The Companions Vs. The College

Post » Mon Jul 11, 2011 6:26 pm

I remember reading in an interview with Todd that certain quests or faction-lines will not be accessible due to the choices that you make. Now, do you think that there could be some sort of rivialry or tension between the companions and the College of Winterhold? Say, for a Spellsword-esque character who doesn't know which faction to choose? I've just been thinking very heavily on the type of character that I'd like to play for my first play-through in Skyrim... I am also a tad sad that there are no "good" factions for stealth characters... At least that we know of.... But that's aside the point... So, The College vs. The Companions... Your thoughts...?

I hope. In Morrowind, we had three great houses. You could only join one because the tensions were too great. While that may sound bad, it was actually a really great feature. No one character could play through all factions.

But I don't believe they could give thieves an upper hand by letting them join two factions .

Unfortunitally, I believe he meant tensions between minor factions and the Companions/the college. Such as Necromancers vs mages in Oblivion. Or fighters vs blackwater.

Blackwood Company was awesome. They were so epic, they used steroid hallucinogens, then they slaughtered everyone. Plus, that armor was sharp.

Well, the Thieve's Guild back and the Dark Brotherhood is supposedly back (I say supposedly because we don't know if its joinable). So those are two stealth factions.
U

EDIT: Misread the comment. Well, the Thieve's Guild is basically good. Going all Robin Hood as they do. Just because you break the law, doesn't mean you're bad...

Or fighters vs blackwater.

Freudian slip there...amirite? lol.

Can you elaborate on this?

Do you mean that the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves' Guild are "bad" factions?

Booty, "good" as in "nice" not as in "fun".
