The Blades - The Rescue

Raime caught up with the group just as the big orc was shouting out some directions. She caught a bit of what he said, but only gathered something like "you don't run, you die... you run fast and live."

He's preparing us for a dash, she thought. They must still be fighting outside. I hope this works.

She looked around. The others in the group seemed to have gathered up the odd piece of armor here or a stray weapon there. Raime hadn't. I hope that doesn't cost me, she thought. At least I don't have any extra weight to carry.

Raime offered her acknowledgment to the orc as the rest of the group did. Any moment he would give the call and everyone would dash out of this hellish place and, hopefully, towards freedom. She was already a little warmed up and her heart was pounding.

Pumped up and ready to go, she focused on the orc. Any second he would make his move. She waited.

Vanas, Prison

The prisoners were now following the blades of the hellish jail they once called home. It seemed like every few steps Vanas had to step over a corpse that was slain during the epic battle. The Dark Elf was not squeamish, he had seen his fair share of death, blood, and gore. He finally came across a body of an eviscerated Nord. The northern-man was outfitted in torn animal fur armor, and a broken leather shield lay at his side. The Dumner crouched down and removed the body’s fur greaves, equipping them on himself. A glint of steel caught his eyes, and he spotted a Nordic broadsword, the corpse still gripping it. Prying the blade from the dead man’s hands, Vanas was now armed and armored, ready for almost anything.

At this point, he spotted a large Imperial man offering drinks to the other escapees. He looked powerful and friendly. Vanas decided to approach the man “Hello” the Dumner greeted in a gruff voice “got any of that drink left? Im parched.”

OOC: Hello everyone! UM has given me the okay via PM to go ahead and start posting. I'll be posting in italics which personality is currently in charge for my character.

IC:
Laif Krawl

Awaken to the sound of a lock being bashed, Laif was bleary eyed and slow to rise. He'd been tortured excruciatingly the night before and all he could recall before blacking out was being tossed back into his cell. He shook his head to try and clear himself as he weakly pushed himself up to his knees and finally to his feet. He teetered back and forth slightly before regaining his balance. After a moment of staring blankly into space, it dawned on him that his cell door was wide open.

What the hell? How did my cell door just open like that? I remember the lock being bashed, but who did it? I wonder..

The man poked his head out of the cell, scanning the cell area and, upon conclusion that everyone else had made their escape, decided it was best to make his too. But where to go? His question answered itself as he happened upon a few corpses, the same Nords who had beaten him so profusely the night before. Some of their armor had been stripped, but this wasn't unexpected for an escapee to do. He spat on one, and searched amongst them for some sort of light weapon. Underneath one lay a few measly gold coins and half a loaf of bread, which the Imperial was happy to relieve him of, but to no avail could he find the weapon he sought. There lay plenty of heavier weapons, but none of these he was either particularly fond of or trained in.

A dagger or a shortsword would be perfect, but I expect such small weapons would never touch a Nord's hand.

Continuing down a corridor, following the trail of corpses, Laif heard shouting ahead. Was it his rescuers or his capturers? As quietly as he could manage, he paced down the corridor toward the origin of shouts.

Marcus Percious

((ooc i just realized that i always start off RPs drinking lmao my characters got problems!!))

A dunmer approached asking if any of the Rotgut was left. With a small smile he handed the mostly full flask to the dunmer "Names Marcus Percious friend. This should help slake your thirst" he said happily while handing over the flask.

Looking over to Raime who had just rejoined the group "I winder were she went off to" he thought to himself. Preparing for the run Marcus drew his sword ready to get the hell out of the prison.

Barrett, Exiting the Prison

Barrett leaned over a dead Nordic guard and cut the ropes that bound his hands. Rubbing the rope imprints on his wrists, he examined the Nord’s corpse. The armor was basic fur and iron armor, but was in pretty bad shape. Doubt it would even hold together for another fight, Barrett thought, frowning. However, doesn’t mean I can’t at least replace my clothes. He muttered to the dead body, “Mind if I borrow this, friend?” Chuckling, he replaced his prison rags with the Nord’s fur clothing (which, while including a hood, surprisingly didn’t have sleeves). He also strapped on the man’s iron boots, gauntlets, and extremely beat up chestplate.

