No, but uh... why would you be buying a mATX board?

It was one of the ones you suggested, according to newegg.

That would be the P8P67-M Pro, not the P8P67 Pro. Which Newegg doesn't seem to be carrying. They have the Deluxe, which is about $30 more expensive, but is pretty similar (plus it has Bluetooth).

Ok so I have a creative sound card and for some reason my pc doesn't want to recognize it. I downloaded the drivers but those did nothing at all.

My card worked fine but since I just reinstalled windows, it doesn't seem to want to show up now.

I've been wanting to buy a new PC, and I think I've decided on the following parts:

CPU: Intel Core i5-650
GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130565, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131374&cm_re=HD6850-_-14-131-374-_-Product or am I fine with a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131330&cm_re=HD5770-_-14-131-330-_-Product? I kind of want to play my games on max settings with a 22" monitor.
RAM: I'll just chuck 4GB or 6GB DDR3s in. Prices for RAM here are quite erratic and change quite quickly.

Other parts like PSU, MoBo, etc, are undecided as availability varies per shop I go to.

Online's really not an option for my country, and the prices will vary a lot but I still linked to newegg.

Are there any websites that let you choose parts, then ship it to you built?

You could find a local computer place to put it together for around $70 or so, most likely. Any of the places that will let you choose parts and then assemble it and ship it generally still overcharge for the parts. And really, putting it together yourself is not hard, doesn't take long, and is a valuable learning experience that will make troubleshooting hardware problems and installing upgrades much, much easier. The first time dealing with computer hardware and assembling a PC is always much harder than any following adventures you may have with such things, and it's still fairly easy.

What's wrong with buying one of those decent pre-builts now, and just upgrading it later as you see fit?

I don't think anything would be wrong with that personally.

Yes, just name a budget and there are plenty of folks on here that can look up some parts for you.

I never said it'd be wrong, but for those of us on a budget, building it gives you more bang for your buck.

Select the model on http://support.creative.com/Products/product_list.aspx?catID=1&CatName=Sound+Blaster and look for 'Product Identification Module Update' under 'Applications'.

I had the same issue a couple times. It seems to come and go but that always fixes it up.

Something like this:
http://i53.tinypic.com/i2vkb8.jpg
Coupon code "HARDOCPX316A" gives $10 off the X4 955.

Could be made cheaper to make room for buying Windows if you need to.

Also, which state you live in matters, since some charge tax, which would put it at about $650 instead of $600.

I don't see 'Product Identification Module Update' on there for my card model.
EDIT: Another issue that just came up, is that now my wireless network created a new name for itself. It used to be "dlink" but now is "dlinkAED3". And now requires me to enter a password when I never set up a password for it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833127220&cm_re=dir_625-_-33-127-220-_-Product

Ahh yes, I'll probably need Windows 7(probably home premium) as well. Anyway, how good is that current set you showed me? Would it be able to run games like Team Fortress 2?

I know Mozilla has their own support forum but I figure I would try here first.

With the newest version of Thunderbird it seems to randomly forget all my passwords. I know my system is clean but it happened again. I have to reinput the passwords for both incoming and outgoing mail and it is becoming quite annoying. I made it save them but it probably will happen again. Anyone have any ideas why this keeps happening?
