The Capital Wasteland (IC)

OOC: Alright you guys this is my last important post before thread two. This will change some things in the Capital Wasteland.

John Shepard

John sat in a chair in a room alone, suddenly the door opened and an Enclave Officer entered, John stood up from the chair and greeted the officer.

"Hello."

"Hello Shepard, it has come to the Enclaves attention that the Company recently allied with the Paradise Falls slaver company."

"Yeah what about it?"

"The Enclave does not wish to do business with slavers."

"But assassins and ruthless mercenaries are okay?"

"Yes actually."

"Alright so what do you want me to do about it."

"Nothing the Enclave has already taken care of it."

"What do you mean?"

"You will find out."

Meanwhile at Paradise Falls.....

Ten Enclave Soldiers gathered outside of Paradise Falls, a Vertibird was beside them. Three soldiers had missile launchers and boarded the Vertibird, the pilot took off and got high in the sky making a perfect vantage point for the missile launchers to hit the Falls. The Soldiers shot the missiles at the falls and huge explosions followed, one of the three barracks crumbled to the ground and a crowd of slavers fell down dead. When this happened the other seven soldiers attacked the Falls from the only entrance, the long road into Falls quickly filled with dead slavers. In the Falls one of the slavers grabbed a missile launcher of there own and aimed it at the Vertibirds propeller blades the missile hit and caused the Vertibird to go crashing to the ground, the same slaver than aimed his missile launcher at the entrance after hearing several gunshots, when the gate opened he saw power armored troops and instantly thought Brotherhood of Steel, the slaver shot the missile at the entrance and the Enclave soldiers where hit, all of them died. The slaver turned his attention to the places where the missiles hit, at least thirty slavers where dead.

"It was the Brotherhood! The Brotherhood of Steel did this!" yelled the slaver! Suddenly the remaining slavers broke into violent yelling and BoS bashing.

The Programmer gave off a grunt as he kicked one of the seven monitors he had setup in his room. The lights clicked on as he began to boot it up, looking to the largest monitor he could find and had placed in the center of the room.

"Just a few more hours, then we will see what you have been up to, Enclave scum." Vatris looked to a large amountt of radios he had the Mr.Handy scavenge from empty rooms in the tower. "Now then.. let's get myself a signal in her." He grabbed his briefcase, going to them and examing a few.

"Good evening sir, " his Mr.Handy said as it floated into the room, "How goes your day?"

"Crap. From now on, your name is going to be Tom, got that bolt bucket?"

"Very well sir," the machine floated to Vatris's side, setting a small flyer he held in his claw down, "A courier brought this in sir. It says that Tthe Talon Companies leader has been assassinated. Grim news indeed."

"Like I care. Its The Enclave im worried about. Every second I spend setting up this station is a second I could of obtained info on them... Tom?" Vatris pulled a antenna out of a radio, lookking it over.

"Yes sir?" The Mr.Handy was beginning to float out of the room, no doubt to clean the halls of any dust it could find.

"Tell Mieux that his Programmer will be ready to operatte in a few hours. And if we are lucky, I can get us a signal that will help us obtain details on the wastelands newest resident."

Mark

"That would be $12.00 for the map and $7.00 for the 'I love D.C' mug. So, $19.00 total." the old bearded souvenir dealer of an old abandoned shack near the entrance to a dust lot said, grinning up at Mark and Dirty Mary. She groaned at took some caps from her pockets. When the dealer saw them, he shouted louder than the sound of a gun being fired, but not as sharp.

"NO! We don't accept none of those silly little worthless red things all you waste landers carry round', trying to make a fool of yourselves trying to buy big things with those little worth-" the poor old man had annoyed Mary a little too much, and that day he got a spoonful of lead for a snack. Mark searched the man and found a dagger carved from a sharp tooth.

"This got any value?" he held up the dagger to show Mary. She grinned from ear to ear and grabbed the item quicker than a bullet. She examined it carefully, just to make sure it was what she thought it was. It was.

