Title says it all, really. We all have those dumb/random ideas that will never make it to the game. Post them here.

My idea:

Overdosing!
If you take to many drugs, similar to there being a chance to get addicted, you have a chance to overdose! Not sure how this could manifest, though- I was thinking something like 2 random SPECIAL stats are lowered to 1?

Also, if there are any ideas that really shine, are amazingly, hilariously bad, etc., I might add them to this post.

Girlfriend/Boyfriend as a Companion, increases Karma whenever they survive a fight but if they die you lose ALOT of Karma and they are gone forever. Drunks can be found in new vegas, if you get to close, speak to them or shoot them they will throw up on you, blinding you, and knock you out with there bottle of vodka, take you into a dark alley and steal any booze and chems (except stimpacks if they count) from you. Also have quests where you can ride shotgun in vehicles and shoot enemies with a mounted weapon or the ones they have equipped. Also make it possible to get your own house and by or take furniture and place it around the house to decorate it.

you know after reading about how better the older fallout were i got them all , and they werent that much awesome .

Your character talks, but without saying anything.
Sort of like Dragon Age.

I think they do that because:
a. They don't think it's necessary.
b. They don't want to you to have a character with a voice you don't think matches them as you progress through the game.
c. They don't want to have to build a feature that let's you choose voice pitch and inserts it into the game.

I'd like to see cats.
Even if they're just there to look nice, I want cats.

Racism. This is supposed to be a universe with a deviated timeline that has a 1950s view of the future. Did racism just drop off the planet? It'd be interesting to see signs that say "Whites Only" and have certain NPCs and factions react differently based on your race. Imagine running through point lookout as a dark skinned character and the tribals talk in their countrified voice, "We don't like your kind 'round here." Of course this will never happen with the PC mindset that is rampant in the world. If they aren't going to add racism at least explain why it doesn't exist.
