Oh hey, if someone makes a comment on my character will I get a PM at GHF and/or an email to my GHF registered address to give me a heads-up?
Maybe... maybe I should just RTFM?

No, that won't happen. I thought about it, but it didn't go much further than that. Maybe at some point in the future.

Can I have someone who is willing to help me do some bug killing testing? I need someone who is having problems with the OnDeath call not firing (kill counts not increasing, no journal entries for Morag Tong hits, etc.)

I just uploaded an update that fixes a few major bugs and a few minor ones.

v1.1

-- Fixed major bug preventing other OnDeath scripts from triggering events

-- All human and creature kills should be reported far more accurately now

-- Kills caused by spell casting are now recorded

-- Fargoth's Ring badge reports for everyone now

-- Morag Tong membership reports on the character profile

Thank you Peachykeen!

C&E is incredible and we all know it wouldn't have been possible without you! Thanks to you, Fliggerty for pointing out it was a joint effort. FInally, thank you to everyone who has made this mod possible. It is most definitely as amazing as everyone says it is.

Going to bug test, now.

I just uploaded an update that fixes a few major bugs and a few minor ones.

Fargoth's Ring badge, and Morag Tong faction info is working now. :) Same with OnDeath.

What I still see as not working:
NPC/Creature kills (still not seeing Badges)
Cells entered
Weapon Swings
Console Commands
Times Traveled

(Note: I installed C&E mid-game, but I thought that didn't matter. All the info is there to be read by the Uploader. )

Keep up the good work, GHF team.

Bugfix#1 out the door in double-quick time. As on the ball as ever, Fligg.
I shall do my best to find bugs to harangue you with just as soon as the exam season ends. :P

Pluto, the info you sent me (which I did neglect to reply to, sorry and thanks :hehe:) showed me that those things were not recorded in your cne file. The NPC/Creatures kills is what I focused on repairing today. Unfortunately it's not possible to get the stats for past kills, it will only record new ones.

I strongly suspect that your system is one of those that is subject to the GetSoundPlaying bug (http://sites.google.com/site/johnmoonsugar/Home/morrowind-scripting-tips) which explains many of those things which are not reporting right for you. I intend to put together a small testing mod at some point soon to find out for sure. The others are key press issues. Have you ever had an issue with other key-press dependent MWSE mods?

Most of the info recorded by the mod has to be recorded as you play. Much of that information cannot be retrieved from the save file with the current abilities.

I am currently just using a little laptop, so issues are likely.

Good to know. Inspiration for starting a new character ;)

Okay, for my very first test, I used my last savegame in which I had already killed Umbra. The C&E update caused no issues. WHen I uploaded, I got the Fargoth's ring badge, but didn't get the Killed Umbra Badge. Next, I'm going to go back to a previous save and see if I get it as well as the OnDeath journal update.

Speaking of journal updates, the journal page only shows me the first 40 days.

PS, is this the thread/site you wanted me to post my results to, Fligg?

Well then. I went back to a previous save with the C&E update (again, no issues). I killed Umbra, my journal updated properly, I recorded and uploaded, no Killed Umbra Badge. Since I am not personally concerned with the badges, I'm okay with it now that the OnDeath issue is fixed. YAY!!!

I'll add it to my list. Hopefully I'll have time to work on that today.

I just want to put out a bit of a blanket statement. If you've sent me a PM about anything lately, chances are I have read it and just not responded yet. My PM inboxes are filling up rapidly lately, so I just ask a bit of patience please. :goodjob:

Just wanted to let everybody know that there's now a http://www.fliggerty.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=66 if you're having any issues with the mod. We're currently working on fixes some slowdowns and crashes and we should have an update soon.

Does anyone have a small tutorial on how to neatly upload a journal? http://www.fliggerty.com/phpBB3/cne/cne_journal?id=1040 keeps getting messy and cut off. (I'm using Wrye Mash to get the .htm file.)

@ Da Nang:

The journal.htm should upload fine directly from your Morrowind folder . . . that is, fine up to a point. I have yet to see more than 50 days uploaded on my profile, but that issue has been reported as well. Thanks for letting us know, though.
For the record, the procedure is as follows:
1. follow the instructions to upload your character (otherwise there would be no profile to upload your journal to)
2. go to the Census and Excise main page and click on the link on the left called 'Manage Your Characters' (or if your avatar is still up, click on it)
3. On the resulting page will be the avatars for all of your uploaded characters; click on the one you want to upload your journal for.
4. On the resulting page, click on the ' Name's Menu' button and select 'Upload Images or Journal'
5. On the resulting page click on the 'What You Want to Upload' button and select 'Upload Journal'
6. Under the heading 'Select the file you wish to upload. (It must be an htm file.)' click the 'Choose' button and navigate to your Morrowind folder on your computer.
7. Select Journal.htm and click 'ok' or 'open', or whatever your OS uses to confirm.

Journal.htm is already in the correct format for uploading though it may not upload completely until the bug is tracked down and killed.

For some reason I can't upload any images to the site. :( I've tried in jpg and bmp. When I click upload image the browser just gives white page and nothing happens.

I haven't been the most active member of the Morrowind community recently but returning to Vvardenfell did cross my mind several times this week and I was glad to see this project not only announced but also released. :) I sprinted off and registered immediately, will hopefully have some time to try it out next week or thereabouts.

@ Ranchester:

It could have been a temporary server issue, as you can imagine, Fligg's server is getting a LOT of traffic these days. Try again when you get the chance and if you still experience this problem, please let us know what files you're trying to upload and what browser and version you're using. If you can post this to the GHF support thread Jac mentioned, it would be good, since that way folks can find all their issues and solutions in one thread, but if that's not good for you, we can continue here. :)

Hmm, IE says :

?The website is under maintenance.
?The website has a programming error

Do I have to change the picture sizes myself? Or is it supposed to be automated?

I identified and resolved a coding error that was preventing uploading of some screenshots.

@ Ranchester:

That was Fligg identifying and fixing your issue. :D The size should be adjusted automatically, but make sure your avatar is just a head shot; it won't be cropped, just shrunk.

On a related note, the images must be in one of the following formats to upload:

jpeg/jpg, gif, or png

The Badge Legend is extremely annoying. If you ever happen to hover over it for even a second, it never goes away unless you refresh the page. Maybe put it somewhere else or change it's layout/activation/whatever?

EDIT: also, half the time I upload a picture and click the "return to character overview" button afterwards I get this message:

"You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1"

There's a "Close" button at the bottom of the legend. I will see if I can implement some sort of delay on the mouse over though.

Does that happen when uploading screenshots, or avatar images, or any?