"This thing could be traded for gold, Mark. Heh, heh, looks like some unlucky soul came along here a little while back and got this dagger stolen from them. When we get to Paradise Falls, we'll sell this baby, and the looks on their faces! Oh boy!" Mark hadn't seen Dirty Mary happy since he met her, and he bet no one had, so he declared himself lucky to see such a rare event. "But, there's one thing. You can't use this at all, or the value drops to 0 forever. No one likes some stranger's blood on their knife. Unless they're planning to use it, of course. But everyone out here uses rifles, only know two people who used daggers, and they're dead now.!" Mary laughed and I exchanged a look with her.

Hours had past since the death of the man, but both Mark and Mary had forgotten about him entirely. In the distance were flames in the air and the scream of hurt slavers and the cries of slaves that made Mark's heart sink to the bottom of his feet.

Harry Mason-His Office-Early Morning:

Harry walked into his office with a cup of coffee in one hand, and a clipboard in the other, he turned on the radio, and listened to the early morning talk show.

"That's right Kim, Megaton is now housing the former assassin, John Maston, on the grounds he will not commit any acts against the town." said one of the talk show hosts

"That's great to know Jon, we just got reports that Kallaran Caravan income is up by 10% and Canterbury is down by 20%" said Kim

"YAHOO!" cheered Harry, he knew with that news, people would continue to buy from his caravan. He looked outside and saw the lights of the town swaying on their posts, he saw the mud streets with puddles and fog setting in, he looked at the clock

4:30 AM

"Damn its early, now to business." he said as he work on the paperwork.

OOC: I'm not going to be as frequent of a poster, I'll still post at least once a day but I have school so...yeah.

Aiden Park

Aiden quickly and quietly followed the girl towards Eulogy's pad. Nothing was the same. Eulogy was dead and the Talon Mercenaries seemed to be responsible for it. He couldn't help but smirk. The fact that a weak faction such as the Talon Company had taken out Eulogy, it was shameful to the other slaver branches. After all, Talon Company were just well trained soldiers, very few fought with their brains.

He sighed as he surveyed the carnage silently, readying his Taurus Magnum and locking six bullets in the chamber just in case. Aiden kicked one dead slaver over and checked his body before kicking the dead slaver again. "Useless bum..."

Aiden turned to the Talon Mercenaries before smirking, realizing that six bullets precisely aimed weren't enough. "Identify yourselves," Aiden said in a very imposing voice, the serene mindset he had during his last contract completely fading.

But then an explosion outside attracted his attention before Aiden quickly went back to the matter at hand.

Marie-Eulogy's Pad:

"Your that-" she hit the deck with the explosions, once they were over, she grabbed the man by the hand.

"Well, welcome to the Militia, if you aren't, then your dead where you stand, got that?" she grinne

Alpha Squad-Outside Falls:

"Son of a [censored]!" they saw the Vertibird go down

"What fire works" said one of them

Then, a wasteland caravan wandered near then, and they decided it was time for target practice

"Okay, get that rocket launcher ready!" whispered a man to his friend, his friend loaded a RPG with a rocket, and aimed it at the caravn

"Steady....Steady....Fire!" the rocket burst out, and hit the front of the caravan train, the sniper hit four with his rifle, the rest were knifed and dragged into the forest

"Bury the bodies, we don't need people finding this out...." they buried the bodies, and wrecked the caravan train, they took what they needed, and destroyed the rest.

Aiden Park

The girl seized Aiden by the hand. "Well, welcome to the Militia, if you aren't, then you're dead where you stand, got that?" she grinned. He sighed but perked up on the inside when he heard the word "Militia". That usually meant lots of wandering meaning lots of nomadic work.

He smirked. "Very well. But just hope..." Aiden freed himself from her grip and shot one bullet with his revolver, just inches next to her head. "You shoot fast and true," Aiden whispered before emptying the spent shell and putting in a fresh one.

"In any case, I believe that's your men? Because if not, ALL of you better get ready."