Rolling his shoulders, Barrett also picked up the Nord’s weapon, an iron longsword. He spun it in a circle by his side, and frowned, noticing that the balance was a bit off in the weapon. However, he shrugged and muttered, “I gotta do the best with what I can find.” He slid the weapon into the belt he had taken off the Nord as well. Ready to continue on, he turned around to the rest of the prisoners. He noticed that some of them seemed to have found some type of drink on one of the Nords, and were sharing the drink and introducing themselves. Barrett was tempted to go take the drink and remind them that they were in the middle of a prison break, but managed to control himself.

Shaking his head, he walked up near the front of the group and caught the Captain giving orders to the rest of the prisoners. Barrett heard, “When I say go, you go. No waiting, no second thoughts. Run. If you don't run, you die and that slows us down. You run, you live and everyone else gets away happy. Alright?" Barrett sighed and thought sarcastically, Well, this should be fun. Excitement time. It’s a good thing I’ve been trying to stay in shape while I’ve been locked up.

As the group stepped out into the hallway, there lay the site of some of the dead nord soldiers that the blades mad managed to kill. Arwayn let out a smile at seeing their corpses and she cursed at each of them as she walked past, spitting on one. She noticed the others stop to loot the bodies, so she took the time to do so aswell. Picking up one of the Iron daggers, she used it to cut her hands free, and began searching the bodies in hopes of a magicka potion. She also took the time to remove the clothing that the others did not take and began to dress herself into a missmatched outfit. I could not really care less who sees me right now. Thost damn clothes were so dirty and itchy. I will need warmth until we get to their means of escape anyways.

She left the remaining pieces of light armor where they were however, because she had no intentions of staying around in this place any longer than she had to. As much as she wanted to kill every nord in the place for what her capturers did to her, the two Blade soldiers did not wish to stick around in the area now that they had discoverd their friend was dead, and truth be told, she was far too sick of the place herself to wait around just to kill off some swine.

After Arwayn dressed herself she slowly inspected the corpses again, and thankfully on one of the last bodies was a small potion. She recognized it was indeed a magick potion but unfortunately with it's small size she wasnt sure how much help it would be. Drinking it down, she sighed with relief as arcane power once again coursed through her body albeit slowly. It wasnt much at all but atleast she felt a little less feeble now and she probably got enough of a recharge for one good spell.

Suddenly the Captain shouted out to all of the group. “When I say go, you go. No waiting, no second thoughts. Run. If you don't run, you die and that slows us down. You run, you live and everyone else gets away happy. Alright?"

Arwayn nodded her head quietly, and gave a determined gaze down the hall before answering back. "Right. I am ready to go when you are captain!"

Hearing the voice of the blade captain as well as the other prisoners, Nina stopped in her tracks. The best option for survival would be with the group.. yet that captain would so love to put a blade into me.. maybe if i just follow behind in the shadows, i will be able to follow them to the caravan.. by then we will be with the others. As much as he would want to kill me, it would still be classed as murder in his subordinates' eyes and he wouldnt want to lose his precious positon she thought to herself, and grinned (even though no one would ever see it since shes invisible)

The other option would be to try and get out on her own.. and in her current condition as well as the place practically being the place Nords were meant to be, she wouldn't outlast them in the cold weather. She was stubborn but not stupid, so going with her first idea, Nina turned the corner and spied the group getting ready to run out. Hopefully through all the commotion they wouldnt notice the faint shimmer of the surroundings altering slightly behind them as they ran out.

DoNashi

Looking around, while still standing next to Marcus, a dunmer joined the group. He asked Marcus if he had anything of the Rotgut left. Handing it over Marcus introduced himself. DoNashi turned to the dunmer for an introduction, but was distracted by something else.

His higher senses, especially his nose, caught a faint, new smell that was joining the group from where they came first. He looked in the direction from where it came but saw nothing but an empty hallway. I guess I’m still paranoid from being in that cell for so long. And by the way, we all smell as hell, so It’ll be someone from the group that is putting on warmer clothes from the dead guards. Maybe some feet.. he thought. Still he couldn’t help but feeling a shiver going up his spine.

