» Fri May 13, 2011 3:26 pm After the events of Project Purity the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood of Steel raided Vault 87 and hunted the rest of the Super Mutants and Enclave remnants. They did this for six years, most had gone far east or to the East, according to Brotherhood Scouts. The Brotherhood of Steel decided not to chase after the remnants and instead focus on fixing the Capital Wasteland, so they initiated the Hope Campaign. The Hope Campaign was the Capital Wasteland biggest campaign since the Enclave, the Hope campaign was to bring a pure government to the Capital Wasteland so the Brotherhood sent out messengers to all of the Capital Wasteland factions except raider gangs. At the beginning of the Hope Campaign the Brotherhood announced that D.C. was now "The Land of Steel" at first people took this as an insult, Megaton turned hostile and fought the Brotherhood, eventually the Brotherhood backed off and attacked Super Duper Mart and turned it into a the Super Duper Outpost. Eventually the Evergreen Mills Raiders led a huge assault on Megaton, an assault that involved several missile launchers, and a Fat Man. The Evergreen Mills Raiders got into Megaton and the Brotherhood sent most of there men to Megaton to defend it, within two hours Megaton was completely safe and had minimum casualties. Megaton then accepted to becoming a part of The Land of Steel, they were maid into the Land of Steels first city, Megaton. Rivet City immediately accepted the Brotherhoods offer, within a month there was a major decrease in crime in Rivet City due to the several Brotherhood Guards. Rivet City was then made into the Capital of the Land of Steel, this angered Megaton and lead to a three minute riot. When the Paladin set a rioter on fire people knew to stop rioting. It was controversial and lead to the Paladin being exiled. That Paladin later became Mayor of Megaton.
Now that the two largest settlements in the wasteland had accepted becoming apart of the Brotherhood's new state the Brotherhood started a recruitment campaign, nearly all of the Rivet City security force joined the Brotherhood of Steel and Rivet City security guards forced captured criminals to become apart of the Brotherhood of Steel because there training is like boot camp. Not many Megaton citizens joined the Brotherhood but strangely most of the Megaton citizens that joined the Brotherhood were females, seventeen exactly.
In the year 2293 the Brotherhood launched a war against the Talon Company. It was a brutal war that lasted for a year and a half, nearing the end of the war the Paradise Falls slavers attacked the Brotherhood, so once the Talon Company was gone the Brotherhood attacked the Paradise Falls Slavers, this battle was much shorter, lasting only five months. The Brotherhood killed most of the Talon Company and Paradise Falls slavers but the survivors were imprisoned in the newly made Paradise Falls Jail. After this happened all of the Capital Wasteland quickly accepted the Brotherhoods annexation. But there was a problem with getting the Raiders out of D.C. but it happened. D.C was made into a city of The Land of Steel. It took a while but the raiders were eventually neutralized, settlements quickly built around the river, most of them would turn into water hubs, Caravans delivered water to every settlement weekly. All caravans were guarded and the constant routes covered most of the wasteland so it was constant peace, no one was stupid enough to attack that many Brotherhood Soldiers.
In 2298 the Brotherhood sent several scouts east and west, in the west a group called Caesar Legion was in control of California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. From what the Brotherhood could tell the rules were lethally enforced but were realistic to follow, the rules seemed to make the society act in a certain way that was very medieval, they noticed that there were no guns in Legion territory, no citizens had them and no Legionaries had them. They sent an undercover scribe into the Legion territory and he learned a lot, when he asked about guns people would ask what they were. The scribe came to the immediate conclusion they had destroyed them or hid them, the scribe realized they got rid of the guns to make things easier to defend, one of the rules in Legion territory was no weapons on citizens. The Brotherhood decided to leave the Legion alone. The Scouts in the East found random settlements in random states, the Brotherhood contacted as many as the could, the ones that accepted annexation were guarded by Brotherhood members. The Brotherhood also came into contact with the Commonwealth, the Commonwealth accepted annexation after three hundred Power Armored Brotherhood Soldiers showed up a there doorstep.
In 2310 the Brotherhood discovered New York, it had a massive population, at least fifteen thousand. But it had no leader, it was mainly just a place were people lived and traded. But in Manhattan it was complete hell, Raiders were all over the place. There was no towns just collected raider gangs, it was a constant war in Manhattan and it was spreading into the surrounding burroughs. Not wanting to just accept annexation New York decided to make the Brotherhood eliminate the raider threat in Manhattan and get rid of the crime in the rest of New York in order for them to accept annexation. The Brotherhood accepted and launched the Manhattan Project. It has been a year since the Brotherhood launched the Manhattan Project, they have just successfully established there first Manhattan outpost in West Village. The Brotherhood is ready to take on the rest of the raiders in Manhattan, and to find out more about the mysterious Liberty Island.