Sergeant Dobbs

SATCOM Array NW-05A - 0730 Zulu (2:30am)

The Talon Company Merc shivered in the night air as he peered over the top of SATCOM Array NW-05A's dish, looking out over the Wasteland from 150 ft in the air. Nothing, as usual. "I cannot believe we're working for a ghoul.", thought the merc sourly. "I guess it's true that Talon Company will take any job for the right amount of caps!". He stepped down to the base of the dish, then grabbed the coffeepot from above the small campfire and poured himself another cup, then climbed back up to his post. Still nothing. "Only thing out here is Raiders, and after we fired a couple missiles at them even they don't come around anymore", thought the bored sentry. "I wish I could get on day shift...at least then I could shoot a Mole Rat or something. Hopefully Bannister will send out a relief team so they can go back, and maybe get a posting where I can kill someone. Haven't heard from them in two days."

Nine thousand feet above SATCOM Array NW-05A, the figure plummeted head first towards the earth at 32 feet per second, ignoring the panoramic view of the Wasteland that few had seen in the last two centuries in order to concentrate on the objective below. "A campfire to mark the target for me." the figure thought as he looked at his watch/altimeter, "How considerate. I will have to thank them....in four minutes".

Site R - Briefing Room - 1900 Zulu (2:00 pm) - the previous day

"This is basically a training mission for you, Dobbs.", said the Briefing Officer. "We want to make sure your skills are still sharp, the Big Push is coming, and we need everyone in top form if we are going to finally purify America."

"Excellent idea, sir", Dobbs said sincerely. "I haven't killed anything in six months...the simulators don't count."

"We estimate you'll only get to eradicate four to five individuals.", began the Briefing Officer. "Plenty more where that came from, but we've got to start somewhere." The Officer turned on the holo-projector, and a image of SATCOM Array NW-05A appeared. "They are illegally squatting on Federal Property, this SATCOM Array, which is not far from here. That alone is a Capital Offense, but they have compounded it by using the uplink to get control of still active Bradley-Hercules Orbital Weapons Platform in Low Orbit. Having Wastelanders in control of America's precious military assets just will not do. The plan is to insert you into the top of the Array via HALO jump. You will work your way down, securing the Satellite Control Terminal in the Dish Access space...here. You will then summarily execute all trespassers on Federal Property in accordance with Executive Order 2274-19."

"This mission actually sounds like fun!", said Dobbbs. "What do we know about the Trespassers? Hopefully they'll be at least a little challenging to kill!"

"A Moderate threat", said the Briefing Officer. "Most will be Talon Company mercs, one will be thier employer."

"I thought we were allying with the Talon Company, sir.", said Dobbs. "It wouldn't be right to attack our allies. I must respectfully decline this mission as it goes against my ethics."

The Briefing Officer and Dobbs stared at each other for several seconds before both simultaneously burst into howls of laughter.

"You almost had me until you threw in that melarky about ethics, Sergeant.", said the Briefing Officer after composing himself. "We both know you'd kill your own mother if someone with a higher rank told you to do it. Moving on...we've been jamming thier communications for days now so they do not know thier Commanders have allied with us. No one will miss them, part of Talon Company rebelled and assassinated Commander Jabsco yesterday. The mercs at the Array are assumed to have thrown in thier lot with them."

"Good enough for me....when do I get to go earn my pay?"

"Wheels up at 0700 Zulu (2:00 am). Go get some sack time, soldier!"

"Sir, yes, Sir!"

SATCOM Array NW-05A - 0734 Zulu (2:34am)

Dobbs, his chute now open, glided towards the SATCOM Array. As the Merc standing sentry inside he dish liked to look South for some reason, he had decided to approach from the North. Drifting in, as soon as his feet hit the inside of the dish, Dobbs pulled his silenced 10mm and shot the startled Merc twice in the head before he could even turn around enough to see him. Rapidly gathering up his chute, he moved behind the hatch to the Dish Access space below and removed the chute. After about 30 seconds, the hatch opened and another merc climbed up.

"What the f***, Jimmy?", said the Merc as he walked towards his friend, lying away from the hatch. "You drinking again and fell down? Jabsco will have your..."

Two shots into the back of his head from Dobb's silenced pistol made sure he never ended that sentence.