Turning back towards Marcus and the dunmer he pushed the feeling away. “my name is DoNashi” he introduced himself to the dunmer.

Vanas

Vanas took the jug of liquid and drank greedily, draining it of its remaining contents. The jug was now useless, and the Dumner discarded it onto the ground. The male Khajit who was with the imperial turned to greet him- but was distracted. By what or whom, Vanas could not tell, but it set him on edge. The Khajit continued with his greeting “my name is DoNashi”

“Pleased to meet you, my name is Vanas” the Dumner replied. He held much respect in the beast races “You know anything about this? I’m a little slow, still recovering from a nasty concussion.”

Gravious

Gracious hated seeing the prisoners drink. He doubted their empty bellies would be able to hold the strong spirits the nords favoured while they made their dash. He saw Gorun come round the corner. "They're ready sir!" he shouted, the orc sounded relieved. [I]no doubt he's ready to get back to cyrodiil.[i] The captain mused. "They're taking a beating though. Looks like the bastards employed a mage." Gorun added, hinting at the need to hurry.

"Blast.." gravious stated, his mind racing at how that could complicate things. He turned to face the prisoners, "if you're finished picking apart the dead. Then lets go." he insisted and then hurried the way Gorun had come. "Alright. The courtyard is large. But there is a side entrance maybe fourth or fifty metres away from the door. There isn't much cover so you'll have to stay on the move." he instructed as he walked up to the splintered remnants of a door. Sunlight shone through and the sounds of fighting were much louder here.

"Come on!" he shouted, in an effort to spur the prisoners on. Gorun was the first one out, his huge body leapt into the snow and pounded towards the side entrance in the tall red brick wall. "Go! Follow Gorun." he insisted, pushing a prisoner half out the door. "Go! Go! Go!"

O.c this was done on my new phone. So please do excuse any errors.

DoNashi

Just when he wanted to answer the dunmers question, the captain shouted, “Come on!”. The first one out was Gorun, the Orc. Snow was being lifted from the ground when he ran. "Go! Follow Gorun." He ordered while grabbing DoNashi and pushing him half out the door. The khajiit followed the orc as fast as he could and as best as he could. he heard the captain shout again, “Go!Go!Go!”.

Damn, running isn’t the best Idea with a broken arm and when underfed for days. And also that rotgut is kicking in, I think. Drinking on an empty stomach, should’ve known better.

After around ten meters they were noticed by the nord guards. In seconds arrows flew at them. Completely missing the orc he managed to dance around most of them only having caught one or two on his round shield. Immediately the effects of the rotgut were gone. Warm blood slowly ran down his arm. An arrow pierced through the shield and penetrated the only good arm left.

God, how much more will I have to take before I’m free?

Grinding his teeth on eachother, he managed to ignore all the pain he felt and tried to keep up with the Orc.

He cursed, “ghu, ghu, ghu, how much.. how much further is it?”

“Go, go, go!”

Ma’Kahdar ran out of the door at full pelt, following the Orc and the other Khajiit. She was about a meter behind them when the Nords noticed them and started firing. Most of the arrows either they stopped or she dodged but one grazed her face, and she saw DoNashi get hit in the arm.

“How much further is it?” she heard him ask.

“Don’t talk...run.” she replied.

Just then, as she wasn’t concentrating, an arrow hit her in the foot.

Either a poor shot, or a tactical genius. she thought, as she struggled to keep up the pace with the wound. The Khajiit didn’t have the time to pull it out, and for all she knew about the body, it may have hit an artery. Still, she limped as fast as she could, though she was dropping back.

Her feet gained a burning sensation as she struggled on through the snow.

I need to get some boots.

The captain gave the orders to retreat, and everyone ran out of the door as quickly as their abused bodies could carry them. Arwayn stayed as close as she could to the large orc Gorun, feeling the safest behind his large frame. She breathed heavily as she ran, her stomach getting sharp pains with each quick step. After a few yards, arrows started raining from the sky, as some of the remaining guards fired all they had to try to stop their attackers and the freed prisoners in their tracks. Arwayn used the amount that she gained from the potion to try to summon up a shield spell, looking around at her surroundings as she did so. Her original thought was to cast it upon herself but that idea changed when she witnessed the khajiit male and female both unfortunately get struck by an arrow each.

