The "Completely Random Ideas That Will Never Make It To

Here's a random idea that will never make it to the game:

Iso view with tactical turnbased combat taking all possible advantages of the next gen "goodies".

That's in the game. What I'd like is character-age-specific dialogue. Anything that adds more/less/different dialogue based on the various aspects of one's character are always sweet and are the kind of thing that ACTUALLY add to replayability and that good RPG feel.

Yeah, saw that yesterday.

And I agree. Of course, that is the issue with a fully voice-acted rpg. It makes it technically and financially impractical to include a lot of different dialogue styles. I really like the original Fallout system of voice acting major characters and using text for minor characters.

I know this would probably be impossible for developers but...

...none-retarded combat AI.

I'm not asking for my companion's to be using guerilla tactics, I'm just tired of trained mercenaries with good ranged weapons, charging OUT of their well-defended base to shoot at me. What???

How about a fart button? If you want bad karma and people to dislike you then fart around them. If you accumulate enough farts in one room you can light them with the flamethrower like broken gas vents so it would add a trap element!
Perfect, I win at life!

If only...

Wait, it's not possible to know to what extend, or it's not possible to make the AI better? Both are false, 'cus the new footage shows that they have done nothing to mitigate FO3's horrible AI (makes sense that it has terrible AI when you think that the engine was designed for a medieval/fantasy game) and it is VERY possible to make it better, there are in fact SIMPLE mods for FO3 that go a long way to making more convincing and less handicapped AI.

you do realise your basing all your ranting on a few moments in one video....hardly a solid evidence to claim that all enemies act "stupid"

Choice 1: Don't play it.

Choice 2: You say there's a mod for it? Good, use it.

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1084811-weapons/page__view__findpost__p__15867970 deserves a mention.

LOL! I remember that one. The pure randomness and audacity of the weapon makes it awesome, if very unlikely. Unlikely as in they get every single A-List celebrity in the US to do VO's for free for the game

a random encounter where you enter a hangar to find hundreds of Refrigderators, you open up one to find the preserved head of Richard Nixon. Others include Bret Favre(with a football in a block of Ice above him) Bill Cosby, and other famous folks.

...

That would be so freaky! :o What a cruel insect. It would also be a little reference to Alien aswell.

Considering that Cazadors might be a bit big to fit inside humans, maybe there's a brahmin cattle herder that you meet who is worried about one of his brahmin that he found in coma in the morning, and he asks you for help. As you are about the examine the brahmin you see that there's movement inside him and then suddenly...!!! Well, you know the rest.