Dobbs then looked down the hatch, no one was in the Dish Access Space so he dropped his chute inside then climbed down and closed the hatch behind him. Checking the Satellite control terminal, he saw that the launch codes had not been entered. He then hacked the Terminal and entered the lock code he had been given by Command. Now the Terminal could not be used by anyone but the Enclave. After cracking the door to make sure no-one was there, he walked out into the next lower level. As he walked along the walkway towards the hatch to the main body of the Array, he surprised and terminated another merc, this one with a Rocket Launcher and took his ID badge that marked him as "friendly" to the interior defenses. Having verified no one alive was on this level, he then opened the hatch and entered the main part of the Array.

Inside, he found a fourth Talon Merc, this one sleeping in one of the bunks in the access space that led to the hatch outside. After making sure he never woke up, Dobbs cautiously proceeded down the stairs. On the next level, Dobbs found a terminal that controlled the interior defenses. He hacked the terminal and shut the turrets down. From his vantage point, he could see a ghoul...female...furiously typing on a terminal with her back to the stairs. Cautiously sneaking down the stairs, until he had snuck up so close to the ghoul that he could touch it. Dobbs then stood up straight and tapped the ghoul on the shoulder with the silencer of his pistol, then stepped back so the ghoul could stand. "Who the hell are you!", demanded the ghoul as she stood up. "How did you get in here?"

"You are guilty of Trespassing on Federal Property, Misappropriation of War Department Property, and unlawful possession of a mutated genetic structure.", said Dobbs coldly as he shot the ghoul twice in the chest. "The sentence is Death."

Once the ghoul crumpled to the ground, he searched the corpse and found the launch codes, then unlocked the door and walked outside. "Command, this is Barracuda.", said Dobbs over his suit radio. "Package is secured."

"Affirmative, Barracuda.", radioed Command. "Four minutes, 27 seconds. Not bad. Extraction bird is in the air, ETA seven minutes. Good work, Command out."

Dobbs waited for the Extraction Vertibird to bring the force to secure the Array and take him back to Site R. Dobbs was proud of his good night's work. America was just a little bit cleaner.

Site R - Simulation Room - 1930 Zulu (2:30 pm)

Sergeant Dobbs waited for the simulator pod to fully open and climbed out. "Finally got the op under five minutes", thought Dobbs. "Hopefully they'll finally give me a real mission. I'm itching to kill some muties!"

"Sergeant Dobbs", the voice from the PA system said. "Sergeant Dobbs, please report to Briefing Room Charlie."

"Maybe this is finally it!", Dobbs thought hopefully.

Eric and the Talon Company merc tumbled down the hill punching each other, Eric managed to knee the merc in his gut. Eric then pulled a knife out from his boot. He placed it on the merc's exposed throat.

"Tell me everything you know and I will make your passing quick and painless" promised Eric.

The merc was clearly new at this as he started to sob.

"I was just on scouting duties, on the look out for Alpha Squad they have gone rogue, they assassinated Commander Jabsco"

"Is there anything else?" asked Eric.

"Their leader Maire is believed to be at Paradise Falls"

"Thanks for that" said Eric slitting the merc's throat.

Eric quickly searched the merc for caps and ammo, once he was done he headed back the way he came to Megaton, Moriarty would be interested in what Eric had to say. All I have to do now is get back thought Eric.

Jack

An hour had passed and now Jack was growing impatient, he nervously tapped his fingers on the smooth granite top of the main desk within the lobby of Tenpenny Tower, finally after what seemed to be an hour, the calm voice of the man known as Mieux erupted from the intercom, "Tell Jack to once again meet me at the Ambassadors Lounge, I'm interested in what he has to say."

Jack's shriveled and torn heart leapt with excitement, and at hearing Mieux's words ran to the Ambassador's Lounge, granting him shocked looks by passerbys, Finally he had reached the Ambassador's Lounge, its long oak doors beckoning to Jack. He turned the brass knob of the door and entered, After regaining his composure, Jack spoke loudly to Mister Mieux. "Mister Mieux, I have considered buying a room in the Tower, but after our discussion a few days ago, I've thought about being granted a job in security, or something of the like. Perhaps being part of scavenging and scouting operations for reclaiming Pre-War tech for the tower. All I wish is that in some way I can aid in the protection of this tower." Jack's voice rang throughout the lounge. Once more the static over the intercom met Jack's ears, Mieux was most certainly thinking about his options...