Donashi had been shot in the arm although she could not tell exactly where. She was relieved to see that the arrow did not slow him down though as he toughed out the pain and kept running. The female was not as luck however. One of the arrows struck in the foot which caused her speed to drop a good bit. Arwayn was still impressed however that the cat could still limp almost as fast as alot of humans could run.

Arwayn focused on the female and cast the shield spell onto her. the khajiit glowed with a white aura temporarily and Arwayn hoped that even though the spell was weak, it would assist in keeping much worse damage from getting to her. After she cast the magick spell, Arwayn felt a much sharper pain in her stomach and almost doubled over with the pain. she forced herself to keep moving however, trying to keep close to Gorun but she felt her vision starting to blur with exhaustion.

Marcus Percious

Marcus followed after the others running as fast as he could. Just keeping up with the wounded Khajiit. Another arrow flew past Marcus barely had time to deflect it with the Nordic broadsword. "We better reach our destination soon or else we will all become pincushions" he thought bitterly.

Nina froze as the male khajiit prisoner looked in her direction. As DoNashi turned back when the captain started yelling for them to move, Nina cocked her head to one side, wondering if he actually saw her. But now that the group was ready to run, as well as hearing that a mage might be outside Nina cursed silently. Even though no one else would see her, a mage skilled in illusion magics would be able to have a better idea of where someone invisible would be. Doesnt matter.. as long as i keep up i won't be spotted she thought to herself, glad that she was invisible now as the first prisoner was pushed out.

Immediately arrows began to fly from the walls above, and had already stuck two as everyone began to run out. The captain hadn't run out yet it seemed so as Nina moved past she lightly tapped the man on the pauldron and moved slightly away from the others, to avoid the line of fire. As the ground had been walked on quite a bit, her own footsteps weren't seen as easily. But this wouldn't stop someone with sharp vision to notice a blur moving in the courtyard, most importantly the hired mage if he was in range.

With the restore fatigue potion only been recently used, Nina would be able to move a little faster, but only for a short time. The potion had worked, but it was only of low potency so the imperial woman would have to exit the area that could spell out certain death if the group stayed for too long.

Laif Krawl

Cautiously approaching the group before they burst through the door, Laif caught a glimpse of the other prisoners. But, less than a second afterwards, he heard the word "Go!" and witnessed as they all anxiously burst through the door like a pack of frightened, dirty mice.

So these men in armor must have been the ones that bashed open the cell doors. It also seems this is where all the armor that was stripped from those corpses back there went to. I suppose it's for a better cause. I'd better follow them before I get left behind.

The imperial charged out into the courtyard with the other prisoners, slightly behind. His eyes teared up instantaneously and he was forced to squint and run blindly. Accursed sun! But as he finished this thought, he stopped in his tracks and stumbled onto the ground before him.

Dar'Ko

The "khajiit" opened his eyes slowly, wincing slightly at the pain from his previous night's beatings. But this pain was quickly forgotten, as he found himself outside of the cell and in some foreign area.

That damned Orc! He leaves this one here, ready to die, without any explanation!

After a few short seconds, Dar'Ko noticed arrows flying overheard. He was fortunate enough to be behind a few crates, though he doubted they would hold much longer. Scanning around, his vision focused on a group of individuals, some dressed similarly to himself, fleeing through the courtyard. A jailbreak! That's why Dar'Ko is out here! Regaining his footing, the imperial - who thought he was a khajiit - dashed from behind the crates after the other prisoners. He may have been beaten, but he was still in better shape than the ones with arrows sticking out of them. Before long he caught up, noticing two other khajiits amongst the group. Uncomfortable with the arrows flying within such a close distance of him, he ran up next to the female khajiit with an arrow in her foot.

"Here, lean on me my fellow khajiit," offered Dar'Ko, masking his cowardly use of another prisoner for cover with feigned concern for one of his own race.

ooc: EEEK! Sorry about yesterday folks, stuff came up. Today is going to be busy too, so i'll either post now or much, much later.

ic:

Gravious

Gravious was surprised at the number of arrows that fell their way, especially with the other blades in the area. I guess they got tired of shooting at armoured soldiers. he thought bitterly, "Blades! Retreat! Fall back!" He ordered to the trained warriors that were dotted around the courtyard, some fighting, some hiding and some were running around helping the wounded. All of them instantly began to make their way to the courtyard entrance, some of them carried friends, others ran to their allies for shield walls.

