The Challenges are way tough!

Post » Fri Sep 11, 2009 5:18 pm

I just trying to get attachments and new guns but these challenges are ridiculously hard even with another person and I even have friends who agree with me. Is there any way,the developers of Bethesda, could do something about this. If not then that is ok.

Parkour This is definitely the easiest challenge as there are no enemies, but the other 3 are tricky without the right setup. For the last 2 challenges, Escort Duty and Tower Defense, I use the heavy body type and my weapons the Chinzer MG and the Gerrund AR. On Tower Defense always use the mines at whatever doors the enemies catch you from, and on Escort Duty put down mines and you're turret before you repair the bot. The first challenge is the hardest for me, if you are having trouble on it then try pushing the enemies back to their spawn at the start until your team moves up. Once your team are with you the challenge becomes A LOT easier. Sorry for any spelling mistakes.

ya my friend and I could only get pass the first objective in Be More Objective so we decided to do Escort Duty but every time I try to do anything we both get shot and die plus he is a heavy type and dies within 3 seconds of the enemy spawning but I will try the Parkour This and hopefully pass it and thank you for replying.

I only really found Be More Objective ** hard, the escort duty map just take you time, once the enemies are there no more come until you move forward so if the bot gets stopped, kill all but one bot, go back behind it, put your turret down and then start to fix. Keep moving left to right and crouch behind it, and keep an eye on that other enemy. Fix all the way up, rinse and repeat. It's pretty tight quarters and I used a Medium with 2 SMGs to do it. Heavy use of grenades saves the day. ** Escort Duty might require at least some Universal Skills to be bought to make you a little harder.

On Tower Defense use an SMG and the Sea Eagle pistol, and use your turrets to cover the top level entrances and mines too. Stay on the platform and shoot them as they come up the stairs with your CQC weapons, use the pistol (it has high damage) to pepper anyone who is reluctant to come up to the top level and just take it one person at a time. Keep an eye on the top level entrances because the best tactic for those is just to ADS as they enter the map and gun them down straight away. Dont forget you can cook grenades and you should be good to go.

Plus, btw, I've found that if you do it Co Op you dont unlock the weapons, you have to do it Solo.

