Story Background:
Andridgeville is a town with a bloody past. It's long life began when a group of raiders used this upper D.C. settlement as a base of operations. Nearby super mutants ravaged the town, killing all but one raider. The final raider escaped, and soon changed his ways. He returned years later, bringing with him a family of his own, as well as desperate wastelanders seeking shelter. They rigorously defended against the mutants, and eventually claimed the settlement as their own. Decades passed, and soon it was the year 2282. Andridgeville had grown, and become a successful post-war town, like Megaton or Rivet City. But Talon Company had been lurking around, killing off the villagers and taking their things. Once again Andridgeville had to fight for it's lives. This time, they lost. Talon Company slaughtered the town, and ransacked the place. Another decade passed. Soon Super Mutants had once again infested the area. Talon Company still prowled the area, to salvage what they can and ambush wastelanders when the opportunity arose. In 2297, a group of travelers set off from the destroyed wreckage of Megaton (which had been attacked by the Enclave for treason against the remnant government) and into the wasteland.
It took them weeks, but soon they reached the Canyon of the Lost, a landmark just outside of Andridgeville. They will soon be arriving, but they will unfortunately discover the town infested with Super Mutants, and patrolled by stealthy Talon Company mercenaries.

[The following is my character sheet]
Name: Jack Harding
Age: 39
Gender: Male
Appearance: Jack is thin, but has a heavy-set chin, and a thick goatee. He has bold brown eyes, and thick but short hair of the same color. He looks awfully old for his age, and he has a bad knee. He walks with a terrible limp, and often has back troubles. But that doesn't stop him from keeping on. Jack Harding is of average height, and weighs close to 140 pounds.
Skills: Knowledge of Most Firearms, however not so good at using them, Good prowess with technology, great at making repairs on just about anything, and very skilled with unarmed combat, as he took a fighting class when he lived in a settlement near Rivet City.
Personality: Jack is wise and quick witted, very intelligent and he has a lot of common sense. He rarely takes chances, preferring to take things easy or think things out thoroughly, thus making him very anti-impulsive. Jack doesn't trust others, the only thing he has ever trusted was his old dog, Willow, who died several years ago. Jack may not trust others easily, but if he DOES befriend them, he is loyal even if it means it puts him in harm.
Background: Jack was apart of a group of Megaton settlers who survived it's massacre against a group of Enclave patrolmen. He left his group behind, to scout ahead on his own initiative. Jack comes from a poor household, where he could barely afford food and supplies for him and his dog. He usually survives off of gathering supplies in the wasteland. Living alone in the wasteland as a child, constantly near danger, has taught him to never trust others, and always go alone. But finding a true friend could very well change his views.
Weapons: An old, rusted .32 Revolver with four shots, a combat knife, and several homemade pipe bombs

Jack Harding stood atop a scarred, burnt hill, looking down on a destroyed section of upper D.C. A light rain began to fall, as the clouds above shifted, revealing a beautiful, golden horizon. Jack sighed. Such breathtaking heavens above, marred by the horrific wastelands below. The dark clouds were a grim contrast to the bright sky, that sent rays of light, almost as if beams of hope, down into the city. But hope was not an easy thing to feel in such a desperate society. Jack stared, silently and still, into the thundering heavens overhead. Lightning, transformed by the radiated atmosphere, spiraled across the sky. Jack sighed again, and began a trek down the hill, towards the city. A large sign, weathered with age, stood near the cluster of broken down apartment complexes. It was difficult to read, but it clearly said "Andridgeville".
Jack passed the sign, and walked past the demolished community center, a library, and several buildings that had been split in half by the sheer power of nuclear winds. He was searching for shelter in this destroyed world, a place he could call home, or at least stay in until it was safe to venture back out into the wastelands. But that would never be true. It was never a safe place in this mad, mad world. Jack struggled to keep lying to himself that it was. He was never truly convinced.
The wastelander entered a ravaged hotel, and walked up the broken stairs. He plopped down on a rickety old bed, and laid down. As his eyes narrowed, and his thoughts drifted, something stirred outside: and it wasn't the sky. A hulking creature lumbered down the streets, it's massive orange arms swaying back and forth. It carried a long stick of concrete, that ending in a fire hydrant, as if it had been torn from the ground. By the time Jack realized something was happening, the behemoth's weapon had slammed into the hotel. The walls shook with tremendous force, and Jack was tossed violently from the bed. He reached for his gun, a .32 revolver. It's sights and metal components had rusted with age, and the leather grip had become jagged and worn, but it still operated. He flicked the 6-round chamber open, checking his ammunition. Four rounds. Things seemed pretty hopeless by the time the giant's hydrant crashed through the window, showering Jack in broken glass.
