.

When you step in and first see it powering up it looks like it's going to be really dangerous to deal with, but unfortunately it cannot claw you through the railing so all you have to do is stand there and keep firing until it explodes. The regular-sized Mk IVs were more dangerous, since their huge HP pool made it difficult to keep them from closing to melee and beating on you.

I just snuck in and disabled it from the terminal.

Am I the only one that had trouble with it?

I know it shouldn't have taken 4 mini nukes at 100 explosives to kill the thing! What was I doing wrong...

Actually given that it has 4000 hp , yes it should take 4 nukes. I cant recall how many .45 I fired.... :gun:
