The Bloodred Moon

Isaac grabbed the newcomer's wrist, howls heard in the distance. His fangs were very visible as he was gritting his teeth, but he cared not at the moment. The only thing that was important was not becoming another dead member of the Nighthallow clan.

Ocrandas Howled in pain. Furious Ocrandas jumped off the tree and onto the Imperial. Ocrandas slashed his arm and turned his attention back to the John.

OOC: I edited that out before, so I missed. You're not injured... yet.

John jumped off the tree on to wolf. Tackling it from the air. On top of the wolf he got ready to plunge his sword into it.

Barius watched as the tackled wolf was about to be killed by the Nord. Ready to assist, he dropped the bow and redrew his sword. He pressed it against the werewolf's neck.

There was no time, the fight had turned again. Barius couldn't let the werewolf kill the Nord. He brought outt his last weapon, the warhammer, and swung at the werewolf's head. However, he screwed up, put little power into the swing, and only nipped the wolf's head. The wolf nonetheless fell to the ground. Barius felt for a pulse. "He's just paralyzed, my warhammer does that. Come on, we've got to get back to the fortress before he reawakes!"

OOC: Got it, dert33. I think I found a solution, right here.

''Why don't you kill the wolf? Do dead wolves attract the pack or something??'' asked John as he followed the stranger. ''Anyways thanks for saving my ass.''

"I'd kill the wolf, but he deserves worse. I've got an idea." Barius grabbed a stump and sat it upright. Then he grabbed the werewolf and tied a noose around his head, and tied the other end to a nearby branch. He lifted up the werewolf and sat him upright on the stump. "If he tries to move, He'll hang himself. Let's get back to Skaal's Fortress" he then said. The two got on the horse and rode back to the fortress.

OOC: Trying to fulfill dert33's wish to not die. If he tries to kill one of us again, let the casualties come for both sides.

Dante pulled the man up making sure his feet were on the ledge before making a final pull to get him away. After the man was safely up with him Dante looked back at the beasts and then to the breton. His hands now rested on the hilts of his blades. "You shouldn't be out an wondering around with these things everywhere. Its suicide!" Dante spat out pulling his scarf from his face.

As they were riding back, Barius noticed a scratch on his arm. This can't be good, he thought. But before he could ask,John offered him a potion. Thankfully, he took a sip and gave it back to him. Barius and John arrived back at the fortress and dismounted, and were quick to relock the door and speak to Hakkate. "Ahh, you saved the Nord, but what about the Dunmer? No matter. We've got the refugees covering the walls, this place is safe for now," The two breathed out a sigh of relief.

As he rode on the horse John. Felt a pain across his ribs were the wolf must have scratched him there. Was he infected? John quickly chugged down a potion of cure disease.
John held up a potion to Barius. ''Were you scratched or bit? Drink this.''

Isaac looked to the werewolfs running to the north, "Perhaps we can give the safety lesson later. We need to get out of here before they get out of there." he says, turning, beggining to run in the western direction.

OOC: Wow, this is moving REALLY fast! I would have helped but... that escalated quite quickly.

IC:

Endreg and his men were sitting around the fire when John left. As soon as the cry for help was heard, all of the men were on their feet, ready to kill. However, three werewolves had been stalking the group, and they had just found the right moment to pounce. One wolf attacked, and then the other two followed. "Gahhh, help!" cried one of the men, followed by a warhammer crashing into the wolfs skull, but the man had been bitten, so he pulled out a silver dagger and dug it into his heart.

The other 2 wolves beset themselves on the remaining nine. They stood no chance, after a few minutes of swords flying and arrows piercing wolf flesh, the group heard the commotion coming from not far off. When they arrived, they saw a werewolf, hanging by a noose on a tree, Endreg was dumbfounded. "Dunmer!" and Endreg swung his sword. But he stopped, the wolf was struggling, but there was something in his eyes, beyond the terror and bloodlust.

Endreg pulled out a silver dagger, laced with monkshood, and he sliced the wolfs leg with it, "That will make you change back into a human form, in about ten minutes, come to Skaal's Burrow then." Endreg noticed the footsteps in the snow, they were heading for Skaal's Burrow, "Lets find our friend shall we!" But there were two sets, strange, Or perhaps, friends. And the bunch ran off to the wood and stone fortress.

When they arrived, Endreg unlocked the small gate, and trudged inside. Inside, the torches along the walls flickered, as the moon cast a shadow on the people he saw. His wife, John, and another. "Well I see you've all made acquaintances, Hekkate, we'll be having a visitor soon... another visitor that is. You two, get into the main building and see if you can find something to eat, and somewhere to sleep. Hekkate, anymore news?"

After given some time to calm down, Barius eventually got out of his chair and walked into the courtyard. He said to Hakkate, "I bet you're wondering why I have come. Tell the refugees to get here in a minute. Barius went back into the building to think out his speech as the refugees mustered together in the Burrow. Barius then walked out and began. "I am part of the few survivors f the Anvil attack. The clan that attacked your people earlier is the same clan that attacked Anvil, except we got 2 times as much. We..." he paused in surprise as a battle-word Nord with a couple of friends walked through the gate. They looked as surprised as Barius was. "...were stranded in the lighthouse as werewolves ran wild in the Anvil docks, willing every last human they found. Eventually we attacked, and we were very successful. Anvil was purged of the werewolves. Then when I began to leave for here since I heard that there may be survivors here, they (we) began to repair a boat for ferrying people between Anvil and Summerset Isles. I am here to ask you all: Who wishes to go back with me tomorrow and set off for the Summerset Isles? You can refuel, get new supplies and people, and come back if you want to. It is pretty much a great deal all round. So I ask one more time: Who wishes to come back with me to Anvil?

OOC: speak up if you're interested, if you don't say anything I'll assume you don't want to come.

To Sparda. I am going to have my char go on ahead, but will proudly rp with you anytime you wish. I just like to keep rping. ))

Isaac dashed through the mountains for two hours, until he could not hear the wolves. He sighed, looking at the Bloodmoon. Its glow seemed to have gone off him, toward the east. He let out a snarl.

So, you know do you? he thought to himself, beginning to run once more, not wasting a second. He ran, ran, until at last he came at a cliff's edge, his vampric eyes gazing out at the night. How long had it been since he left his cave? Many hours, Isaac knew, to many perhaps. He looked toward the south, seeing a small amount of blue.

This won't do at all Isaac. We need to get there before he does... but how? he sighed, scanning the mountain for any caves he could hide in when day came. Then, he stopped, a thought coming to him. We could... no. To dangerous. But what other choice to do we have?

Isaac sighed, beggining to walk toward a more northeastern direction.

"What choice have I ever had?" he said to himself.

Barius looked across the crowd, and saw around 5 refugees and John raise their hands. "Very well. Ready yourselves. We leave in the morning, which is only a few hours away. If any of you reconsider, let me know. I'll be sleeping out the remnant of the night." With that, Barius collapsed to the ground right where he was, and fell to sleep.

Endreg watched as the man gave his speech, and he saw John and 4 of other refugees raise their hands, Anvil, by the nine I thought it was gone thought Endreg. The one known as, Barius, ended the speech and went to sleep. Dawn was indeed nearing, and Endreg thought it would be nice to get a hardy bowl of stew before sleep, he also missed his wife. "Balgrum!" Endreg called out, a burly Orc in orcish armor came to his side, "Aye, Endreg?" "I want you to send 10 of your men to guard Barius and John, all the way to Anvil, we are all survivors after all." "Aye sir, they will be ready."

As Endreg entered the Great Hall, Skaal's Room, he saw a lone Khajiit, "Who are you?" asked Endreg.

One hour later, Isaac found himself standing outside a Aylied ruin. Well rather, the outside of a Aylied Ruin. He began to walk toward the entrance, which was carved into the mountain.

If this doesnt work.. well if it doesnt work, then we are dead. he thought to himself, nearing the door. He set his hand in the middle, the door glowing before sliding open. Isaac turned, looking to the south again. A small amount of sunlight beamed against his face, burnt skin rising in the air. Isaac backed into the dark hall, pushing a lever to make the door close. He slowly turned, to face a long dark hall.

"Well. We have to begin at some point" he said to himself, beggining to walk.

Barius was awoken by John in the morning. "Come on now, let's go! Oh, and by the way, Endreg has kindly offered 10 guards to help assist us,".

"That's great! Tell him I will leave him my horse in thanks, I have no use of it if we are travelling in such a large group,". John ran off to inform Endreg. Hakkate then walked over with a warm plate of venison and offered it to him. "Thank you Hakkate," For a moment Barius thought about sticking around. But no, what must be done must be done. He ate his venison, put on his weapons and armor, and met the small crowd awaiting him at the gates. He turned to Endreg and said, "Thank you for your hospitality" and then, "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go," he said, and walked to the front of the crowd and onward to the road in the southwest, with them following him.

"Who are you?"

Amata turned to look at Endreg curiously. Perhaps he is the Skaal clan leader?

"My name is Ma'Amata, I've come to seek refuge. I was told to wait in here," She replied. "I've come from the safe haven about fifteen miles northwest of here. It has fallen to the wolves."

Amata tilted her head and looked up at the ceiling as she reflected on the past events.

"It was an unusually large attack. It looks like the werewolves are growing more and more intelligent. They weren't hunting in a pack, they were hunting in a much larger group. It was also unusual that they would attack such a large settlement. I've only seen this once before." She said as she turned her head to look at him.

IC:

"Unusual indeed, Ma'Amata. I'm glad you made it here, and safely at that. I'd heard of a settlement falling, I'm sorry for your loss, as for the pack... I too have heard of this, but only recently. It seems our friends in Anvil have had a similar problem, the pack you speak of was once almost the entire population of the Imperial City." Endreg looked away, out the window at the Bloodmoon, "But listen, we're both very tired, you need rest and Azura knows I do too, get something to eat from the pantry and sleep in the quarters just down that left hall, we'll speak more in the morning." Endreg bowed and went to his quarters, and his wife.

That morning, Endreg woke up refreshed, the first good night's sleep he'd gotten all week. Endreg pulled on his armor and sword but decided to leave his javelins, he walked down the staircase, got a mug of hot soup, and went into the courtyard. The cold wind bit his nose, and there was a slight snowfall, he looked at the high wood and stone walls, the small campfires that refugees sat around, and the small hovels in which they lived. Skaal's Burrow was rather big, if you saw it in the daylight. Endreg walked over to a campfire where his men sat and the began to talk.

Barius came over and thanked him for the assistance, then the man got the group and began to move. After a short while, the gates opened, and wouldn't you know it, the Dunmer stepped through, Ocrandas. "John and Barius have left for Anvil with a small contingent of my men. I cut you with a dagger laced with a Wolfsbane solvent to keep you from turning for the next few days."

Endreg stood up and looked the Dunmer in the eyes, "You will be watched, treachery isn't taken lightly. However, I will help to cure you. Back on Solstheim, witches knew the cure, a refugee here was one of them, I suggest you find her. Now please, leave me to my fire and my soup." Endreg sat down, and went back to his friends and soup.