As Gravious was about to turn around to continue sprinting with the others, a bolt of lightning splashed against his armour, causing him to fall back into a pile of wooden crates. "[censored]!" He swore as the pain seared through him. He tried to get back to his feet, but everything stinged. Blasted mages. he grumbled as he tried to catch his breath. A soldier knelt by him and handed him a potion. "It's a restore potion sir, that mage has been hittin' us hard since you left. If only we had an assassin." The elderly argonian hissed.

If only. Gravious agreed and drank down the thick potion. He threw the flask away, he thanked the argonian and continued his sprinting, his shield raised to protect his face from arrows and his teeth grated against each other in hope that the mage wouldn't hit him again.

As Nina ran, a crackling noise made the assassin stop in her tracks. The mage was beginning to annoy her, not because it was attacking the others, but because she almost kept getting hit. Seems strange that they even considered hiring a mage... Oh well it won’t be alive for much longer she thought to herself, and the imperial woman now changed direction. Still being invisible she had more of an advantage than the other prisoners in terms of not getting shot, however if one actually paid attention she footprints could be seen occasionally on the patches of snow between the cobblestone of the courtyard.

But with all the commotion going on that would be less likely to happen, so the Assassin had an advantage as long as the mage didn’t pay attention to what was coming up to him. Nina had to take a wide arc around, so she would be able to get behind the mage. Better to be safe than sorry... she decided knowing that it would be best to ensure her target did not notice her until it was too late. She had seen the captain get thrown back from the lightning bolt that had whizzed past her, and it seemed to be a funny sight as he got what he deserved for leaving her in the cell.

Now in a position behind the mage, Nina sneaked slowly, watching all the arrows fly around her towards the others ahead of her. The mage seemed to be preoccupied in trying to recover before casting another spell... a weak point where Nina could strike. She would have to be quick and precise as she knew that in her state, she only had one shot at this. Soon the imperial was very close to the mage... she could hear the breathing of the exhausted mage. Now!

Grabbing the man from behind, the assassin lifted her dagger she had pilfered from the storage room, and sliced the man’s throat right over the artery. Blood sprayed from the wound, as the man futilely grabbed his throat to try and stop the bleeding... the crimson liquid painting the snow in its beautiful colour. Nina deactivated her ability and looked right over to the captain, winking at the man before moving off again as another rain of arrows began to fire at the very spot she had been mere seconds ago. Almost... there... I'm not going to be able to keep this up for much longer... She thought to herself as she moved quickly away from the bleeding mage, and towards the entrance everyone was going for. Now that she had used her ability for the day, she would have to use a spell next time to conceal herself.. if she had enough magicka (which wouldn't be likely from all they have been through).

Barrett, Escaping the Prison

Barrett hustled out the door behind the other prisoners, and was immediately met by arrows in his direction. He threw his hands up to protect his unarmored head and hustled through the compound. Luckily, he was able to dodge any arrows sent in his direction, but he noticed that the Khajiit weren’t so lucky, as both of them were hit by arrows. One took it in the arm, but kept on moving, while the other was hit in the foot, and was starting to fall back. Barrett cursed and considered doubling back to help her, but he noticed someone else beating him to it. Still guarding his head, he kept running through the compound …

Until a fireball hit near him and threw him off his feet. “Dammit!” he cursed, as he rolled back to his feet to avoid another fireball. A freaking mage. Of course. he thought as he quickly took cover behind some rubble and drew the sword he had taken off the dead guard. The balance was off on it, so he knew he would have to compensate by throwing it a bit higher than he normally would. “You’ve only got one shot at this, Barrett,” he muttered to himself before rolling out of his cover and taking aim at where the fireball had come from earlier. However, he was just in time to see the girl from the prison slit the mage’s throat, look at the Captain, and disappear.

