The Black Pilgramage

Post » Mon Apr 05, 2010 9:37 pm

Please excuse spelling errors, do not have any editors with me atm.

20 years after the Oblivion Crisis, the Elder Council ruled Cyrodiil, putting out fair and reasonable laws. All was well, and nothing of much intrest happened. Sure, there were tensions, a battle here, a skirmish there, but nothing of importance. Kvatch was almost completely rebuilt, and all was well. Well, atleast that's what everyone thought.

4E 24: All contact with the Summerset Isles was completely lost, nobody heard anything from there, no ships travelling to and fro, nothing. Ships were sent to check it out, and reported that the entire Archipeligo was gone. Nobody could explain it, many guessed at it though: Natural Disasters, Daedric Prince, Some Massive Chamelion Spell, but these were all incorrect...

4E 26: Valenwood loses contact with the rest of the world. The land is hidden in a thick, black fog, where you cannot see 5 feet infront of your face, even with a torch. Everyone that ventures in does not come back, and anyone camped near it dissapears. A large Legion force is stationed outside of Valenwood, getting ready to intercept whatever comes out.

The Legion Force was slaughtered, survivors gone completely insane, recalling it as "Half-Dead Woodelfs running at you with Ax's, missing arms, legs, and heads." The Entire Empire has to forget thier differences and teams up to face this foe.

4E 30: The largest force ever amassed was stationed in southern Cyrodiil, ready to take on any foe. The fog traversed into Elsweyr, and the Khajiits have been lost contact with. The most devastating battle ever known, called The Slaughter at The West Weald, consisted of over 100,000 Half-Dead Khajiit and Wood Elf men, women and children attacked the force, and thousands of people were slain. Man and Mer alike fought side by side against the most horrid enemy ever known.

4E 31: The Battle was won by the Allied Forces, but at terrible losses. Estimates of over 70,000 soldiers were killed, and bodies and blood were strewn across the battlefield. Everyone tried to figure out what this enemy was, but nobody could figure it out.

4E 35: The Fog expanded through Leyawiin, moving into the Black Marsh, filling the entire Province. By now, the Elder Council has issued a State of Emergency, having regular people take up arms and get ready to fight at a moments notice.

4E 36: The Black Fog traveled North into Morrowind, engulfing the entire Country.

4E 38 NOW: The Black Fog is expected to travel into Skyrim, and it was evacuated. Of course, some refused to leave, and are still there, waiting for thier fate. Cyrodiil is nearly surrounded, and can be attacked from any time.

Your Role: You can be anyone. You can be a citizen waiting in Skyrim for the Fog to come, you can be a leader of the Allied Forces, ready to fight the half-dead citizens of the victim Provinces. You can be an adventurer just trying to figure whats going on, or you can be a noble in High Rock getting ready for the inevitable.

I will play more important persons, such as Ocato, The Elder Council, the General of the Allied Forces, The Fog, and so on.

Some info on the 'Half-Dead': These are regular citizens, seemingly butchered and killed, but they are not dead. They cannot feel anything, and seem to run at incredible speeds. Even without a brain, a 'Half-Dead' can move around, meaning that there is some kind of magic involved. The main problem of the 'Half-Dead' is that somebody could cut through them and turn thier backs, just to be hacked in the back.

All 'Half-Deads' carry BattleAxes, and hack away at thier enemies. Some enemies though, such as children or frailer women, cannot hold them up as well, and cannot strike as fiercly.

I'll post some more information later, if I get enough people to say yes.

Where are they getting all these axes?

But seriously, I'll be back tommorow with a real review. Doesn't look too bad, it's still a bit too big. Global catastrophes rarely go well

Recent Bio: Sarpedon has ordered immediate evacuation, and he will stay with Falpen until every man, child, and woman is safely in Cyrodiil. Only then will he leave the town.

Sorry, seems not. I would join, but I'm rather busy nowadays. Terribly sorry, I'd advise taking part in at least another dozen RPs before trying to create another. Thanks for trying though

Tamriel vs. the Zombie Apocalypse? Yeah, meh. Look into the lore, come up with something more multi-facited and interesting, something that seems like it could actually be an Elder Scrolls game. Either that or take the comedy route, that's the only thing that makes zombie apocalypses tolerable.
