Yes.
That's good but I'll probably need a cheaper rig because Windows 7 home premium is 170$ though..

I've heard horror stories.

My Dell XPS 8300 is being recalled, and I bought my own power supply and sold the one that came with the computer. I'm hoping they'll take it back anyway.

Edit: As in, with no power supply. Otherwise I'll try my luck with sticking the one from my old computer in.

Is Dell customer service any good?

It depends

Their business customer service is grade-A, their standard customer service is eh. Better than Acer, but still not great. It used to be horrible, but they improved significantly over the last 5 or so years

They tell you to use 2 different drives (maker, model, chipset etc...) for EAC. However, I tried that and found out that two completely different drives never have the same offsets. This results different results in a half of the tracks. But EAC says both are good. So since there is no way to know the offset for a particular drive exactly, you can never get identical results with all CDs out there in the world. I'm wondering if using one drive is good enough for EAC, as long as the read and test CRCs match.

Any major differences between the two? thanks.

One has a slightly faster processor (X2 255), but the other has a better video card (GT 240). The GT 240 does not support DX11, but not that the Radeon 5450 could utilize it all that well anyways being as weak as it is.

Are there any websites that let you choose parts, then ship it to you built?

There are with CyberPowerPC being one of them:
http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/

However, with your budget you will quickly see that building a PC yourself will get you more.

600$ maximum, could you guys work with that?

Well, this build comes out to be a bit under $650:

I don't see 'Product Identification Module Update' on there for my card model.
EDIT: Another issue that just came up, is that now my wireless network created a new name for itself. It used to be "dlink" but now is "dlinkAED3". And now requires me to enter a password when I never set up a password for it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833127220&cm_re=dir_625-_-33-127-220-_-Product

(Just realized) Damn, it's under driver not application, my bad.

What card is it? I have had that option for my X-Gamer and Titanium. Seems they removed the X-Gamer one though. How odd!

When you rip with two different drives using EAC, because of the different offsets, they often return different CRCs. But EAC reports that they are both accurate because each drive is consistent with itself in the test and copy runs. Should I just accept that or should I try to find out what the offsets of the drives are and try to calibrate them?

Might be able to help me out here....

I have recently upgraded my computer to 64-bit, and therefore decided to take advantage of it and install 8 gigs of RAM. Then suddenly I'm getting a strange bug. Whenever I play a game after a few minutes it will freeze and after a short wait, will start again with a pop-up saying the video kernal driver has failured and recovered....and often the game will just conitue playing. Taking the new RAM out again stops this from happening.

Now here where I think the problem might lie. Two sticks are Kington, Two sticks are Corsair....however, both are 2Gig, 800hz and so I didnt think it would be a problem when I bought them (the store was out of corsair). Its there prehaps another reason why this is happening? Motherboard drivers needing updating or something?

EDIT: I switched around what DIMM slots each stick was in, and after an hour it seems ot be runnnig fine now....might just have been a loose connection.

I am now looking for a simple .avi to .flv converter program, preferably free but if not, cheap as possible. I know I can Google (and I have been) but there's like 10000000000 and I have no idea what might be considered a 'safe' one from a 'safe' download site. I don't download programs/software very often so I am not in the know about such things. Are there any known reputable ones? :/

Hey guys, I was wondering what GPU upgrades you would recommend for my HP Pavilion Elite e9280 I'm looking into getting a DX11 graphics card for it cause I'm sick of not being able to click those pretty enable DX11 boxes T_T.
Current card is a GT 220 which is what came with the computer. Preferably within the 1gb range though I don't know if any DX11 cards are less.

Well, 1 car you could drive by yourself. While for 3 cars you need 2 friends.

Simple answer: more power. Multiple graphic cards (assuming you did mean card) could mean more power/speed. So less lag on higher graphic settings, or perhaps faster rendering etc if you do video-editing and such. Although I haven't heard about someone using more than 2 cards in a simple pc.

Don't know anything else, but there is probably more to it than just power and speed.

tri-screen? Wow.
Normally I would say: pick one card, since two cards will age just as fast. And I believe that one card, twice as good as a card you can buy 2 from, is cheaper. If you get what I mean.
But with 3 screens..geez, I don't know.

Each screen would requires more GPU (If you don't have them all displaying the same).

My advise would be: Get 2 screens, 1 card.
But I dont know the reasons why you want 3 screens.

Well, how much are you looking to spend? The Radeon 5670, 5750, and 5770 are good cards that are rather light on power consumption.
I believe your PC comes with a 350W power supply.

You're going to want to look into http://www.amd.com/US/PRODUCTS/TECHNOLOGIES/AMD-EYEFINITY-TECHNOLOGY/Pages/eyefinity.aspx technology, multi-screen setups is something they focus on.