Barrett frowned, but immediately started moving again with sword in hand. Arrows still rained down around him, but he was getting lucky, and nothing was hitting him. Well, either luck, or these archers are just horrible shots, he thought as he ran. However, right as he thought that, an arrow hit him in the left shoulder. He grunted, but immediately threw the sword at the archer several yards away, aiming above his head to allow for gravity. Whether through luck or skill, the blade arced perfectly through the air and stabbed the archer through the stomach. Barrett smiled and thought, Not bad. Not bad at all. Too bad I’ll probably never be able to do that again.

Despite the pain, Barrett gripped the arrow and pulled it out of his shoulder. He discarded it on the ground and kept running, trying to get to the exit as soon as possible.

OOC: sorry im taking so long to post

Vanas

GO GO GO!” blared into Vanas’s ears before the Khajit could answer. Everything began to move at once, a mass movement of bodies towards the exit of the prison. The fog of the concussion had lifted from the Dumner’s eyes, but his motions were still sluggish, and the bruises and cuts on his body burned and wretched as he ran.

All at once the prisoners reached the exit, and Vanas found himself in a snowy courtyard. A high stone wall stood above him, where Nords were raining deadly arrows down apon the blades and escaped prisoners. The group was caught in a bad place at a bad time- everywhere he looked he saw the chaotic rhythm of battle, dead or wounded soldiers, and dying, broken bodies.

Vanas clutched his longsword and dashed towards the exit, disregarding the others. His hands wove and intricate motion in the air, and his battered body was bathed in an eerie green light before seemingly vanishing from existence. The now invisible Dumner swiftly made his way to the exit.

OOC: For the record I have a pair of iron gauntlets and half a bread roll

A moment after the arrow hit her foot a string of white sparks shot towards her.

They have spells now?

Before she could shout out a warning to the others, the white sparks coiled around her, before shooting out by a foot. The glass-like surface of a shield formed between them. Glancing back Ma’Kahdar saw another prisoner double other for a second, and guessed that she had cast the spell.

“Thanks!” she tried to yell over the din of battle and panic.

She didn’t have to worry about arrows hitting her now, but she was unsure of how long the shield could hold out so she carried on limping, despite moving fast probably not being the best for her foot. Just then, another Khajiit, one she must have missed in the cells joined her and offered to help her. In no position to reject him she accepted his offer.

Just then, the creepy Imperial from the cells, who had tried to kill everything rematerialized. Ma’Kahdar let out a groan, but just then she killed an actual mage, who the Khajiit hadn’t noticed.

Nice to know she wants us to survive.

As the escaped prisoners made it somewhat safely out of the area that the archers were firing upon, Captain Gravius ordered the blades in the area to fall back, and everyone quickly started running through the court yard to finally make it out of the stronghold. Everyone's progress was cut short however when bolts of lightning and the occasional sparse fireball rained down from the sky. Arwayn quickly ducked behind some cover, cradling an arm over her sore stomach. The running was causing her completely empty stomach to churn violently and she let out loud gags as she dry-heaved on nothing but air. She stayed crouched, breathing tiredly and eyes darting about her surroundings. She began to pray to the gods that she could make it out of this situation alive and to her shock, before she even finished the prayer the lightning bolts that were storming down near here suddenly let up.

Arwayn slowly peaked her head up to assess the situation, and up on the wall arwayn could make out an odd blur starting to get darker and darker. The fact that her own vision was slightly blurry did not help matters but after a while she thought she could make out the silhouette of an unarmored female. Arwayn took the opportunity to pull herself back to her feet. She ran as quickly as her weakened legs could carry her and bolted with the others towards the exit, hoping that the gods would take pity upon them.

ooc: I'm going to slightly control your characters, it'll take us forever to post clambering onto the thing, so I'm just going to post that we all get onto it and the wagon begins it's way. (Shadow included) How you get onto it is up to you in your next post. But you are now all on the wagon things.

Gravious was at the side gate now, pushing everyone he could behind him, his shield raised to protect their backs, "Come on! Run!" He cried, his attention was suddenly taken away when he saw the enemies mage go down, blood squirting from his throat. By akatosh..? he asked confused but his answer came in the form of the small woman he had left behind. Anger, disapointment and a huge amount of confusion flooded his mind only to be pushed to the back for later. She had probably saved some of their lives - And for that, she deserved the same response.