Borgia Manus

Borgia lowered his rifle, and approached the dead body of his best friend. Things had suddenly gone silent inside Eulogy's Pad. Borgia removed his 9mm from its holster and climbed the stairs towards Eulogy's hanging body. Just to be sure, Borgia said to himself, raising the pistol to Eulogy's head. Before he could pull the trigger Marie stormed into the pad. Noticing Eulogy's body, she opened fire on it. Borgia holstered his weapon. He was contemplating shouting at the woman to respect the dead when another slaver entered the pad.

Any living Talon Company had now entered and were examining the bodies of their fallen comrades. The slaver shuffled through them and towards Borgia, who was walking down the stairs.

"Borgia, did, did you kill Eulogy?" the slaver asked, nervously. Borgia identified him as Ghost.

"Yes. I now run Paradise Falls." Borgia charged by the slaver and looked to the Talon Company.

"Talon Company, the Militia, whatever the [censored] you're called. Tonight you can stay here, in the barracks west of Falls. However you must find a base soon, you cannot stay here for much longer. Now if you'll excuse me..." Borgia walked back up the stairs and exited onto the balcony, looking over Paradise Falls... his Paradise Falls.

The slavers had largely disbanded from gate. They were walking around, most around Eulogy's Pad. Borgia raised his hands.

"Gather around me," he yelled. There had never been so many slavers walking around Paradise Falls at the same time, but the shooting caused a stir. Borgia looked at the slave pens. All the slaves were gathered around the cage. All no doubt disappointed that the assault wasn't in an effort to save them.

Once the slavers had gathered under the balcony, Borgia began.

"Eulogy Jones is dead, I am now your leader and boss. If anybody has a problem with this, you may leave Paradise Falls unharassed, and take your chances in the Wastes." Borgia paused, but nobody left the group. "Things will operate largely the same, any major changes will not have a great effect on any of you, despite perhaps more missions to be sent on. I assure you that I did not take Paradise Falls for any independent personal gain, I wish to make Falls a great force in the Capital Wasteland. One new addition I have decided to add that I may as well mention now is that of combat training. This is to make you from more organised raiders to soldiers. Any other policies will be mentioned when they are brought in."

"And would Forty meet me in Borgia's Pa... Home, immediately." Borgia turned and re-entered the house. "Clear out!" he shouted at the Talon Company as he passed them and entered Eulogy's room. It was pretty much the same, the dead body of Clover being an exception. Soon after Forty entered.

"Jesus [censored] christ, when you asked me--"

"Have respect for the new leader of Paradise Falls," Borgia snapped, and Forty quietened. "Now, I have decided to make you my right hand man. You have the most experience of the slavers. You shall remain my right hand man so long as you cause no trouble. Now, your first task is to clear the bodies from my home."

Forty nodded. "Thank you, Borgia. I'll get right on it."

Once Forty left, Borgia pulled a chair and sat in it. So many things raced through his mind, he wasn't really sure what was happening. He looked towards the heart shaped bed on the floor, and contemplated having a nap. Or I could call up one man, one woman, some chems and alcohol, and really celebrate my victory. Borgia chuckled, the idea sounding better the more he thought about it. He would need to wait for Forty to dispose of the bodies of course. That [censored] better do good, or I'll have a bullet put thr---

Borgia's thought were interrupted by the sound of shooting outside. "[censored]" Borgia yelled to himself. He didn't expect the slavers to start shooting already. Maybe the Talon Company and slavers disagreed, or perhaps someone decided they didn't like the new management. Borgia grabbed his chinese assault rifle and sprinted for the door. He ran through it and saw many of his slavers running through the gate down the street.