I beat be more objective it was pretty hard but I learned a good strategy. I play with the big body type so I can take a bunch of damage. On 1 and 2 star run to plant the bomb as fast as you on the door but on 3 star you have run out to the left first and run to the middle were the door is. There is one box there in the middle that I can duck behind to take full cover and can shoot over while standing Its about 15 ft from the door you have to plant the bomb on. If you get to this box quick enough you can it make before the enemy gets to the middle area were the would be able to shoot you if you were planting the bomb. As they come around the corner its easy to hose them. I use the Maximus MG with the high capacity magazine so I will have 112 bullets in the clip and the Galactic SMG with the SMG drum magazine so I will 90 bullets in the clip with I use they big clips so I can limit my reloading. As they come around the corner you got to remember that there is 6 of them. From this spot its easy to take down all six as they come around the corner and with the high capacity magazines I don't need to reload to get all 6 of them and do not use the malatov cocktail save it. You have to do it quickly and remember all six of them if you forget one he will quickly kill you while you plant the bomb. This will give short moment to plant the bomb but you don't even have time to reload after killing all six of them before planting the bomb. Its a short trip for them to get back and your team gives you very limited cover if you take the time to reload before planting the bomb the will make it there in perfect timing to kill you as you plant the bomb everytime that not reloading time is critical. So its unload 2 clips kill six enemies plant the bomb. Right after planting the bomb I run back to that same cover spot as I reload my SMG and not my primary gun cause it takes to long. From that same cover spot I use my SMG to cover myself because the enemy will charge around that cover spot to get me. When the engineer tries to defuse the bomb I throw my malatov cocktail at him which is why I save it cause the engineer will make it there every time and with only 90 bullets in my clip it not enough to protect myself and kill the engineer so I save the cocktail just for him as he tries to defuse the bomb. Once the timer is low to were I know the bomb is gonna blow no matter what I fall back and reload my weapons the use my ammo fill buff to top of my ammo. Then I go back to that same cover spot and kill any enemies that might get me as I change to an engineer and the control panel. Then I fall back again and use my damage buff and try to buff any teammates I can. Then from there I head toward the left exit of the base so I can get on the far side of the structure so can come from there right flank. Its the corner you would be in if you toke 90 degree right coming out of the enemy base. From there I shot any guys in the open and make my toward the generator. From there I can take out any one that up top then once there all on ground level and start to hose the enemy down around the stairs going up to the generator. I run up the stairs and look toward there base from the top of the stairs. Its easy ti kill them as they come out of there base. Once I have a free moment I plant a turret looking down the stair toward their base. Then start to repair the generator. Between my turret and my team I can get the generator half way done before my turrets goes out. I will stop repairing to kill some enemies and make another turret then start repairing the generator again. Hopefully the second turret last long enough to finish the generator if it doesn't I'm usually out of ammo and will die. But Have had last long enough to get the generator done. Once its done hop down to the first floor and the control panel is real close to switch to an operative. From the control panel I run straight to the stairs closer to our base with the big body type I cant take any fancy routes up. I run up to the third floor Once I'm to the top of the stairs I take a right turn and run to the corner and hide behind cover. From that corner on the third floor, the same corner you have to take the final package, its easy to make my way to the hacking point with all the cover they give. The enemies will be across the way and coming up the far stairs I shot them as I move making my own cover fire and take cover when I need to heal. Once I make it to the corner with hacking point I plant a turret facing the stairs the come up then i start to hack. I will stop hacking at moments to support my turret since it doesn't last long on its own. Once hacked Its a short run to the spot were the hatch comes open and you need to drop in and get the package. When coming out of the area with the package I go left away from the enemy base and run the long way around the structure to the stairs. Once I'm up the stairs the rest easy to do just run up to the third floor and drop off the package. With this strategy I have beaten the challenge on 3 stars without dying 2 times it took a lot of tries but I have been able to complete it on 3 star without dying

It always helps to do this on a new character, being level 1 or 2. Because the enemy bots don't seem as 'skillful.'

Exactly as Lawl said, make a new character to do the challenges since the enemies scale with your level. It will still be a challenge but it will be much easier than doing it solo at lvl 20. Be more objective was the worst one for me too. If only the friendly ai actually bothered to buff you up and stick together to push the enemy back so you can complete the objectives.

Just a quick query while the subject is in discussion. Does anybody know if the 3 Star difficulty Challenges must be completed solo in order to get the Achievement on 360? I too have had trouble with them and I wouldn't say that I svcked at the game.

I can't get through Be more Objective 2 stars (To get Bulpdaun and Speed Slings) solo because the enemy team are headshotting gods and my AI team svcks balls and I tried with 4 other players online, won the game but didn't recieve anything.

Do * and ** challenges with a new char, w/o levelling him in between, particularly on Escort and Tower defence.

Objective at ** and *** is just a case of persistence, as your reliance on nerfed team-bots introduces an element of luck.

You have to be offline to earn the rewards.

The only hard part about Be More Objective 2* is the hackbox; play it early as a low-level character for starters, sprint right to the box and take out any bots immediately in your way, plant the box even if you're being shot at, run around the corner to the command post cage (you still get full bars), finish hacking. Your allies should be stupid enough to at least stand around and draw the fire. If it doesn't work, it gets removed or you die, try it again. That's how I always go about that one.

Quoted as truth.

The AI has access to the exact same skills you do at your level tier. So the longer you wait to complete the challenges, the more likely you are to run into AI with good skills (read: medium turrets, etc.) I had to create a new character and play Be More Objective to unlock the sling. I simply couldn't beat the AI alone once they got some skills.

The other one and two start challenges really weren't bad solo, just Be More Objective.
