The Bow, Hackusations and more

Below is a transcription of (most) of the script I used for the new vid. There's an apology in there for those of you who feel I've been a jerk. Yeah, that's right; I am, indeed, man enough to publicly apologize to any I've wronged and leave video evidence on youtube. I hope you enjoy the vid!

*** At the time of this posting, the video is still uploading and I'm gonna be late for work if I don't haul booty. Deuces!***

Okay, so here's the deal:
Everybody complains about "campers". Well, tough titties; because that's what snipers do: they camp. Since using the bow is equivalent to mid-range sniping, bow users tend to camp. Don't like it? Then you have two options:
1. Out snipe the sniper. Or
2. Find that camping bastard, out-sneak him, then shoot him in the face. This happens to me. Frequently. It's why I usually try to follow sniping rule #1: Fire and displace. That means take a shot, maybe two, then check your surroundings and move your ass.

If you keep getting owned by a camping sniper, then it may be that he or she is just that good. Or it may be that you are making the serious mistake of not considering them a threat. Either way, that's your fault. Not the camper's. Stop your whining and shoot the bastard. At this point, I'm cringing a bit because I know this means people will be gunning for me even harder. Oh well, it'll either make me a better player (the most likely outcome) or I'll give up <-- This is excessively unlikely.

For eveyone biching about the bow being broken: Let's clarify a few things:
1. The bow is unaffected by any module. Period. No ADS Enhance, no weapon pro, no rapid fire; nothing. All those broken modules you all love using? Yeah, they're useless with the bow. Thanks for trolling though.
2. The bow has the longest firing interval of any weapon in the game. This is self explanatory.
3. The bow is the only weapon in this game with damage fall off. Granted, this damage fall off is only in relation to how much draw you actually put on it before releasing the arrow, it still comes down to the same thing: If you want to do the maximum damage with the bow, you must wait the extra time for a full draw.
4. Finally, the bow is useless in CQC situations. If you are using a bow and find yourself CQC'ing, you're probably going to die.

It is these 4 primary things that make the bow the toughest weapon to use effectively in this game. You'll find that most players who do well with it also play with it a significant portion of their game time. You'll also find that bow users tend to do fairly well with every weapon that isn't a bow because of the lessened time it takes to fire additional rounds and deal extra damage. On to the next point...

Hackusations, usually in the form of vote-kicks, are too often leveled against players who do really well in this game. That's most likely because the game, as it stands, has some excessively broken modules that make it look like a person is cheating even when they're playing straight (as evidenced by this video). I have, to my shame, leveled a few myself. While it's true that there are a few hackers (I ran into an Honest-to-God Aimbotter a few days ago), mostly it's just people raging. Let this video stand as an apology to those I've wrongfully accused. Know that my rage has met its end. Hopefully, yours will too.

Happy Hunting!