All Borgia could hear was the whooshing sound of a Vertibird. He looked up and saw one, floating in the air. Borgia ignored and ran to the gate, hoping he wasn't gunned down. Behind him he heard an explosion. Borgia looked to the noise and saw one of his slaver barracks crumble and fall. The sight made him loose all focus, and he fell head first into the gate. When he got up he saw Jerry run by him, clutching a missile launcher. He aimed and fired the launcher at the Vertibird. The shot was amazingly well placed, hitting the Vertibird's propellers. The contraption slowly spun in the air before crashing outside Paradise Falls.

Borgia walked into the front of Paradise Falls, utterly bemused. What he saw was about thirty dead slavers littering the ground. Jerry ran by Borgia again, reloading the missile launcher. Towards the entrance there was something happening, but his slavers were crowded together firing at whoever or whatever came through the path into Falls, obstructing his view.

"MOVE!" Jerry screamed, before crouching to one knee and firing the missile launcher. All the slaver who were firing at the entrance ceased.

Jerry dropped the launcher, and everything went deathly quiet ."It was the Brotherhood. The Brotherhood of Steel did this," Jerry announced. More slavers were running to the scene.

"Then we will retaliate," Borgia shouted to the slavers, who broke out in a cheer. But I guess the loss of the barracks means Marie won't even be able to stay one night.

Mieux was now sitting on the balcony, wearing a white pre-war suit, with aviator sunglasses on to keep the sun out of his eyes, he put the Wattz radio to his mouth, "Sure, and as I said, you're going to be given a VIP suite on the 15th floor, free of charge. Also, You seem like just the sort to have the strength to be the Atlas of my towers security problems, when they arise that is. Also, per standard issue, you'll be wearing Pre-War Operation Anchorage fitted Combat Armor, it's white with snow camoflauge, like the rest here. Before you ask why it's snowy and not desert, the answer is simple. Reputation, I rely on my impartiality. Left alone? I'm your favorite business partner, stomp on my work? And I'm your worst enemy. Any raider smart enough knows to leave my men and women alone, the last three tribes who tried that went down, and painfully so, I'll spare you the gruesome details. That said, if you're expecting guns blazing action, you'll be disappointed. But if you're wanting a stable job and scaveging priveleges then this job is right up your alley."

After finishing negotiations, he went inside to cool off, he knocked on Vatris's door. "Vatris, it's Mieux." There was a no response, then the tumblers unlocked, "Listen, I did some digging, and we don't have any broadcast towers, however, to the left of the tower is a Dots Diner, NEAR that diner is a fallen broadcast tower. Now, I'd advise you to send a small team of three to five men to get what you need, unless you want to go with them to find what you need, assuming it's there. Also, I heard alot of those towers have a makeshift bunker made by War survivors, so look around for a nearby sewer grate or manhole. Never know, might find some valuables. Since you'll be doing high end work for me, think of yourself as my number two, so tell Jack, one of our new Security Heads, and send him to the site, let's see how he handles himself. Au Revoire!" He said politely. In a rare moment, he decided to head down to the restaraunt downstairs and have a Brahmin Steak and some wine for dinner.

"Piece of crap." Vatris said as he emptied two rounds into his none-working excuse of a satellite he made from the scavenged radios. It had been a few minutes after Mieux had come by, and the idea of sending some soldiers out to a broadcast station had been heavily on his mind. Vatris gave off a grunt, looking the many radios that he had yet to destroy over. "Perhaps... yes. It could be temporary. Attach a radio to the computer, then have the signal go to that tower Mieux mentioned."

Vatris opened the doors that lead to the balcony, leaning over the railing and looking the Wasteland over. D.C could be seen in the distance.

"If I could just get someone to place one of my bugs over at GNR, we would be set for life," he muttered, scanning the horizon, "That is, as soon as I had my own receiving and sending tower as well... what the." His eyes landed on a area filled with smoke, to the Northeast. Little dots could be seen in the sky, that were far to big to be birds.. of a organic type at least. Vatris's stomach did a back flip as he recalled the destroyed Sentry Bot he had placed at Big Town. "No. They wouldn't make such a big move so early in the game, would they? That's foolish!"

