I just completed The Blessing of Nature, which is a quest where you have to retrieve some sap from the Eldergleam tree to bring life back to the Gildergreen tree. I finished it before and retrieved the sap, killing everybody in the cave who worshiped the tree. Today I just realized there is an alternative. Maurice would offer to pray and ask the tree for a gift, which gives you a tiny sappling. It felt good not to hurt the tree I guess, but retrieving the sap for the Gildergreen tree felt much more rewarding, because you can actually see the tree revive itself again.

What did you guys do to end this quest? Retrieve the sap, or give Danica the sappling?

I give Danica the sapling since rhe sap is bugged on consoles.

The sap isn't bugged on console. I played the mission on Xbox360 and giving her the sap gives the tree life again

You can see the sapling after a while too, it's just hard to see because the game doesn't remove the old Gildergreen, so the new one is inside of the it.

So what would you choose?

The Sapling. I picked the sap at first to see what the restored tree would look like, but reloaded afterwards since it didn't feel like the right choice to me.
