The Burned Man

Post » Thu Feb 11, 2010 5:15 pm

so i was thinking about honest hearts today for some reason, and imagined meeting the burned man, then it hit me, maybe the legion slaved are just [censored]! what if its all just a story, and all of honest hearts leads up to us seeing a skeleton at the bottom of the grand canyon covered in tar... that would make me sad.. :(

What if being a former missionary, he had started a congregation of Riverlurks in the Colorado?

I believe he is in New Canaan and he is walking, meaning he is alive. I don't really know how a dlc can revolve around Joshua Graham if he is dead, but your guess is as good as mine

Maybe Ulysses is posing as him, and we only find out in the end.

He's dead (someone had to pick the other option :P)...and he'll give us a quest. Or his corpse will, at least. Either through the mere discovery of said husk, or some note left behind.

He's almost certainly still alive as he was going to be a companion in Van Buren.

If hes not a companion then I am going to crucify everyone working at Obsidian... friggin NCR lovers...

EDIT: If anyone is offended by the threating of crucifying Obsidian its a joke, Obsidian made a great game, except for the fact the Legion was treated like a rotten skunk corpse with poop on it.

I think he'll be alive and either be like Father Elija and give us the Main Quests or he'll be a companion. If he gives all of the main quests than I hope it isn't linear and we can explore and get quests from others.

DLC is in Utah, probably won't be near Grand Canyon anyway. :whistling:
Yeah I hope he's a companion, but if he just handed out quests (IN PERSON) I wouldn't complain.

dosnt mean [censored]. but i hope your right.... i hope they don't trick us into thinking he's alive throughout the dlc then at the end its like "dun dun dun, he's dead" like it starts with "ohh im the burned man, im speaking to you through this speaker because my body is all [censored] up and i cant walk" then you find out that its some refuged legion slave posing as the burned man to give other slaved hope, and he put the spray pain around..... god help bethesda if thats what honest hearts is like, GOD HELP BETHESDA. :swear:

Just because he was thrown in there doesn't mean he has to stay. New Canaan is his hometown.

or maybe he was an android... think about it, it would hurt him bad but eventually (as in after a mission or two probably involving him getting better) he could be your companion

I personally hope hes a rotting corpse at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. If he's pro-Legion and alive ill give him a present from the rangers in the form of a 50. Cal to the face, that is unless hes related to a quest but after BOOM! If he's pro-NCR he's good in my book as long as he isn't a jerk like

Even though I do not identify with the Legion I do hope that during our travels to the where the Burned Man is we can pick up a Legion companion.

Whether or not he's pro Legion or not, he definitely won't be pro NCR. Its their fault he failed in the first place.

Personally I don't see him hating the Legion as a whole, but I think he'll be more than a little ticked off with Caesar. Maybe he has plans to kill and replace Caesar/Lanius? He was one of the founding members of the Legion, and supposedly stronger than Lanius, so I could see Lucius and anyone else lower in ranks obeying him should Caesar and Lanius die.
