You are still dealing with the white menus issue, right? I think you should try a clean install, but you should not have to uninstall all of Oblivion. Uninstall all of your OMODs and BAIN packages (if you use BAIN) and remove the Oblivion.ini. Afterward, reinstall the setup you posted above, minus the unrecognized mods and the unlimited XX plugins. That load order does not require a bashed patch, so forget about that. Make sure you install MMO after installing the UI mod. You should probably install Atmospheric Dark UI loading screens after installing the UI mod as well.

Alright, I will get on it. It will take a while (plus I am really distracted looking at foreign mods  from Poland and Russia) so go ahead and check back tomorrow for an edit here to see what the result is.

If your going to reinstall and start over, keep in mind this time that there are no "unnecessary" steps/software, if your going to do it do it the way thats documented and works for the majority.
Not installing things is only going to lead more problems and frustrations. With some version of wrye you'll need to manually copy the bashed patch file into your data folder, i had to do this with the latest actually.

Also you might want to look into the OBSE mods "oblivion stutter remover" & "oblivion crash prevention"
which may/may not alleviate some crashes on your next install, so long as your willing to tweak some ini values.

I did invest in getting the stutter remover, since the first thing I noticed when running up hills I sometimes had a bit of a stutter, however, I will give the crash preventer a try once Oblivion is up and running again for me. right now, I am reinstalling my OMODs....I had to uninstall Oblivion, but I didn't do an entire sweep clean of it (remove all mods and so forth) I just removed the game to overwrite the overwritten textures/menus and so hopefully this will fix it.

Do not install the Crash Prevention System until you are sure you need it. It covers up certain crashes, and you already have some more fundamental issues that need servicing as it is. You did not need to reinstall vanilla Oblivion. You need to reinstall your modded setup. From what you described, the original files were still intact. If you did not mess around with the BSAs, that is not doing anything to change the state of your setup. Make sure you are regenerated your Oblivion INI; otherwise, you did not even do a clean install of vanilla Oblivion.

well...I think Qarl's overwrote the original BSA's thats why the readme told me to make an ArchiveInvalidation using OBMM or something that I don't understand

No. QTP3 did not overwrite the original files. It overlaps with the original files. Archive Invalidation is used to deal with multiple copies of the same file being found in the data folder. File overlap can occur between multiple BSAs and loose data files. If you have BSA redirection checked in utilities>archive invalidation in OBMM, then you do not need to worry about archive invalidation.

If you want to know more about archive invalidation: http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/installmods/archiveinvalidation.

Edit: You need to reinstall your modded setup, not vanilla Oblivion. Make sure you updated Oblivion to the latest version, if you are not using the GOTY version.

I do not know what you mean by that last statement at all. Are you using the GOTY version of Oblivion? If so, your game is already patched to the latest version; if not, you need to install the latest patch.

Those instructions are clear in that you should install the SI version of the latest patch after installing SI OR if you are not using SI, install the latest patch for Oblivion after installing Oblivion.

We're still not dealing with a fundamental problem: you uninstalled Oblivion, but left the modded files intact. Reinstalling Oblivion over that mess will not fix your situation. Rather than making the situation worse by installing additional mods/reinstalling mod, you should save yourself time later by investing the time now with a clean, proper install.

It's akin to trying to build a glass house on a bed of quicksand...amidst a raging hailstorm. It's an exercise in futility that will only result in your frustration and ours.

PROFANITY!!!!
well...my endevor to fix Oblivion was futile....so Tomlong, that was your idea....now I suppose try an absolute clean install? or maybe I didn't do something right on your end Tom...

Anyways, the results are: Worse...now I can't even get to the menu without crashing.

I think you need to do a reinstall. Follow the instructions I linked. Here it is again: http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/install. Follow the "Next Step" found toward the bottom of the pages that I call the "spine" of the site to make sure you do not miss anything this time around.

I had a feeling that was going to be the case, so I already began the unisntall/reinstall process....
I just finished removing my mods and so forth, and now I just got to install Oblivion...then SI....then OBMM, and I suppose it wouldn't hurt to use OBMM from now on to install all my mods, huh?

Probably not. I did not see you mention the latest patch, which should be added before OBMM (if going by importance)...Remember to regenerate the Oblivion.ini as well. See that page I linked just in case I missed something too.

well I figured it was understood to patch :P
it gave me a little trouble when patching, so I hope it worked properly...I am pretty certain it did, but it took a few tries before it would let me patch....however I did forget to generate the .ini...but...that isn't THAT big of a problem right?
I haven't activated any mods yet...just installed OBMM and installed about 1/5 of my mods thus far.

edit:
Nevermind, I did actually generate my .ini, I remember now.

Not regenerating the Oblivion.ini has spawned more posts about "Why won't my game start?" that you know...do not test the Oblivion.ini, but you should remember to apply the http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/stabilization/oblivion after regenerating it. :D

geeze...reinstalling the mods takes the longest...especially OOO...I hate installing OOO, I watched a whole episode and a half of south park before it was finished installing, then I still need to activate it. I have not activated any mods yet, I have just installed them.
I have stopped installing today (actually I stopped about 2 hours ago) but before I fire Oblivion up tomorrow (hopefully) after getting all my mods (and then some) back in, is there any program, mods I should have or should consider having?

currently I only have BOSS and OBMM installed, but I plan on getting OBSE back in tomorrow (I lost the zip file of v18b so I will have to redownload)
any thing important or recommended?

Read through that site. All of my big recommends are there. See the Preparing for Mods page for the utilities, Downloading mods for a general collection of recommendations or simply ideas, Stabilization Mods to make sure you have the important mods from there and Optimization Mods to make sure you are not missing out on those either. The last group you may want to check out are on the Mods for Troubleshooting page. All of the "Mods" pages are found under their respective spine pages (i.e., Stabilization Mods is found under Stabilization.) Mods for Troubleshooting, Optimization Mods and Stabilization Mods contain my most important recommendations that do not really make your setup more complicated. They just add stability or features that might be useful.

I can't help but just stare at my data files panel when I open it up to activate my mods :)
brings a tear to my eye :')
It's so clean! and I KNOW what every mod does (before there were a few that were titled weird so I couldn't remember what exactly they were for). I'm going to fire oblivion up and hope it works now...cross your fingers, I really don't want to have to go through ALL of that again.

EDIT:
that tear magically poofed >: (
you can uncross your fingers now...the game STILL FREAKING CRASHED...
It might be where I am loading from...I will try an alternate load...

EDIT:
and loading an alternate save had no different results.....[put bad word here]!!! *headdesk*

alright, let's review my LO

Post your load order. I can review it so that you do not have to start over whatever testing or first-run steps you plan to take in the event that something is not quite right.

Do you have the fixed version of NW installed? You can find a link to it here: http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/stabilization/stabilizationmods. When are the crashes occurring? Also, remove the new mods until you fix this issue. Adding new mods to a broken mess is not helpful unless you are adding troubleshooting mods to aid discovering the source of the problem.

same place as last time....crashes on load...when I load a saved game...any saved game.

NW was not in my LO before so I have disabled it, I will see about patching it (thanks for that link :) after we resolve the problem at hand.