He quickly turned, dashing into his room and opening his briefcase. Shuffling through it's contents, Vatris ripped out a holo-tape recorder, sliding a tape inside. He grabbed another item from the briefcase, a strange microphone of sorts. A voice changer, using Woodrow Wilson once again. Pressing the record button, Vatris began to speak as calmly as he could, though sweat was dripping down his forehead.

"I have heard that you are a new, V.I.P of sorts in this lovely tower. Mieux informs me you are seeking to do work that would aid our cause... well today is your lucky day, Jack. I am in need of some... materials, that when acquired will give us a big boost in the game of Risk we all play. Your orders, if you choose to accept them are quite simple. Head southwest a ways until you reach a place called Dot's Diner. Near that diner is supposedly a fallen tower. All I want you to do is bring it back here... you don't even need to bring the whole thing, I just need the top half. Quarter even. I am sure Mieux can offer you something that will help you bring it back."

Vatris wiped a fair amount of sweat off his head, giving off a grunt before continuing to speak. "Also. There is a chance that you may find some bunkers. Check for manholes, sewer grates, basemants. Any weapons and ammo you may find, you should show Mieux, along with anything else of interest. See if he may have use for it... if not, then it's fair game. Be quick about getting this job done. I need that tower on this rooftop as soon as possible. Enemies of a past era are plotting, and we need to be working ahead of them. Bring some other soldiers with you if you can."

He pressed the record button again, giving off a sigh. "TOM! Get this damn holotape delivered to Jack, RIGHT NOW."

'Right away sir!"

OOC: Feel free to play out Tom the Mr.Handy's actions whenever Vatris sends him out to do stuff.

Marie-Paradise Falls:

She heard that same voice shouting "The brotherhood did this"

She walked up to the scene, and saw the armor

"They aren't brotherhood, the brotherhood have different armor, and look at the symbol, thats not the Brotherhood sign...." she said, and she turned to Jerry

"Okay [censored], you clearly are judging before the facts, this isn't the brotherhood. Got that [censored]?" she said.

Mark

Mark and Mary had arrived at the scene too late, it seemed. Mark estimated about 30 of the Paradise Falls slavers was either murdered or blown up. There was a woman in Talon Company armor staring at armor the enemy had left behind, Mark supposed. Both Mark and Dirty Mary walked towards the strange woman.

The woman was in an argument with a man and she stormed off. Mary was going to walk towards the slave pen when Mark saw something intriguing about the woman. "Wait, no," he told Mary. "Let's follow her."

"What? Why?"

"Come one!"

[[Download Complete]]

Vatris gave off a smirk as he eyed the words on the monitor. Finally, he nearly had everything he needed setup to establish his first base. He gave off a relieved sigh, leaning back in a rolling chair he had brought to his room and grabbing another holo-tape he had placed on the desk, holding his voice changer close by.

"The Programmer, Entry 38. This is my first holo-tape journal I will be making within Tenpenny Tower, the building that you are most likely standing in, listener. Assuming that no intruders have set off the bombs that is." he gave off a chuckle, wiping some sweat from his forehead, "I have finally established my computer and have begun to connect it to Mieux's network. It should only take two hours for the machine to synchronize with everything. Once that is done, I will be able to make some modifications to my computer. Allow it so that information from the outside comes in, but no information goes out. This brings me to my next point... information from the outside."

He leaned against the desk, closing his eyes. "I have absolutely no intention of my operations to remain inside this tower alone. My first step will be to re-active my wireless systems, using the radio signals all around this Wasteland. Once I do this, I can access three robots I have bugged and do some spying through them. Well... hopefully three. One of them may or may not have been terminated. The Robots alone though will not be enough, nor will information. If I am to create a civilization amongst the Capital Wasteland that does consist of, scrap metal and irradiated water, I must make a selling point. Any fool can hand out guns, and anyone can kill to appease others... but how many people can say to someone, 'If you wish for fruit, join my ranks. If you want to take a bath in WARM, CLEAN water, let us talk some business. If you need a form of transport that doesn't revolve around cows, I can make you a automobile."

