the biggest change that is needed on most MP FPS

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 3:13 pm

The main issue that I have with the mp on this, brink and many other FPS is that hardly anyone talks, tactically or otherwise. It makes these otherwise great games mucho boring. I love this game and enjoy playing it, but I seem to gravitate back to the COD games I own simply due to the fact that people communicate. If they get out of hand I simply mute selected people and continue to have a good time. The open communication is what keeps people coming back to the COD titles over and over again. Am I the only one on here that prefers open comms? Just my thoughts.

Oh and yes I will purchase the DLC and continue to play as long as possible. And as a side note, I picked up Brink and it is ok. Pretty fun, but nowhere near the epic journey that this is.

I go into cod games all the time and all i hear is radio silence. Unfortunately not everyone plugs in their mics. But when they do any game is better.

Its the type of game itself, things like Halo and battlefield are a more social experience and games like CoD and Crysis 2 are a more lone wolf style of game.

Actually, people in COD talk more than in any other FPS and people in Battlefield hardly ever speak. That is my experience anyways unless you play with friends. I generally play in the mornings and hardly ever find people to strategize with.

I play with friends mostly so never quiet, but on the few occasions that people would talk in the lobby they were either speaking in another language or giving me verbal abuse.

You would not believe the amount of times I've called hacker, no lifer etc just because I kick their ass. So I tend to mute people from the get go.

I have had a lot of people add me but they never put on their mics or accept party invites but they will join my game in progress and play in the same squad for 10+ games and then just leave... bizzare. I suppose they just want to play with a strong squad. It's very hard to win CS and CTR especially without a party. I've gone 36-10 solo on CS and still lost because I can't be everywhere at once, if kill 2-3 off the CS then the other 3 teammates will kill me, just not possible on your own.

the biggest change imo is take away the auto aim in a patch that fixes lag and an update to the netcode

Most of the people who speak on COD are either:

1. Playing music so loud, that those who are playing for tactics, are forced to mute a member.

2. Talking so much crap/screaming, which is why I love the mute button.

3. Actually being serious/tactical.

Its rarely #3. *In my experiences.
