RP - The Black Crusade

Post » Tue Aug 24, 2010 6:36 am

I walked through the portal, the horrors I had seen, in the madness of the Shivering Isles, in the hellish deadlands of Oblivion, even when I fought Umaril the Unfeathered... Was nothing compared to this. I entered the portal through an ancient dwarven city, it was the biggest mistake I had ever made. However, it granted me great power, beyond even the greatest mage's comprehension. With each passing day, I grow stronger, but more beastial. Every passing day I hear the King of [censored]'s voice whisper, "Do it, lead my armies and take what is rightfully yours, Champion." For years I have resisted it, but now the voice is growing stronger and so is Molag Bal's hold on me. If you are reading this, be aware, you have very little time left to put me down, before I truly live up to my title I earned in the arena, The Tamriel Terror. ~Diary of the Champion of Cyrodiil, 4E 45

The date is 4E 46, the time until his assault is unknown... Emperor Ocato has just called for all adventurers, now that he has discovered the diary, and you all have an inner feeling to help the empire, for your own personal reasons...

This may sound like a stupid question, but could I be a Dremora, pwetty pwease? I have a strong love for the Dremora race and I study them in game and out game. Hell, I even made one of my characters in-game look like a Dremora.. But if it isn't allowed, that's fine, I'll find a different race.

Zalphon, if I could make a suggestion on how many skills we could have, I would lower it to a maximum of about five skills. Ten is way too uber and you don't want that in an RP.

But I might make a character for this.

Very good point; characters should have balance and with 10 skills available you can be a master in combat, stealth and magic.

But this does look like a neat idea; definitely your best yet. :)

Don't forget that in Morrowind half ot those five skills are secondary skills and should be at a lower proficiency than the five main skills. Which means you can be good in one area of expertise (say magic) and passable in another.

Even limiting to five skills can get you some proficency in the three domain : say one weapon style, one armor, two schools of magic and sneaking. You won't cover all bases, but can be a pro in the most used skillls from the three areas of expertise.

The five secondary skills let you either have skills in you weak areas (which comes handy when there's no specialist ariound) or get a package of supporting skills to enhance your area of expertise.

Oh and one last thing : if I read right, the characters are supposed to be adventurers picked by the emperor himself for what sounds like risky business. Which implies experienced ones. Having them outfitted with basic entry-level crap even worse than what a Legion recruit gets seems a bit weird. Maybe the emperor is looking for disposable meat for a 'mineclearing' expedition...

5 major, 5 minor, (if you have no magic skills you will not be able to cast any spells unless I allow it via you learning the spell).

Do note, calling all adventurers, he doesn't care if your in daedric armor or iron from the days of the Eternal Champion.

Quick question: would you prefer characters fighting alongside the corrupted CoC, or will the focus of the story be heroes sent to take down this death knight? I need to know this before I make a character.

Your goal is to kill him or bring him back to the light... If you become a vampire (if I so choose), you will be sided with him, for a little while... Ingame you will be able to resist his call for 3-5 ingame hours, after that you have a bloodthirst to kill your party. They will most likely kill you...

(Vampirism is random chance... or if you break the rules, and even then, you only "randomly" discover you have the vampire disease if you break the rules, you know from the start if you get it off random chance)