Another chuckle escaped Vatris as he did a spin in the chair, "A automobile. How many people even know what that word means these days? To few, that is certain... but that shall change, by the end of this generation. I have said it before in holo-tapes left back in my old base of operations, and I shall say so again. Before I die, the old land of America will be reborn. A new government of course, for the old one seems to be intent on killing off it's own people. I speak of course, of The Enclave. Right now, nobody knows much about them besides perhaps me and some other, shady types. But I am certain that by the time you are listening to this, they will either be your future, or the past. Oh, so much I can say about them, but for now, we will have to leave it at this. It is time for me to get to work on a new servant."

Vatris pressed the record button, setting the Holo-Tape and Voice Changer down and giving off a sigh as he pulled out a marker, writing the number 38 onto the tape before putting it into a small cabinet under the desk. He then spinned his chair to face the door, tapping his fingers on the arms and beginning to hum.

"Where the hell is my little robot?"

Ghost turned his attention to the woman who claimed that the men were not Brotherhood of Steel, Ghost did not believe this one bit. The Brotherhood of Steel had many battles with the Paradise Falls Slavers a couple years back and he has always predicted them coming back. It was clear to Ghost that the Brotherhood of Steel did this.

"[censored] you dumb woman!" yelled Ghost "Who have you ever seen before who knows how to wear Power Armor? The only people are the Brotherhood! Where they got this new armor from I don't care we will destroy those peace keeping mother [censored]ers!"

Marie-Paradise Falls:

She turned her attention to a man ranting and cursing to her, she motioned for two Militants to grab him and hold him down.

"Listen here sonny, and listen good. See this symbol?" she showed the man the piece of the armor "This isn't Brotherhood."

Alpha Squad-Talon Company FOB (In cliffs outside Falls):

Alpha squad moved in swiftly against the FOB, their sniper counted 15 men inside.

"Okay, we need to take them out quietly." They killed the two guards at the gate, and threw their bodies off the cliff.

"Sniper, kill this bastard at the ammo dump." the sniper shot him, and the guards scrambled outside the gate, they were killed by Alpha Squad.

The squad leader radioed to Marie

"Marie, we just totally killed a entire base worth of Talon, we can use this as a base!"

Ghost was furious, the Brotherhood of Steel where his long time enemy and he wanted the slavers to go after them even if it wasn't them who attacked the Falls.

Borgia Manus

Borgia had calmed down. The slavers had begun moving the bodies. Borgia grabbed a pack of cigarettes from inside his pocket and lit it up. He had become leader for not more than a half hour, and the Brotherhood of Steel [censored] hit.

"Sir, we got an issue."

Borgia looked towards the voice, seeing Jerry. "What is it now, Jerry?"

"That woman, Marie, started saying that they weren't Brotherhood who attacked. She's now had her men..grab Ghost."

Borgia sighed and motioned for Jerry to lead the way, following him. As they approached Marie yelling at an apprehended Ghost, Borgia turned to Jerry.

"I'm sick of this, they're on Paradise Falls. Kill em', I'll deal with the woman."

Jerry nodded and opened two shots, killing one of the Talon Company. Borgia opened fire from his chinese assault rifle, killing the second. Ghost dropped to the ground.

"Get your men, and leave Paradise Falls. Now. If you refuse, I'll have you killed," Borgia said harshly to Marie. "Your deeds will not go unrewarded, but at this present moment you need to [censored] off."

Marie-Paradise Falls:

Marie glared at Borgia

"[censored] you!" she stormed off, running away with her small group of men.

Marie-Militia Base:

"Ma'am, we just recruited about 20 men from a town nearby. We might-" the man was interupted

"Get men onto the HMGs and make sure we have a detail on guard all the time."

Aiden Park

Aiden surveyed the carnage with more detail and saw shockingly similar armour to that of that day. He recognized it in an instant. It was probably the Enclave. Very few knew their existence and even fewer knew that they were still active. At least everybody knew of Enclave Radio...

Then before he knew it, he was following Marie after her little outburst towards a base, silent the whole time. After a conversation with some man, Aiden sighed. "What exactly is going on here? First an En...unknown attack," He said, trying not to say the name of the Enclave, "And now...I'm here. Care to explain Marie?" Aiden asked with a hint of venom in his voice.
