so im sure by now everyone has heard of the chicken snitch bug that has been taken out. what im wondering is how did that work out? like did they run up to a guard ala lassy and say "buck buck bagahh" and the guard would say something like "whats that, coronel sanders?" "somebodys stealing the horses again?" "stop! criminal scum!" or was it like a glitch where the chickens had a voice to report the crime? whos voice u think it sounded like?? lol idk i thought this was interesting

I doubt NPCs actually run to find a guard. Likely after a set amount of time, if witnesses survive, the guard telepathy kicks in and the hive mind alerts all guards in with the faction flag for the local area.

I hope there's no more hive mind. Battlemages should use telepathy though. It's canon.