He was knocked out of his dreamstate when Gorun rushed to his side and began to pull his captain away from the entrance. As Gravious quickly looked around, he saw everyone mounting the caravan wagon, including the mage killer. He shot her a strange glance, he wasn't sure if he was glad to see her alive or hated her more now. Gravious lept atop his own horse, a powerful steed and was joined by other cavalry. He nodded to Gorun who began to shout out orders to the front of the caravan. Swiftly the well protected wagons began to move, they were pulled along by four black horses, the ride was easy enough for them - The ground was half frozen and the roads were mostly dirt.

"We did it! Haha!" Gorun laughed, his hand clapped the Captains shoulder who was nearly thrown off his horse by the unexpected gesture. Gorun only laughed harder at this and joined the soldiers at the front. Gravious simply trotted to the back of the caravan, to the wagon occupied by the prisoners. He looked in and could feel the warmth coming from it. It was densly packed by animal furs, mostly bear or wolf. The ceiling was a mix of thick leather, metal chains and fur. He smiled to them, his eyes avoiding the assassin. "Food is being prepared, but it wont be for some hours. We can't stop now because they're probably still on our tail." He told them, he took off his helmet and let the cool breeze dry the sweat off his brow. "There is some bread and water in the back of the wagon though. Be sensible. You're probably going to throw up if you eat too quickly." He smiled slightly to raise his mood. "I'll leave you to it, I'll be back in a few minutes to check up on you." He added before speeding his horse up so he could get to the front of the convoy.

As he rode to the top of the pack, he unfolded a piece of cloth. The writing could still be seen but it was coded and Gravious couldn't make any sense of it. He took out his journal and began to trace it, he took care with the charcoal in his hands so that he didn't mess it up. Afterall it could've been a symbol language. It should've been my mission.

Nina had jumped up onto the wagon minutes later after taking down the mage, taking the back of the wagon so she could have her back on the wooden wall. Just looking at the glance the captain gave her was enough to make her laugh inside at the man. He didn't know what to do with her, and for tha tshe was safe for now. But i will need to try and escape from these people as soon as possible... Unless they do not know me, then hiding amongst the enemy in plain sight might be a smarter move she thought to herself trying to decide what to do now that they had all finally left the prison.

The imperial woman did not know how the others would react to her being there again, but she didn't care in the slightest what they thought. She had her bloodlust sated for now, and it felt good. The dagger was still in her hand, but it was fairly useless. It was lucky that it even cut the mage's throat because of its condition, so Nina simply stuck it into the wall next to her.. It would be pointless to continue using such a useless blade.

Laying a few fur over herself, Nina decided to take a little nap.. after all all that work on such an exhausted body, one that has been strained and not able to walk around had left her with little energy. When i have recovered more.. i will have to start training again.. I have gotten too rusty and i could have died if i wasn't lucky she thought bitterly to herself, disgusted that she had not been able to escape sooner. But she knew that now all this was over, she would need to report her findings to the brotherhood.. or at least of her survival.

Finally inside the safety and warmth of the rescue caravan, Arwayn slowly massaged her growling stomach and looked around her surroundings. Each of the prisoners had made it alive including the Imperial woman Nina. Arwayn smiled thankfully by this fact and rested her head back against her seat. She sat silently as the horses pulled the caravans along the snowy roads until captain Gravius suddenly pulled the curtain open while it continued on. "Food is being prepared, but it wont be for some hours. We can't stop now because they're probably still on our tail. There is some bread and water in the back of the wagon though. Be sensible. You're probably going to throw up if you eat too quickly." He smiled slightly to raise his mood. "I'll leave you to it, I'll be back in a few minutes to check up on you."

As soon as the captain mentioned food Arwayn quickly turned around and dug into the food bin. Seeing the loafs of bread she grabbed one and broke it in half, giving one half to whoever was next to her. She bit into the piece of bread and slowly chewed it, closing her eyes to enjoy the soft food in her mouth. Swallowing it down she took another bite and watched as the captain trotted off. After a few minutes she finished most of the bread and ssat the rest in her lap. She looked over at the female Khajiit and smiled at her. "How is your leg feeling?"
